Rose Turkia

Lush, beautiful sweet rose. Warm, grown up feminine. Even a bit granny-ish, but certainly in a good way. For a woman who is sweet, soft, but also has character (those woods and peppers!), she knows her value, she doesn't have to prove anything, it's that confident and especially calm feminine scent. A true Turkish rose. Alluring smell experience. Love the bottle, dusty pink shade, ombre coloring. Looks modern, luxurious at the same time -well it's from their les elements prestige line. And once again I will repeat what I wrote in other Molinard review:I appreciate Molinard for still staying family business since early 1849 in Grasse. For their product quality that doesn't shout with marketing, superstars in campaigns and so on. The product speaks for itself. Edit:after owning this wonderful fragrance for a year, I'm happy to say it still surprises me. Simple composition, work all year round. In spring and summer spices are more soft, muted, honeyed rose is the main figure here. In autumn and winter spices become more prominent, perfume becomes spicy rose, just as one would want in colder time. Wonderful !

Fresh, soapy but realistic rose with an hint of turkish delight in it. I love it in the evening, after the shower, for the feeling of comfort it gives me in the last hours of the day... Beautiful if layered with Ambré Lumière. On my good old beloved Habanita too.... Old fashioned? Dated? Well made, well blended, this is how I expect and appreciate luxury in 2017, far away from the crowd and the mass of tourists in GL in Paris' Bld Haussmann... ;-) Definitely a feel good fragrance. La première impression est saisissante, c'est une rose réaliste, assez fraîche, dans toute sa splendeur. On aurait même l'impression que la rosée est encore sur les fleurs, de rosiers anciens, posées sur la table de salon d'une personne "mûre" (sans connotation négative). Ensuite, c'est le géranium qui fleurit, tel une rose plus rose que nature, mais qui aurait croqué dans un loukoum. Il y a un petit twist gourmand. Pour moi, c'est un contre-emploi absolu. Je suis barbu, carré d'épaules et très loin de la mamie anglaise. Mais je trouve à Rose Turkia un charme désuet, qui me fait chavirer et je l'aime lové dans mon cou, le soir, tout contre ce barbare d'Ambré Lumière... C'est un duo qui s'accorde comme un couple d'amants bien assortis.

lush, fresh, red roses in full bloom, in the flesh...after a while some supportive notes also appear, slightly taming the roses, however, Rosa Turkia is still dominantly about rose, I'd say cca 80% roses with some honey and spices. So even at this later stage I'd still consider this a soliflore. the sillage and intial blast calms down by the hour mark but the frag is noticeably there after that. Another good one from Molinard, solid offering. I considered buying this one blind a while ago as it was on massive sale and now I'm OK that I did not. It is a nice interpretation of red roses (and brownie points for not smelling like rose water) and quality oils. I'd probably use up a bottle but owning quite a few larger than life rose frags I do not feel the urgency at the moment. One thing for sure, this will be appreciated by any rose lover and personally find it more natural than Sa Majeste de la Rose :)

This is essentially a watered down Highness Rose—It's really almost identical—less sharp & vibrant with less than half the lasting power, which is reflected by the price. Don't get me wrong; I love that fragrance (and consequently this one too), but Rose Turkia gets too weak after merely an hour.

A very synthetic opening. On me this comes across as a watery rose, but there is something in the background that gives a slight permanent marker smell. This is a pass.
