This is my new favorite fragrance for the summertime, and I can say without hesitation that I highly recommend Mind Games Blockade. In a world where performance, projection, and longevity often dominate the conversation, this is one of the rare scents that reminds me why I fell in love with fragrance in the first place: the scent profile alone is so addictive, so effortlessly enjoyable, that all those technical details fade into the background. Even if it disappeared after a few hours, I would still reach for it again and again, because what it delivers in the moments when it shines is a genuine 10/10 experience. Blockade opens with a burst of bright, juicy character that immediately sets the tone for warm-weather wear. The star of the show is the mango: not the sugary, artificial kind you find in candy or body sprays, but a fresh, almost green mango that feels like it was just sliced open on a hot afternoon. There’s a slight tartness and a touch of greenness that keep it from ever becoming cloying. It smells like ripe fruit still attached to the tree, surrounded by leaves and stems, rather than a syrupy, tropical cocktail. From the very first spray, it projects a mood of energy, confidence, and easygoing charm. Supporting that mango is a carefully balanced blend of citrus and greenery that keeps the fragrance feeling clean and uplifting. The bergamot adds sparkle and brightness, giving the opening a fizzy, almost sparkling quality, while the tomato leaf note brings a subtle vegetal edge. That tomato leaf is particularly interesting: it doesn’t turn the fragrance strange or off-putting, but instead adds texture and depth. It’s like brushing past plants in a sunlit garden — a very natural, outdoorsy green feeling that blends beautifully with the fruit. The result is a top accord that feels modern, tropical, and sophisticated all at once. As Blockade moves into the heart, the composition smooths out and becomes more rounded, but it never loses its fresh character. What impresses me most is how the scent profile manages to feel both playful and refined. Many tropical or fruity fragrances lean heavily into sweetness and can come across as loud, sticky, or one-dimensional. Blockade avoids that trap entirely. The mango here is vivid but controlled, the brightness is balanced by a discreet greenness, and the composition feels carefully constructed rather than thrown together for shock value. It’s the kind of fragrance that turns heads and earns compliments, not because it shouts, but because it smells genuinely appealing and different from the usual blue or overly sweet offerings. Eventually, as Blockade settles into its drydown, the base notes start to emerge and give the fragrance a smoother, more grounded character. Even here, the overall feel stays fresh and wearable, but there is just enough depth to keep it from feeling hollow. When it comes to performance, opinions are often divided, and I understand why: you will read endless debates about longevity, sillage, and whether an expensive fragrance should last all day or project across a room. For me, though, with Blockade, the longevity and projection honestly don’t even matter. That’s how good this scent profile is. The enjoyment I get from the opening and the way it develops on my skin completely outweighs any complaints about how long it sits there or how far it travels. I’m perfectly happy to reapply if I need to, because every fresh spray brings back that incredible burst of green mango and airy freshness that made me fall in love with it in the first place. That, I think, is the biggest compliment I can give Blockade: it makes me stop obsessing over performance and simply enjoy the smell. I wear fragrances first and foremost for myself, and this is one that I genuinely look forward to putting on. It feels like my personal signature for the warmer months — something that instantly boosts my mood, fits almost any casual or semi-formal situation, and never fails to make me feel put-together and attractive. On a hot summer day, with a bit of breeze in the air, Blockade feels absolutely perfect: bright but not harsh, fruity but not childish, tropical but still classy. In terms of when and where to wear it, Blockade truly shines in spring and summer, especially during the day. It’s ideal for outdoor gatherings, vacations, walks in the sun, brunches, or even just running errands when you want to smell fresh and expensive without being overwhelming. At the same time, it can work in more relaxed office environments because it stays relatively polite and never turns into a thick, heavy cloud. If you enjoy the DNA of popular fresh-fruity masculines but wish for something more nuanced, greener, and more niche-feeling, this is an outstanding option. Overall, Mind Games Blockade is easily a 10/10 fragrance for me. It captures everything I want in a warm-weather scent: a stunning and addictive mango-led profile, a touch of greenery and sophistication, and a beautifully blended composition that feels both exciting and easy to wear. Even if it doesn’t perform like a monster on every skin type, the sheer quality and enjoyment of the scent make that a minor issue in my eyes. For summer, it has become my number one choice — my new favorite fragrance of the season, and one I recommend without hesitation. If you love vibrant, tropical-leaning scents that still feel refined and modern, Blockade absolutely deserves a place on your radar. For me, it’s not just good; it’s special. And that’s why, despite any debates about performance, I stand by my rating: 10 out of 10.

TLDR: Masterclass of a warm-to-hot weather scent. Average longevity demands a $200 price max, and just too hard to recommend at MSRP - One of my favorite scents. Just honestly brings a smile to my face every time I get a whiff of it. - With a touch of overspraying, it definitely lasts through most of the workday. - Very light scent trail, and has good office-level projection indoors. It does receive a slight boost in hot environments, but not to the point of being cloying. THIS IS NOT AN AVENTUS CLONE/DUPE. I understand the notes are similar, but the results differ very much. Cake and bagels have similar ingredients, but very different tastes. This is much more lively/fresh and is one step towards manly from unisex, and I find Aventus to still be bright, but much more manly and "smoky". But they are still cousins. In fact, Aventus may be its cousin, but its best friend would be Virgin Island Water by Creed, as they share the same kind of vibrancy and feel to me. Without looking at the fragrance notes, here's my take. Opening is very reminiscent of a Pineapple Jarritos, though lifted quality. Rather than a sugary soda, there's juicy real fruit. 40% pineapple, 20% mango, and a mix of other warm-weather fruits to fill the rest. Maybe just a touch of pomegranate as well? Note, it's sweet, but not bubblegum sweet. Again, it's realistic fruit that has been sweetened, not fake fruit, if that makes sense. Drying down on my skin, there is two currents of scents swirling together. One side is the opening that starts leaning more towards actual fruit with some of the sweetness drifting away. Now you also have another profile of "green". It's a leafy note but in a light way. The first thing that comes to mind is walking into the outdoor garden section at Home Depot on a humid day, just take away any floral notes and isolate the smell of green leaf on the air. Backing the leaf is just a touch of a light oud/incense/pepper note (this is extremely light). NOW have those two profiles swirling together, sometimes one shining over the other, sometimes becoming one before rushing in different directions once again. It keeps my nose excited all day, which is really nice. I'm in love with it. Truly. I like that it projects enough that people can tell I smell good in conversations, without turning me into the walking fumigation that we have all worked with (I'm talking to you 45 year old man that sprays sauvage 5/6 times before you walk in the door). Even with all these positive elements, I couldn't realistically recommend a purchase to anyone. To achieve average longevity and the right amount of projection, I spray under the ear on either side twice, the back of my neck once, and the inside of my elbow twice. (I find spraying it on clothing for longevity doesn't help, as I think it needs heat to have any projection whatsoever.) For reference, I spray Sospiro Vibratro once to either side of the neck, and a half-spray to either elbow. Burning through that many sprays for average performance isn't acceptable at nearly $400 USD for 100 mills. Wearing it every day, you would be lucky to have a bottle last a whole warm season. If you can find it for around half off, I would consider it. Or if they ever improve the performance. HOWEVER I WILL CONTINUE TO NOT FOLLOW MY OWN ADVICE BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO DEARLY, HA.

PREFACE: I'm going to preface this review by saying, I LOVE the Aventus DNA but I do NOT like Aventus or Aventus cologne (only Aventus I like is Absolu). I just can't stand that weird middle section that smells like lemon pledge. This fragrance takes that Aventus DNA and gets rid of that weird middle section that smells like wood cleaner to me. It's my undisputed favorite interpretation of the DNA, and I will be buying this until they stop making it. REVIEW: I first tried this fragrance at Saks; the SA had sprayed a fragrance on either hand without showing me and then had me try the two. On one hand was Creed Aventus and on the other was this. He asked me to blindly tell him which I prefer, and I picked this one. It smelled fruiter and the woody notes were more subtle. I was instantly a fan because despite being in love with the Aventus DNA I just couldn't bring myself to like any frag in the lineup other than Absolu. I immediately bought a bottle, and I still adore this fragrance. I sold/gave away my other fruity fragrances when downsizing my collection because I still think this is the king of modern summer masculine fragrances. This is the only fragrance I own that I've had people ask me what specifically I was wearing instead of just complimenting the scent. DISLIKES: If you can get it for less than retail, get it and you won't be disappointed. This is unfortunately rather overpriced in my opinion at $400 USD MSRP and it's the only thing I can think to complain about. SCORES: Price: 3/10 It could be worse (creed still thinks Green Irish Tweed is worth $500), but it's BAD. Get it from a discounter if you're able, MSRP is comical. Projection: 6/10 On my skin a solid 2ft in the beginning settling down to 1ft in the middle. Longevity: 7.5/10 4-8 hours entirely depending on temperature. I live in Texas so it usually only projects for a few hours in the heat, but if you're in more moderate temperature (°60F-°80F) it'll last all day. Overall scent: 10/10 Still my favorite fruity fragrance of all time. Worth what I paid, and don't doubt that I will buy it again.

Blockade kicks off like it just landed in Miami with a carry-on full of tropical fruit and an expensive watch. The opening is bright, juicy, and undeniably fruity - but somehow still very masculine. Think mango in a tailored blazer. It smells fantastic right out of the gate and immediately makes you lean in for a second sniff like, “Wait... what is that?” As it dries down, it sobers up a bit - in a good way. The fruit sticks around, but now it’s cleaner, sharper, and more traditionally masculine. The mango never goes full smoothie mode; it’s balanced beautifully by bergamot and a pop of pink pepper that keeps everything crisp and confident. It stays bright and tropical the whole time, but with enough edge that it doesn’t feel playful or juvenile. Truly unique - I can honestly say I’ve never smelled anything quite like it. This would absolutely shine in spring or summer. Easy enough for everyday wear, but also polished enough for a daytime date where you want to smell memorable without shouting. Longevity on my skin was about 5–6 hours with decent projection - not bad, but not exactly luxury-tier either. And that’s where the heartbreak comes in. For the price, I expected this thing to perform. Instead, it politely shows up, smells amazing, and leaves before dessert. It’s marketed as unisex, but on my skin - especially in the dry down - it leans firmly masculine. Bottom line: I love the scent. Like, really love it. But at that price point, I’m not committing to a full bottle. I’ll be out here sniffing my wrist and hoping someone releases a near-identical twin for half the cost.

Try this on a 2 ml decant.....and boys and girls, this is fireeeee. A frutier, yet tropical take on Hacivat "Aventus DNA". If you like Hacivat and Intense CedratBoise, you will love this. I encourage you too at least sample it. For now, i will get a bigger decant. This is way expensive for me for now. I would prefer this over Hacivat, even though Hacivat is a Bomb. There are not the same, but for my nose is a bit redundant to have a full bottle of both since i am just a beginner. Last on me, a good 10 hours. You deffently get that mango vibe since the oppening, it dosent last all day, but for the first couple of hours it will be there. Girls do like this DNA. I received 2 complimets the first day i wore it. On the second day, a friend told me that the bag i gave her have, had the perfume on it and she loved it, and 1 of my colleagues told me that i left the scent on her desk, on a good way of course. This is super versatile all year around. Instead of buying a couple of perfumes for $50 and $60 each, i will save it and get this. It's so well blended that you won't even get the oud to be that strong. Again, this is fireeeeee
