I had to try it. The earthy accords called to me. The fact that it's a women's chypre that has people hinting at a 70s or 80s vibe. I love it, but I can't wear it. Most classic and classically-referential feminine chypres seem to symbiotically cleave to the chemistry of the wearer, making either gender fit it well. And this does feel classic. There's an invocation of Mitsouko, as well as something so specifically 1988 and 89 that it immediately transports me to the times I started first very seriously and consciously noticing women. Six-year-old me noticing my first panga of identifiable lust at women on billboards and the Robert Palmer female backup band in Pepsi commercials. It specifically reminds me of the shampoo smell I'd get when a hot teacher or an attractive colleague at my dad's job would stoop to talk to me. The Tokyo designation is pretty appropriate too, as the shampoo essence doesn't only bring the image of hair to mind, but specifically pin-straight, black hair. It smells like a sexy eighties gal and every woman should try it. I want to smell this on my girl and I know I'll be addicted to the experience. Not just because the formative nostalgia. It's just good. Great even.

I must be aging because I can finally appreciate this one, and I'm glad I can. It's elegant and classy like a mature woman who knows what she wants and if you try to stand in her way, it's one distinguished look from her and you're well on your way. Very steady, stable scent, like others have said it's a classic chypre/rose fragrance. It doesn't develop much on me, which isn't bad at all because I like it the way it is. Ridiculously cheap price on something that smells quite refined.

It's a Paloma Picasso/Christian La Croix Rouge kind of thing - chypre/rose with some animalic background - timeless scent with great longevity at a ridiculous price! If you want to go back to snowy, winter evenings by the candle lights in mid eighties - go for this one!

Imagine it's the 70s or 80s you are senior at East European country. You smoke some Kent cigarettes and after you sneaky smoke that cigarettes you apply this perfume before going to the halls and meeting your crush. You have just As and your family it's middle class a bit over it actually. It's the vibe of clean girl, just As from the 70s. I imagine she's wearing white shirt and a black skirt as a uniform. It's that vibe. But I can't wear it. It's just too nauseous for me . Great if you want to do a throwback and imagine what was back in the days but completely unwearable for me.

A really heavy, musky scent. It smells most like those anti-clothing moth balls that you put inside your dresser. Good for older women.

I must admit, that when I first purchased it years ago I thought meh, but now, wow! Classy chypre rose creation! Full bodied and addictive. In the beginning it smells like rose scented incense sticks, then it starts dripping honey and unveil flowers and spices. Truly great bargain baby.
