Shamrock

One of my favourite citrus scents. Full-bodied, unique, great scent bubble and longevity (8+hrs skin, 72+hrs clothing..and counting). Upon first spray, it is a bright, realistic citrus mix, but with a good weight and solidity. Fresh and a bit green, with a touch of honey sweetness. No synthetic honey here (I'm thinking Ellis Brooklyn Bee, with its honey + rum), just a warm amber wildflower honey, hint of florals included. The honey note here smells like the texture of honey with a bit of the sugary crystalized bits. Realistic oily citrus, as if you had squeezed the peel. I'm not getting a straight or definitive lemon, lime, or orange--it feels like a blend. Perhaps including some variants like mandarin or meyer as well. I can't say much about the whiskey note, but this scent has never expressed as boozy on my skin. If I had to say, perhaps it lends some wet and warm wood whispers, alongside the sandalwood and vanilla. Or perhaps it sits alongside and tempers the top notes of the honey, bringing it a step deeper. Something with the jasmine and honey combo brings a tiny bit of an animalic hint to this. Not on every wear, and only if I'm paying closer attention. I wonder how this composition would have done if it were taken into a sexier direction. 5+ hours into the drydown, I get either one of two variations. 1) Beautiful musk, reminiscent of Narciso; 2) play-doh with a touch of musk. I haven't exactly pinpointed what factors determine the trajectory. Cold is my best guess, with colder weather (subzero) bringing out the musk. Another one of this house's compositions, Narghile, has a similar effect with the drydown base (with musk being prominent more often). There is definitely a solid backbone to this and the composition feels very full (hits all layers of smell at once at times). It's not something I can wear everyday or very easily, but I wish I could. Works really well on my fiance too (very unisex!). Though we oddly have similar skin chemistry, the citrus stands out more and projects on him massively (fills his studio when he wears it). This scent feels confident, calm, satisfied, but open. If it were flirting with you, which it could, it would be fun in earnest, with palpable consequence.

On me it's mostly this really subtle and less-than-sweet honey comb smell. Develops right into sandalwood after a few hours. I don't get much of any kind of citrus at all. at least on my skin. You'd think from the name it'd be something more green, but it isn't at all. That being said, I think it works nicely in spring as well as the colder months.

Nice boozy smell with some citrusy hints and slight sweetness. Very balanced and different. A bit reminds me of baraonda especially after 30min on skin. Actually really unisex which feels weird that it’s masculine on me but very feminine on my wife. We could both use it with a different outcome. I actually really like it.

This is a gorgeous and unique "green-amber" scent! The blend is seamless and great quality- I was surprised to see that no green notes are listed given its name and opening, but maybe that's just a testament to the quality of the craft. I was a little disappointed with the dry-down as the "greener" aspects do fade and you're mostly left with the vanilla after around 3 hours. I wish it read green all the way down to the base! That being said, it's a gorgeous niche blend with decent performance and I'm yet to come across anything of this quality that smells similar. 8/10, would be higher if the "green" opening translated after a few hours.
