Tubéreuse Vertigineuse

I have several Molinard perfumes: Habanita, Ambre Lumiere, Chypre Charnel, Nirmala and La Rive Nirmala. I've tested several others and - so far - my experience with Molinard perfumes has been positive. So, naturally, I didn't test Tubereuse Vertigineuse (translation: Breakneck Tuberose. No, I don't "get it" either) before swapping with Cinnakitty for a part-used bottle. It arrived this afternoon, and I unwrapped it with some trepidation, noting that I could smell it before opening the box! I sprayed once to the back of my right hand and resolved to let it dry down properly before even sniffing; this was impossible though, as Molinard's Tubéreuse Vertigineuse insists on being heard. You simply can't avoid it. This has huge sillage from the outset and - had I sprayed in my usual wild manner, I probably would have asphyxiated the entire household. I instantly loved it, and my love grew the longer I wore it. On my skin, tuberose is punchy and in your face from the outset; it is gorgeous, rich and classy. Coconut is there too, but it's not a sweetened, dessert coconut and adds a creamy texture to the scent. On drydown, the woods start to come into play, but I have to sniff with my nose close to my skin to pick them up, sandalwood being dominant. TV is sweet, but it seems natural, coming from the flowers rather than being artificially added. I honestly cannot smell any flowers, other than tuberose (rose being consistently MIA from the outset) and would suggest that peach (rather than peach blossom) is present. Sillage is dependent on the amount you spray, but is heavy and could easily tip into enormous if you are trigger happy. Longevity is very good, even on my dry perfume-gobbling skin; I suspect TV will last for days on clothing. Definitely not a safe blind buy unless you are a real tuberose fan. It is not office friendly either, unless you are prepared to go very easy on the trigger, as TV could easily be too much, particularly for colleagues who are sensitive to smells. To summarise: A seemingly underrated perfume, definitely one to try if you love tuberose.

Comparing to Aerin Lauder "Palm Hibiscus", Molinard really blew my socks off, i thought Palm Hibiscus is the one, but longevity and sillage wise, Molinard beats Aerin easily. My review about Aerin Palm Hibiscus years ago: This fragrance threw me back to my childhood memory when i live in Java, Indonesia. This is the smell of JAVANESE WEDDING Ceremony, it takes 2 days to complete the ceremony. Checkout on youtube. The first day, is showering the bride and groom to be with water from 7 sources consist of 7 different flowers (Setaman flowers). Each has a certain meaning for the ceremony. 1.Sedap malam=night tuberose /polianthes tuberosa (lit. flower that smells good in the night, because it bloom at night and you can smell it the strongest in the night, truely is a "queen of the night") 2.Kenanga = Cananga/ylang ylang 3.Kantil = White Champaka 4.Melati Gambir = Jasmin (jasminum pubescens/officinale) 5.Melati= Jasmin Sambac 6.Mawar Merah = Red Rose 7.Mawar Putih = White Rose On the wedding day, the bride hairdo will be done with a lei of a fresh jasmine. Also the groom has a lei of jasmin on his neck. The bridal room (for honeymoon) is decorated with abundance amount of flowers (Tuberose, Jasmin and Rose) Not only the couple but the whole house/rooms smell so divine!! Together with the wedding costume, the music of "Gamelan" and the wedding rituals itself makes the whole ceremony so sacret, mystical and magical. I live in The Netherlands, everytime i visited my family in Java, my mom put a bunch of tuberose in my rooms & jasmin on my bed. I love the smell of my room. I am wearing a sample/tester at the moment and everytime i smell it, i get really homesick and i miss my family. Tuberose on this one is so pure. I don't smell any other notes but Tuberose.Although,it is not specified in the notes list above. I am 100%sure it is the white flower. Sillage :Enormous tuberose ( 9/10) Longevity: Beasty - long lasting (12 hrs+) Overall: 10/10 This is so far the best scent of Tuberose and on top of my fragrance list. Very well done Aerin Lauder! I blind bought it based on your recommendations and I am so in love i'm telling you🤩. The first spray was hit in the face, so unusual, it literally made me dizzy I needed to go for a sleep. Quite an experience, my brain needed to get used to it. But since I woke up I just can't get enough of this and fortunately I don't have tuberose hangover😄. Creamy powdery dense tuberose that makes my mouth water. I don't really get peach or coconut, maybe in the background somewhere along with the cedar in the drydown. It works for me, sooo good, I imagined it just like as it is. No sweetness at all, just rich creamyness and I definitely wanna smell like this. I tried layering it with Narciso poudree lotion, and it is oohhh divine. I'm very happy and totally recommend. Update - after 3 days of full wear, I can totally detect the coconut now. It is well blended with the creamy aspect of the tuberose and it was hard to tell apart, bit now I got it. This is why it is so delicious. Update2 - it became my second signature through the months and I'm really digging it. The more I wear the more coconutty it feels. I thought it will be better when colder weather comes, but it was surely more appropriate in the warmer months and can't wait to wear it in the summer heat and choke some people out haha. It is so dense and so alluring, I find it quite erotic with its rich aroma. So much so that I sometimes miss some airiness and then I layer it. Very unique composition smells so beautifully natural and not too complex. It is bold indeed and the quality is outstanding. I can smell this baby the whole day, and it stays in my hair for days.

After debating for a while, I pulled the trigger and ordered this. This is my 4th Molinard - a house I am enjoying getting to know! She arrived today, and I gave her a go. My first impression was big, bold, tenacious tuberose - befitting the name. At this point (about 30 minutes after spraying), she is a true green tuberose. I tend to prefer creamier tuberose, and at this phase she reminds me of Fleur de Rocaille (not vintage FleurS, FYI), though less aggressively green. Given the presence of coconut, I anticipate the small amount of sharpness to round out as she moves into the middle phase and into the dry down. She really is a gorgeous beast, and if you're taste in tuberose runs more towards green freshness, I would recommend her wholeheartedly. I will update if necessary. At this point, she is a definite, enthusiastic Like. I am becoming a bit more discriminating when it comes to doling out Loves, so keep that in mind. As for my new love affair with Molinard, I am already wondering what to try next!! Edit: Two things I've learned in the past 24 hours. The first is how amazingly long lasting this is, something rare for me to find these days as my skin eats perfume right up. I can still smell it on my clothes. The sillage is impressive as well, though beware - over spraying is definitely the kiss of death. Secondly, the green aspect never really goes away. It's still beautiful, and I will still wear this, but it's never going to be THE tuberose for me, which is fine because I get to continue searching. This is not for the faint of heart or for someone who doesn't want to be noticed. Good job, Molinard!

I feel like Molinard is a very underrated niche house these days . Saying that because I don’t hear anybody talking about it. Tubereuse Vertigineuse is my only perfume from Molinard and it’s an absolute stunning creation! That if you love sweet, warm, creamy almost buttery, ambery tubereuse. If not, stay away! This fragrance has an outstanding smell, quality of ingredients and its priced very low. I own several tubereuse centred fragrances, from designer and niche houses, and this is one of the strongest performing out of all of them and the cheapest! So, if you’re on market for a heavenly smelling tubereuse scent, and you also like rose, jasmine (quite preeminent here), with a sweet, ambery, woody base, look no further. To make this even better it has a slightly tropical undertone, maybe created by the coconut blossoms?!? This is the best affordable tubereuse I’ve come across so far... I should get a backup bottle until it gets discontinued, like it happened with other amazing scents I loved in the past, because this smells phenomenal! The packaging is not five stars, it’s really plain and simple, dark purple cardboard box and bottle, but it is what’s inside that matters the most! This smells like it could cost five times more. I would have to keep a close eye on Molinard, they might have some other hidden gems in their catalog...

After carefully reading all reviews, I decided to give a try to what many have considered a beauty. While I cannot disagree with such statement, I have nonetheless to disagree with much that has been said previously. I wore the fragrance about 1 and 1/2 hour ago. The first spritz is a full blast of greenish tuberose, which reminded me immediately of my wedding fragrance (Gucci Bloom). It can't be said this is a creamy tuberose; on the contrary, its lovely, green, waxy nature - not at all indolic - it's here endorsed by a crisp, vibrant jasmine. The creaminess some experience is the waxy quality of the tuberose; it can remind of body cream, such as nivea. All in all, this is a fantastic tuberose if you like the green notes which fresh tuberose flowers radiate when yet attached to the stem. No signs of coconut, or any of the woods listed in the notes here. Just a faint trace of musk - ghostly! - and perhaps a hint of peach peel (though very, very weak). For those of you looking for a really creamy tuberose (which emanates when flowers go indolic), try L'interdit by Givenchy. Though the first spritz will blast up your nostrils a strong, "douce amere" candy-like scent, the drydown will reveal to you the creamiest, tenderer tuberose I have found up until now. Said this, I absolutely LOVE this fragrance! Most suited for colder seasons.

VERTIGO. Okay, the first sprays have been...well, an experience. Starts off with a fizzy "clean" tuberose with some creaminess, but this keeps building, first with powdery facets of tuberose, then with coconut, then with dry woods, then creamy woods, then dry woods again...Quickly spinning out of control until you can't tell what you're smelling - is that sawdust?...but your eyes are burning and you need to wash it off before you go blind, fast. Twice. And that was one spray to the back of the hand. You fumble blindly for a towel and gently pat your eyes. Many people love this, so I will try again and give this another chance, but not today. Is this what they mean by "Vertigineuse?"... Update 02/28/24: I came back to this after awhile, and it's beautiful. The powderiness has settled, although it's still powdery in a good way, and I can pick up the tuberose, peach-blossom & coconut-blossom more clearly now. The base of amberwood/ambroxan is quite strong also, which underneath gives it a near-sootiness & darkness, and helps performance. This is quickly becoming a favourite. Update 02/03/25: Sprayed this one again today, and it's lovely. A direct sniff will burn the nostrils though due to the tuberose absolute. But in the air, it has some freshness, milkiness, and a rich drydown. Gorgeous sillage, but don't get to close. Love it.

I've had this for a few years now. I purchased in the beginning stages of my perfume obsession, after I discovered the Molinard had more to offer than just Habanita! I love white florals, and tuberose is no exception. At the time, I was surprised and a bit disappointed by what seemed like a sharp green opening. I had yet to really get to know tuberose in all it's facets. My husband really liked it though, so I would occasionally spritz some on. Since that time, I have really grown in my ability to identify notes and appreciate the artistry involved. My collection grew exponentially as well, and while I started to really like this, it sort of went to the back of my mind as I tried and purchased so many more perfumes. I thought about it today and just put it on. What a revelation!! As much as this is about tuberose, I can pick out the underlying peach and coconut and I am in love!! The opening reminds me somewhat of Carnal Flower, but with all due respect to Dominique Ropion and Frederic Malle, I love this even more! I've been trying to figure out what perfume I want to wear to a wedding I'm attending next month. Tubereuse Vertigineuse is now a strong contender. I'm experiencing the same excitement and enthusiasm I have when I purchase a new bottle of perfume and fall in love!

I made a mistake and blind ordered 2 bottles instead of one, and guess what ? I'm glad this happened ! Indeed, here we have a wonderful tuberose as can be expected from a great house like Molinard. BTW they replaced the mesh spray atomizer by a normal sprayer which is simply screwed, a much better solution, and I'll see if refill is available in the Grasse museum-boutique or the Nice or Paris boutiques. Here we have a superb creamy tuberose, underlined by the woody notes, a bit softer than DR's Carnal Flowers, stronger than La Vie est Belle EDP Intense, purer than Diptyques Do Son EDP or EDT. Actually Molinard's tuberose is quite close to the reference frag "Fracas" from Robert Piguet, but doesn't reach the heavenly level of Fracas, as like Ropion, Molinard couldn't refrain from adding some coconut, fortunately very discrete but still there at least during the opening, while Piguet's opening is greener and therefore in better control of the tuberose. This is just a minor detail, so if you look for an affordable but truly outstanding tuberose (I'd rank it #2 or 3 of all my tuberose frags), the Molinard version is perfect. Longevity is 10-12 hours, and the scent remains on my clothes for several days, like Carnal Flowers

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a beast performance tuberose. The flower itself has a very thick creamy, almost "full fat smell". Here it is doubled and reinforced with a fatty coconut note. I don't sense any green notes here at all, someone mentioned dill, but this is probably a sandalwood base saying "hi". I love it, although one should approach it with caution. It can make your head spin if you apply too much ( I guess the name sort of warns about it), and did I mention that she has a nuclear diffusion, sillage, and performance? For me the best time to wear it was summer - on hot skin, it smells divine. However, if you are looking for a versatile scent that is versatile, that is and good for any time of day, season, and occasion may be Tubéreuse Vertigineuse is your girl. Oh and if you love loud tuberoses. A delicate base of cedar and sandalwood is not as prominent, the scent is tuberose-heavy throughout the whole wear. I try to wear it when I'm out and about. I can also confirm that there is some likeness with Narcotic V except for those metallic-y notes.

Wow, it’s my new signature for year around ... I had an olfactory dream of wearing a beautiful white floral & coconut perfume which made me really happy. & after doing a few days research, I came across this. & THIS. IS. IT. .... I get the creamy tuberose / white floral without it being sickly sweet. I get the natural coconut which adds creaminess. I get the woody Amber base which is also great on cold, dark days. Gorgeous woody Amber oriental floral with the most unique addition of exotic coconut that I had to have. Not too heavy, but one spray might be enough. Not too sweet. Just right. Sexy, feminine & pretty, not too innocent. I think good for women 25+ mature but not old lady, like a mysterious woman ... It’s old school in the right way, almost any age can wear it for any occasion, leans slightly mature ... I hope to get married in it some day ... Exquisite bridal perfume ... I’m just in love with this. Get it! Go!

I was wanting a good tuberose fragrance and this exceeded my expectations! Molinard never disappoints. I can detect the other notes but they play a supporting role to the tuberose, which is pretty strong. I’d wear this year-round but to me the feel of it isn’t very wintery. But this is because I get something a little tropical, probably from the coconut blossom. It’s a little green, a little laconic, and the amber and sandalwood in the base grounds the whole thing. It is luscious and blended well in my opinion! I’m enjoying it now on February but I really look forward to wearing it as it gets warmer where I am. It is still rich and creamy enough to withstand the cold, but I think it will really shine on warm skin, personally. Might need to go easier on the sprays in the summer.

I came across Molinard brand by accident, i was trying to find a replacement for Franck Boclet Cocaine because i regretted that i didn't buy it when i was in Prague (I have it now). While Boclet's Cocaine is very different than Molinard's Tubereuse Vertigineuse, both are magnificent tuberose fragrances (different approach than Carnal Flower). The main notes that I detect is Tuberose, with jasmine giving indolic aspect, and always stands side by side with the tuberose. I fail to detect the coconut here, but the sandalwood is there in the background. The performance is solid 10 hours, with moderate to heavy projection, which is a very good deal for the asking price. Molinard really creates good stuffs, I hope this brand gains more recognition.

I must admit that this tuberose is really brilliant. It does not manage to surpass my favorite tuberose of all time (Tubereuse 3 Animale by Histoires de Parfums) but it gets close while being completely different. Of course the tuberose note is absolutely huge, as always... but here it's so very fresh and exotic, through the genius addition of coconut, What a smart idea, to put some coconut here! It gives an exotic touch without getting heavy or spicy. I also perceive lots of jasmine, that add a layer of sweetness without even a hint of soap (which is great, IMHO). And when the coconut ends the perfume becomes tinted with wood notes: sandalwood and cedar. The scent is incredibly pretty, strong, summery. Simply perfect. Really well done.

I like the tuberose note but I can easily find it too much. This really works for me as it's lightly diffused by the creamy coconut and sandalwood. These three notes are perfectly balanced. It is not very sweet and I don't get suntan lotion either. The peach blossom is quite evident and lifts everything but the orange blossom has probably been overwhelmed. The resins are relatively low key and the musk adds almost a creaminess. Further along the timeline and the coconut nearly vanishes. For the rest of the timeline it's a tuberose, wood and musk scent. Very grown up and sophisticated. It has good sillage and above average longevity. Another classy winner from Molinard. I think I will wear this at summer bbqs etc.

One of the better tuberose-centric perfumes out there. Molinard is such a quality house, even though I don't like the fact that they don't say who the Nose is. From official website: Top: Peach skin, Coconut flowers Heart: Tuberose, Jasmine, Rose Base: White musk, Sandalwood, Amberwood One of the best performers also. The way I perceive its initial phase is Tuberose-Peach-Jasmine (yes, coconut is there too), and this phase stays for 8 hours plus. Only then does it shift to drydown, which is a lovely musk-amber accord, with the tuberose and jasmine still at play. Overall I get 10 hours plus on skin. Impressive.

The blackest sweet tuberouse I had the pleasure to wear. It's dense and floral at first, with the characteristic bubblegummy joyous aspect. 10 minutes in, and it drips ambery honey as if laid on an altar and lit aflame. Must be the spectacular base of amberwood, cedar mix, with sandalwood sour tinge. Whether I feel more flowers is impossible to tell withing first half an hour. But it's perfect as it is. No wonder it has Les Prestige label. Around 1 hour in, and the floral notes start to have gourmand edge. Coconut, peach? Possible.

This and Carnal Flower are the only tuberose perfumes I love. I'm sure both of them contain real tuberose and not just syntetics like all mainstream perfumes. I prefer Carnal Flower because it's lighter and green while Molinard is heavier and more woody but the price of CF is ridiculous. I hate mainstream tuberose heavy perfumes as they give me a headache and with Molinard I don't have this issue though I still need to have a proper mood for it. This is definitely not for everybody. The parameters are great.

This is beautiful! I'll keep it short, if you like a tropical, sultry tuberose that's not too OTT, this stuff is for you. As always with Molinard, the quality is outstanding and it lasts for a good 7-8 hours. Sillage is pretty big - you will be smelled. I think it's probably best for autumn nights but honestly, it's actually not too overbearing for cooler nights in the summer too. Lovely, elegant tuberose scent. Thumbs up!

If you are a tuberose lover, the "bubblegum-ey tuberose" lover shall I say, then get your hands on this perfume asap. It's a gem! A creamy tuberose with gardenia, ylang-ylang + a salty coconut. It's a 😍 Mother of tuberose, this is strong It opens up a bit like Gucci Bloom but way stronger, I'm getting a hint of Velvet Vanilla by Mancera, because to my nose I'm smelling banana 🍌, so there's definitely something fruity Oh snap I'm definitely getting the coconut 🥥, it's more like coconut oil scent. 💗💗💗💗💗💗

I blind bought this sucka and can someone say "holy frank and beans Batman"!!! lol This is the Tuberose I've been searching for. Strong, creamy, feminine, no spice. It is just perfect. def reads as a soliflore which is perfectly what I wanted. If you are a tuberose lover like me, blind buy it, I dare you :)

Imagine getting smacked in the face by a bouquet of tuberoses, but in the most artistic way. It is shocking but poised. It is uninhibited but well-balanced. A truly fitting name of a fragrance. As a white floral lover, this speaks my language!

Extremely nice scent for warmer times. Reminds me of Montale Tiare Intense, with a very possitive BUT: Molinard made it much more milkier and greener less sweet therefore made me fell in love with. Longevity amd silage are above average.

Best creamy tuberose coconut combo ever! Still light and airy, suitable for ever season and occasion. Scent of inner peace..

This will outperform Diptyque's 'Do Son', Gucci's 'Bloom', or Nishane's 'Tuberoza' for a fraction of the price.

First Impression: I really, really like this! A beautiful coconut white floral, creamy and nutty with just the right amount of sweetness and freshness. Not too summery, gorgeously balanced. Need to wear it out to give a more in-depth review, but based on first impression alone it's really promising! Reminds me of this Love, Beauty, and Planet "Coconut Milk and White Jasmine" shampoo I used to have and really loved. Full(er) Review: This is so very lovely. It's definitely different, a little scary for a girl who mostly wears generic gourmands and fruity-florals...but my gosh, it is utterly intoxicating. Addictive, alluring, narcotic. A creamy, slightly green, fresh tuberose. Gently sweet, like a real flower would be. (Not quite as coconut-y as I originally described it—I think the smell of tuberose just really reminds me of the smell of coconut in general lol. But it definitely has this slightly fruity nuance that glimmers in and out, weaving through the notes and occasionally peeking its head out.) It feels ageless, timeless even. Very feminine, but in an ethereal, slightly mysterious way. It has this quality of coldness that I love. It's not exactly freshness per say, but a chilly airiness, something I always find so very enchanting in a fragrance. Longevity on seems very good, although weirdly enough, it sort of disappears on my clothing. It lasts on my skin quite well though, which is weird, but I'm also not complaining. Of course, I think I've gone a little anosmic to it, as I do with almost everything lol, so I'm probably not the best judge of longevity and silage. But I will say, when I first spray it in the morning and walk into class, I feel like I'm wearing a gigantic, fresh bunch of tuberoses in my hair. Divine projection, though I pity anyone who sits near me that hates white florals. Also, I can still smell it on my skin by the end of the day, which is rare for me. Only downside is that I do not love the woody dry down nearly as much as I love the fresh, heady, coconut-y tuberose, but I also don't mind it. Besides, the heart notes last for quite a while, so it's not a big deal, and putting aside my own personal preferences for a second, I think the woody base probably makes this perfume an objectively more-balanced and better perfume. If the album "Tidal" by Fiona Apple were a perfume, I think this would be it, if that makes any sense lol. Really excited to try other tuberoses now. Love, love, love, definitely signature scent worthy.

Mmmm! Tubéreuse Vertigineuse (TV) is sweet, pleasant, and very coconutty. I don't find it very similar to Narcotic Venus but that's a good thing because NV I found overpowering whereas TV is lovely and wearable from the first spray till it fades. TV thankfully doesn't smell animalic on my skin, phew! So I'm very happy with my blind buy. The amberwood & coconut keep TV from feeling as crisp as the Gucci Bloom line feels on me. The fragrance goes quickly to the basenotes on me so I don't smell a lot of the other florals just coconut, white florals, and lots of woody notes. Tubéreuse Vertigineuse lasts well enough on my skin for my purposes at around 4 hours. I think it will be quite lovely on clothes. I'm okay with fragrances that don't last as I can use another perfume. - NOTE -- the "amberwood" note is very present throughout the wear so if you don't like that note, you may not enjoy this fragrance. Edit - April 2020 - I just sprayed this perfume again and I love it more and more. This isn't a freshie by any means but it holds it own in the market. Edit - Nov 2020 - when I smelled Fleur de Fleurs by un nuit nomade, I thought of this one. Not the same but similar vibes, so I don't need FdF since I have a full bottle of TV Edit - Jan2021 - reminds me of L'Artisan La Chasse aux Papillons, Essence No. 2 Gardenia Elie Saab and Saks 5th Ave for her by Bond no9 but I enjoy TV more than Saks and I equally love the Gardenia Essence. EDIT Sept 2025 After sampling hundreds of fragrances. My original review makes me cringe. LOL. TV is not a safe blind buy. I do not wear this frag, instead I use it as an air freshener. I would not repurchase. It's a fine fragrance but not wearable for me. The amberwood kills this one for me.

A very soapy- clean creamy tuberose. It isn't as gummy as Gucci bloom, nor as green an d camphorous as carnal flower inspired tuberoses; not as dewy and luminous as Nizane's tuberose or Don son, ore it quite different also than the creamier and sweeter Fracas, or than the happy and loud Giorgio. It is quite a unique tuberose, in my opinion, and liking this note I have tried more than few tuberose scent. The closest reference I can figure out could be Amarige by Givenchy. They are still quite different, But Amarige possesses a hint of that soapy undertone too. But Molindard's Tuberose in very very soapy. It has also the sort of ammoniacal edge I associated to orange blossom, thus I am astonished not seeing that note listed on the pyramid. Reading some of the reviews below I guess that I am not the only one smelling this and that many don't like this aspect. Instead, I like it. It give my a sort of laundry clean vibe, and I don't usually like that sort of scent, but the floral part fixs everything. Maybe this is not the best tuberose I've ever tried, but It has its spot in my collection, because is quite unique than other tuberose. It has an excellent lasting power and good projection. Moreover- due to it soapiness- it really can work almost 4 season. Excellent price/quality ratio, but decidedly it is NOT a safe blind buy, even if you are a tuberose lover.

This is quite ok for a tuberose perfume. It remains rather close to the skin throughout the wear. The first blast is rather overpowering and the tuberose, although always subtly present, hides itself behind coconut and peach. More peachy than coconut I'd say. This is not a typical beachy coconut, which is good because I don't really get on with strong coconut fragrances. The jasmine and the rose are barely there but mix together very well to make a thick creamy kind of scent like an expensive face cream. For me this perfume reaches perfection in the drydown with the tuberose dancing on the skin together with the beautiful sandalwood, ceder, amberwood (just a hint for me) and musk. All in all I like this fragrance. It's very wearable and not in your face. It gets to the dry down after a bit more than an hour, but the beautiful drydown lingers on the skin for between 4 to 6 hours. I could still smell it on me this morning when I got up. 👍👍

OKAY....I still love this, and it will always be beloved for introducing me to the beauty of tuberose, but I don't think I'm going to wear this on my skin anymore. Unfortunately, as it's been getting warmer and I've worn it more, I've realized the woods just come out wayyy too strongly on my skin for my taste, and it turns dry and dusty and tangy and just scratchy WOOD. Ugh. I do not like sour wood. But I find the opening so beautiful, and I absolutely love the soapy, creamy, COLD tuberose in here, so I mostly like to spray it on my clothes and pillow where the woods stay a lot tamer. If anyone knows a perfume with this type of tuberose but without the scratchy woody dry down, please tell me, I will forever be grateful!

I blind bought this as I do love Tuberose and am not afraid of it in a heavy dose (I have Versace Blonde). It is nothing like Blonde - it's much less skank if that makes sense.It is a beautiful, classy and fabulously potent tuberose with a big dose of green. Woods are there but I get no coconut. This is definitely about the tuberose and green notes. Its sillage and longevity are excellent. It's daytime rather than evening for me. It's doing well in the heat and it will be interesting to see how it performs in colder weather. I'm glad I bought it (based on reviews here of course). Personally I have not smelled anything else I can compare it to. If Blonde is sexual, this is sensual.

Very pretty fragrance. It smells of fresh coconut at first. So beautiful! It is tropical, but not in a nauseating way if you fear cloying coconut notes and buttery tuberose. So if you're looking for a buttery and sensual tuberose such as in Fracas, it may not be for you... This one is a slightly creamy, a bit green but not screechy. Though peach blossom is listed in the top notes, I can smell it the dry down...To me it is more elegant and classy than "vertigineuse". But it's a compliment getter... A winner for me! Smell: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 7/10

This one really shines in hot weather! I find this overpowering in cooler temps but on a hot summer day the coconut, peach, and tuberose really hold their own.

I love tuberose, I love coconut, I love sweet, heady white florals and I understand the positive reviews on this, but sadly, Tubéreuse Vertigineuse doesn't work for me. It is definitely an intense, dizzying tuberose, so the name is very fitting. The coconut is done so well, it's dry and doesn't smell beachy or dessert-like - not that those are bad things, but coconut in a more original style is even greater. I also get the lovely similarity to Nivea cream, mainly in the air and when it transfers to my clothes, not so much directly on my skin. But what kills this for me is the peach. Officially it's not peach blossom like the notes pyramid on fragrantica says, but peach skin. To my nose it's peach syrup. Maybe peach skin + amber wood makes a really syrupy sweet peach note? I usually like peach and don't mind a syrupy texture, but with the heady tuberose and other florals, it's really TOO vertiginous. Very loud and kind of messy on my skin. This is really long lasting and after numerous hours it dries down to a more powdery tuberose-coconut-sandalwood combo. I suspect that others gets to this sooner and my skin amps up the peach in the meantime. Contrary to some other reviewers I get absolutely zero green notes from this at all. Anyways, Tubéreuse Vertigineuse is an interesting, exotic take on tuberose, I just wouldn't recommend a blind buy.

Okay so this perfume I had such a wild ride with. When I first smelled it, I hated it, it came off too powdery for my tastes. Then I sprayed a lot and realized omg I smell like walking next to a actual tree of this in the rain this is amazing! But then I went to sleep. Apparently heat changes the scents Profile and now its back to cloying powder. I had to shower and wash my sheets to berid of the scent and the shower didn't wash it all away even with oil based soap. All in all: If you absolutely LOVE tuberrose, this is a safe perfume in colder weather. Any heat however and you're in a different world.

I hoped this would be just the tuberose for me, but unfortunately it isn't my taste. I'm a tuberose junkie, I love floral perfumes, but something about the jasmine and rose in this makes it feel quite mature, vintage perfumy, and almost a bit pissy on my skin. The pee-like indoles calm down after drydown but it still has a weird tang to it, almost like white wine mixed with cedar. Usually the notes in this scent would be exactly what I want, but this combination doesn't work with my chemistry.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Definitely not a love. To my nose, the opening notes smell like vinegar, or ammonia. The opening is sharp, pungent, acidic, vegetal. Tubereuse Vertigineuse is undoubtedly the greenest and most vegetal tuberose I've ever applied. And there's some coconut. When tuberose does emerge, there is this persistent, bitter, sour note in the background that overtakes the tuberose fragrance. Will give Tubereuse Vertigineuse a little more time...

Yall wear perfume wrong. Wow! This is beautiful, especially from molinard house. You only can use one spray on your wrist; two spray max. You cant spray this on your neck or chest, it will anosmia. This perfume is super beast and powerful projector. Perfect for hot nights and warm days. It smell good from distance its so loud! Dry down to semi sweet floral milky sandlewood.

The name of this fragrance really suits it well, as this is a tuberose scent that will make you dizzy, and not in the good way. I am in a current search for some of the best tuberose fragrances. Reading so many good things about this one, I decided to bite the bullet and blind buy it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a successful blind buy. Reading from the notes, I was excited to get a Tuberose with a similar profile to my beloved Rouge Malachite. Not that I was expecting it to smell like it, but to be somewhat similar in some aspects. I read about the creaminess, the tropical nuances, the greenness, etc. instead what I got was a razor sharp, almost acid floral fragrance that truly did make my stomach turn. There is nothing smooth about it, not one thing. It is screechy, sharp, loud and headache inducing. I get no peach, no coconut, no woods, no amber, no nothing. Just a sharp, loud, screechy floral. It has great longevity and projection, given how loud and in your face this is. There is NOTHING creamy, tropical, green about this. It’s just a floral fragrance that screams at you and tries to choke you. It also has this weird nail polish scent to it that adds to the screechiness of it. I had thought Do Son to be screechy and sharp and nail-polish-y, but this takes the cake. And there is not subtle notes to soften this up, it just yells at you. I don’t know if maceration will make it better but I truly doubt it. It is a pity, as I was so excited to try it out and I cannot stand it. Perhaps I got a bad batch? The one I got is in the purple bottle. I don’t know. If you’re looking for a beautiful, lush tuberose, you won’t find it here. Sad!

I am very sad. I had high expectations for this scent, which were matched at the first spray. It opens as a fresh flower/fruity combo with the tuberose mixing with the peach quite pleasantly. The coconut is there in the form of a sweet creaminess. All is good at this point. The troubles start after about 5 minutes. The peach becomes more present and it somehow also becomes sharper. In the middle notes the tuberose takes a back seat for the clean musk+peach combo, which starts to make me suspect there is an ambroxan (or another of these ugly trendy chemical amber/mush scents that are omnipresent nowadays). My suspicions are confirmed after about one hour: the dry down scratches my throat and it's cloying it at the same time. Once all the other scents are gone, this is pretty much all that stays behind, and it makes me gag. :(

I loved the opening. Bright, creamy, elegant tuberose with gorgeous cosmetic twist. So unexpected. Imagine the perfume trail behind a chic and extremely high maintenance woman. It's summer, she wears huge sunglasses and a lot of perfect white clothes without wrinkles or mysterious staines we mortals always have. You know, rich and privileged. Then I noticed something bitter and screechy. Like nails on chalkboard. It became even louder with time. I did my best to be patient, but after 6 h, I had to scrub it off. And it was painful because it didn't want to go away. Sillage is also impressive. Maybe someone tried to make me pay her credit card bill.

On my skin the woodsy notes shine strong. Beautiful Ceder and Sandalwood with a soft creamy Tubereuse around it. In background I can also detect Coconut and Musk. Very longlasting + 12 hours and with a very nice sillage. På min hud skiner tränoterna starkast. Underbar Ceder och Sandelträ med en krämig mjuk Tuberose. Jag känner även en mjuk lätt kokos och musknot. Otroligt hållbar - mer än 12 timmar och med en härlig utstrålning.

Tubéreuse Vertigineuse by Molinard is a complex and lactonic tuberose fragrance, reminiscent of Fracas in its lactonic character. However, it distinguishes itself with a more moderate evolution and a fruity-tropical profile. Despite these differences, it remains well-rounded and complex, lingering on the skin in a pleasantly summery manner.

Would like it if it weren't for the overbearing amberwood, ugh. The Tuberose is nice and sharp and bright. The synthetic amberwood is VERY strong, thick, heavy, poo oud-y, masculine leaning, headache inducing and sticks to your skin even after a hard scrubbing. Ack.

Such an awful experience with this frag! I literally tried to wash if off my wrist for half a day but couldn't and had to suffer as I kept getting whiffs for hours. I don't see how this is "green", it's screechy, extremely choky, giving old lady and dusty. It's rare for a scent to literally irritate me, but this one did the job.

I am always interested in trying a new tuberose fragrance. While the tuberose itself can feel too heady in most fragrances, I find its ability to create unique blends fascinating. In Molinard's fragrance, the opening is a heady tuberose with peach (I don't detect coconut at all); the mid the tuberose begins to fade into a woody rose (the rose barely there, but it is detectable) and within the hour you have the star of the show: the sandalwood/cedar dry down. In my opinion, the star of this fragrance is the woody dry down - making it perfect for a spring to fall transition fragrance. In my view, great fragrances transform through the opening-mid-drydown phases; they are non-linear. This fragrance is a great example of this, as it takes you to an unexpected place at the end. You think you're getting tuberose (which you do) but that is not what sustains the life of this fragrance. It turns to a spicey-woody fragrance with an occasional waft of white florals. It also has excellent lasting power; It will easily last me 6 hours or more.

I never thought id say this about any fragrance (except Rose Jam) but this perfume is almost too powerful to be enjoyed. And it has that holograhic ambroxan effect where at a certain angle you cant smell it at all, but turn slightly and it hits you like a tons of bricks. Its exceeedingly soapy while at the same time being almost creamy and indolic. But the rich animaliac aspect fights with the “ivory soap bar on steroids” bigly. Its also rather sweet, which is a good thing here, because it helps temper the “serious business” extra strength white foral soap effect. I find this perfume both very lovely and off putting all at once. The dry down is a powerful sandalwood and creamy white floral. I am glad to have it in my collection, as i find it fascinating, but this is not for the faint of heart. Update: bizarrely, as ridiculously strong as this is, it doesn't project well. Totally odd. UPDATE: gifted to my niece. This one just isnt for me.

This dude (yes he is a dude!) I have renamed, new name: George of the jungle. I was expecting something creamy and smooth, but no. Experience him is a wild ride. In the jungle or maybe at the zoo. I can even hear monkeys and birds when I smell this. Creamy tuberose and coconuts? More like a sweaty sexy badboy in charge of the jungle. To me George has the same vibe as black orchid, he’s bold, a bit obnoxious, confident, not easy to wear. George is a weirdo you either want to keep distance to or a weirdo you want to figure out, get close to and *boom* you’re addicted. I think if I wear this and a dude gets all excited, he might be THE ONE. That would be the start of a love story between two weirdos and a George. Medium performance but I hope he will improve, like most men do.
