Muguet

I have really learned so much about perfume on this site, and I bought this in the new bottle version that just says Muguet. I love it. It doesn't last very long on me, maybe four hours, but nothing lasts very long on me! Anyone who loves Lily of the valley should try this. It is a really excellent solifiore. The price was great. I got it on Fragrancenet for $22. I was so pleased with this Molinard that I also tried the Nirmala EDP, which is complex and wonderful and does last longer that four hours!

Beautiful fragrance for lily of the valley lovers like me. If you like Diorissimo, you will certainly appreciate Muguet.

Molinard Muguet - blue bottle formula here depicted - has nothing to do with Diorissimo as I have read here, beside containing lily of the valley of course. In the latter the lily of the valley is of higher quality and more prominent a note. Said this, Muguet is a gentle perfumed "water" - it hasn't got a cologne power as in concentration of the essential oils. It sits light on the skin, rather tight to be honest and longevity is a plus. If you are looking for a light fragrance to wear in spring and summer days, this will definitely cheer your nostrils up. Very pleased, despite the weakness in essence concentration.

Molinard's Muguet smells a lot like Coty's muguet (which Roudinetska, Diorissimo's designer, said was the truest lily of the valley scent). Given what Roudinetska said, I bought Coty--and Molinard after that. If Coty is the truest muguet and if Molinard smells very much like Coty, then they are both true lily of the valley scents. And I like them both, but to me neither of them smells a bit like Diorissimo. To me, the Molinard Muget is sort of subdued, sweet, and almost powdery. Diorissimo, on the other hand, is tangy-sweet and not subdued. I do like the Monlinard and Coty muguets, but I like Diorissimo much better.

In addition to lily of the valley, I get a lot of rosewater. This is fine as rosewater is a very nostalgic scent for me. I am generally not a fan of soapy fragrances, but this smells like the prettiest soap ever. A bit old fashioned, but I think it adds to the overall appeal to Muguet. This is not a lily of the valley along the lines of Jessica McClintock. It is much fresher, softer and not as "thick" smelling.

I love lily of the valley, and this is a really good version of it. It's soft but has amazing longevity, it's been over 8 hours since I sprayed it on and I'm still smelling it, though it's turned a bit more 'rosy' now. I have 7 varieties of lily of the valley, two of which I blended myself, and this is one of the best. It comes in a lovely cobalt blue bottle too!

Spritz this on and hold your breath for about 5 minutes till the kerosene smell goes away. Now sniff. Beautiful, warm, buttery, deep, true lily of the valley! On me it lasts about 5 hours and has great sillage. If you love lily of the valley, you need this one.
