Mugler Cologne Come Together

Wow, wow, wow. Imagine you are on vacation, you spent your hard earned money and checked into a luxury hotel chain. After a long flight, you go to the bathroom to have a shower. You then rip open a bar of soap next to the mirror, and lather it on your body. This is not an ordinary bar of soap, this smells like money, freedom, and hope. Being impressed by hotel facilities does sound quite smug and snobby. But if you grew up with nothing, everything about these luxury hotels is captivating, including the soaps. Mugler Cologne Come Together is that bar of soap. Not a single person on earth would be offended by this fragrance, or find it unpleasant. Do I see the comparisons to Creed Original Vetiver? Yes, especially in the initial spray. However, those 2 go in different directions. OV is more earthy while MCCT is more powdery and soapy. Performance is poor, as you would expect, this is a cologne. From what I have researched, this is the exact same juice as the original mugler cologne. Reputable people say it is just a rebranding and it is the exact same juice.

Blind bought this as I’ve been wanting a soapy scent for a while now. It has absolutely exceeded expectations. I intended to buy the original MC but it’s becoming hard to acquire. I haven’t smelled that one so can’t comment on it, but taking MC CT as its own fragrance I can honestly say it’s one of the freshest, most uplifting scents I’ve ever smelled. It’s incredibly light, especially in the opening, with the citrusy top notes jumping out but with an added depth given to it by the musk and floral notes. It really is hugely similar to Creed OV, and that’s coming from a guy who holds that in his top 5 fragrances. I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed but really, this is about as good of a soapy scent as anyone could possibly pull off/hope for imo. And at the price point it’s on sale at?! It’s a must-have. At first I was disappointed I may not get to smell the original, but with how good MC CT is I’m honestly not so sure I care anymore. Scent: 5/5 Longevity: 4/5 Sillage: 4/5 Value: 5/5 Because scent is weighted most heavily - Overall: 4.75/5

Just got my hands on samples of the new 5 colognes. Super stoked. I started here with the green one: Near dead-ringer for the old Thierry Mugler Cologne. This one is slightly less musky, and a little more "generic" by comparison--and i say that very loosely. When i very first smelled the original Cologne, what i remember is that the aroma was so natural and was genuinely "soft" to my nose, like it was a true blend of leaves, white flower petals and blossoms in a water solution rather than in alcohol. This new stuff, however, to me at least smells more traditional in the sense that i can kinda smell the alcohol. If this replaces the old Cologne--and i suspect it's going to--I would personally be OK with that, I would still buy this. In fact I plan to next Summer, and i still have some of the old stuff. Gotta give this a very safe 8 out of 10, I've only worn it once but I'm already diggin it.

My wife is very sensitive to smells, and this is the only scent I can wear without getting comments about having doused myself, even though I only use 1-3 sprays most of the time. She never comments on this one, which is a good sign. Many people say this has a weak performance; only lasting for an hour or two. On my skin, however, this lasts for quite a long time, i.e., 6-8 hours. And I can still smell it on my sweater or jacket several days after. The scent is fresh, clean and refreshing. It reminds me a lot of the soap called Irish Spring. It has become my signature scent at home, but I do wear it to the office sometimes as well (my default office fragrance is Prada L'Homme). This also reminds me a lot of Creed Original Vetiver, which is way more expensive and has worse performance in my opinion. In comparison, Mugler Cologne offers much better value for money.

Loved this unisex cologne but it appears to be discontinued and if not certainly very hard to find. However this week I was in Marks and Sparks browsing their sale items and picked up 5 bottles of EDP £4 for 30ml and £7 for 100ml. Cheap as chips. Excellent dupes. One stood out. Amongst the Orange Groves. A strong fresh scent that was certainly familiar. Lasted a good 24 hors and can still smell it on my clothes. Today I did a blind test spraying a little of my Come Together on a tissue and Amongst the Orange Groves on another. So similar to my nose its unbelievable. It is supposed to be a dupe of Sundazed by Byredo at £140 a shot. For me its Come Together all the way. If anyone is a fan and gets the chance to compare the M&S offering please comment. I am no expert but for me its like wow. Ive got 230mls to savour.

I've used the original Mugler Cologne for 20 years, and Come Together for at least 5 or 7, and I don't detect a significant difference between them. I currently am working through a vintage 300ml jug of the OG and a relatively new 100ml of Come Together, and they're essentially the same thing. It is just a terrific light, clean fragrance. Perfect for casual day wear or on summer evenings after a day at the beach. It always makes me happy. Some say the performance is weak. I don't think so. I know that I quickly go noseblind to this one, but my wife smells it 4 or 5 hours after application. That's long enough for me. After 5 hours I'm ready to let nearly any fragrance go away. Mugler is simply beautiful. I hope never to be without it.

Never got to smell the original, but this is an absolute love for me. So green and slightly soapy. Doesn't last that long, but just decant and respray. You can go crazy with the sprayer too, it will never get cloying. If you like this DNA try to get your hands on a bottle of Banana Republic 78 Vintage Green (not soapy but just as green). I like to layer these together to amp up the green, my favorite color.. Works for any occasion, but definitely spring/summer. Especially useful in a professional setting where you don't want to be offensive. Backup bottle worthy. 11/10 would bang again and again. Update: Creed Original Vetiver is a 4k amped up version of this DNA.

According to Thierry Mugler, Come Together (Green) is the original Mugler Cologne fragrance repackaged. However, for some reason, this version is slightly more bitter than Mugler Cologne, especially in the base. I just tested both side by side, and sure enough Come Together is just a tad bit different. Don't get me wrong, they are still 90% similar, but the new Come Together release almost smells as if it has a faint bell pepper note buried in there somewhere. Reformulation perhaps? I really don't know. I prefer the original Mugler Cologne release, but either way this stuff is just fantastic for hot summer weather.

Amazing stuff. Soapy, green, fresh. No idea why almost no one says this can be worn in winter, because the soapiness definitely offsets the greenness enough for it to be a little warm. Super safe blind buy. There aren't many people who walk this earth who would think this isn't at least good. The only downside is the performance. But to be fair, it is a cologne; technically an EdT. However, for the price this goes for now ... it's hard to justify it. I bought it because I'm obsessed with soapy fragrances, but if you just want a freshie, then there are cheaper options on the market.

There was a time when I lived by the sea in the Philippines and back then Mugler cologne was my staple fragrance. Having moved to London, I have forgotten about this simple but elegant fragrance. At a point I felt sad when I heard that the Mugler cologne was discontinued....luckily this was revived with a different name. Fresh, soapy, clean and crisp. This for me is the perfect 'citrus' fragrance. Uncomplicated but effortlessly elegant with great longevity especially for a summer fragrance. A classic and something I now keep and consider as one of the best fragrance!

Took me three months to decide if I like it and if I want it. The only reason for my doubts was that this EDT is present for a women and men. But I couldn’t take my mind of it. And let me tell you - on me smells so soft and divine...and gets deeper and deeper as long I wear it. I love it! That will be my summer treasure. I can also imagine a man wearing Come Together, but in a masculine way... Another great fragrance from Alberto Morillas...

First spritz of Come Together reminds me of playing with fresh willow leaves when i was a kid, shredding them into little pieces and squeezing them in my hand. It turns into a subtle soap smell once it settles. It smells very clean and effortless. It sits close to skin. Edit: sampled again 4 months later - i noticed the white floral in the opening can be quite strong.

Confirming what user Vrastaman said! I just received a new bottle, label is 'Mugler Cologne'. Checked the batch code, it was produced in April 2024! Will try to revisit and update this comment once I've had a chance to properly experience the fragrance - I never smelled 'the original' so unfortunately won't be able to compare the two.

This is exactly the same juice as Mugler Cologne. Do not be fooled by people complaining about differences with the original or lack of performance. If you like the OG, you will 100% like this one. No performance issues here.

Just received an order and - lo and behold! - the "Come Together" moniker is gone, it is just branded "Cologne". That is good mews for two reasons: (a) it is not being discontinued (as rumored) and (b) the OG name is back!

The light, neroli-musk freshness is truly delightful and wonderfully uplifting. It's versatile enough to suit any occasion, making it a lovely choice for anyone seeking a gentle touch of fragrance.

Sharp and refreshing opening, soft and clean musky dry down that is absolutely to die for. Somehow both uplifting and comforting. So simple, but so good.

Mugler Cologne Come Together is a citrusy, green, and musky fragrance. Its opening is citrusy and green without any hint of sweetness, leaning toward a cologne-style fragrance, as its name suggests, giving an energetic and good feeling. You can perceive a bit of neroli in the scent, but it never leans toward the floral side; it always remains green under a musky aromatic base. This version of Mugler Cologne, like the original, is intended for daytime use, for personal enjoyment or to feel good, for casual outings, etc. As for its longevity, it lasts a maximum of 4 to 5 hours on me, and the sillage is low almost from the moment it is applied. I really liked the scent of this fragrance, but its performance is very poor. If it had a longer duration or projection, I would have considered purchasing it, but it seems to be increasingly difficult to find, so I don't recommend buying it blindly.

COME TOGETHER (Alberto Morillas) is the new name for the original MUGLER COLOGNE – ‘the O.G.’ If you are familiar with this classic MUGLER, then not much has changed. It is still the same grassy green cologne awash with cottony petitgrain and lots of white musks that give it that steam ‘fresh out of the shower’ vibe. It does feel like it has lost something – a fullness that provided a soapy texture. Other than that, COME TOGETHER is MUGLER COLOGNE – a worthy centrepiece to this collection. Fun fact: the famed ‘S’ note in COME TOGETHER is reportedly a semen accord, named simply as ‘S’ because back in 2001, a mainstream fragrance with an accord would have been far too risqué. The idea of having this ‘S’ accord was to inject something dirty into a fragrance that was otherwise sterile and clean. The more you know, eh?

Mine is a new one, ridiculously large 300ml bottle with no labels and no beauty. It says Mugler cologne edt on the bottom. Green juice inside is best described as a mild, aromatic, refreshing, "after the shower" mist. Compared to 4711 it is a lot more gentle and if applyed to skin, would last and restore freshness for the whole day. Nothing mind blowing, but pleasantly wearable, close to skin and without any offensive notes. It is a welcome addition to my collection and a good first choice in the summer. Update: summer is unusually warm and humid this year and nothing lasts long, so over 100ml are gone in a month.

So I bought the variety "color" samples and I've been comparing original Cologne on one arm and Come Together on the other. To me they're basically the same, especially in the dry down. When first spritzed, it seemed CT was a bit more "there" with maybe more of a slight woody sense about it - but VERY slight... and really, an hour later, and then 2+ hours later I'm not able to detect a difference at all - LOVE them both!! (I don't really find a similarity in CT and TrulyGracious but I find that a near dupe to TGracious is Nest Bamboo & Jasmine!)

Mugler's Come Together is a very beautiful, soapy but high neroli composition with a beautiful musk that relaxes you, takes you on vacation in a sun kissed beach somewhere in the Bahamas. I've noticed that the longevity is pretty good, about 6 hours and the sillage is moderate. This is not a beastly fragrance, it's a scent that calms and soothes the senses. Office safe, casual or not; it's definitely a beautiful composition. Well done Thierry Mugler.

Nothing particularly exciting, smells very soapy in a Irish spring type of way, people might not even recognize this as a cologne but might ask you what soap you use. Very safe fragrance and can be worn anywhere, longevity is good at around 6-7 hours for me and projection is light to moderate. Safe to wear anywhere, gym, office, etc. Great if you want to smell like you're fresh out of the shower without smelling like cologne.

I've never smelled the original Mugler Cologne, but this is very fresh and pleasant. I like the idea of this collection, of layering them and combining them in different ways, but as with all the others, the sillage and longevity in this one are nonexistent. Even when layered with other scents, it still fades within an hour or two. I enjoy the scent itself quite a bit. I just wish it performed better.

@ToddProjects No offense but Just Jack Neroli is in my opinion a horrible recommendation and a synthetic mess. Not worth wearing. Love Mugler Cologne though regardless of performance which I agree is not that good but I find it acceptable for this type of fragrance.

Terrible name aside, the scent is nice, clean, and soapy, but also well balanced. (It doesn't smell like a cleaning agent, so that's a positive) Very unisex. It will get you in the same realm as Original Vetiver for a fraction of the price.

Batch code is 0851157. This is really nice bright clean and green perfume. Its so calming and relaxing. Amazing how a smell can be so basic but smell so good. Really nice simple clean and green perfume.

Not as soapy as l was expecting but still smells good. Very weak performance and a bit of a let down as l had high hopes for this one. Maybe next time I’ll over spray and see what happens.

When just sprayed has a sweetish green feel, but it dissipates in minutes leaving behind a nice marseille soap! Unfortunately very faint but i guess that's the point of a cologne

Simply Mugler Cologne with a new name.

Of the Mugler Colognes I've tried so far, this is probably my favorite. Clean, soapy musk with a very slight touch of citrus. Extremely easy to wear in the high heat of summer, and decidedly unisex--who doesn't enjoy smelling freshly showered? My gripe is the longevity to price tag ratio. Supposedly, it's an EDT, but it performs like an EDC on my skin--at a mere 2 hours, I have to ostrich deep into my shirt to detect it. At 3.5 hours it is completely gone and has left the building. It would be a very strong "like" based entirely on the scent itself, but that longevity to asking price ratio knocks it down to just an "ok", at least for me. Definitely worth checking out as an easy-reach, unisex summer fragrance, but only if so-so longevity doesn't bother you.

I like the fragrance in projection. There is a slightly sour or vinegar note when I put my nose to my skin. This odd note is blended in with the soap, and I've heard it described as bitter, or green, or the mysterious special ingredient, some say vetiver some say something, uh funkier. I dunno, it bugs me if I pay attention. Shoot me but I prefer this layered with another cologne that adds aldehydes. I think I'll sell my giant 300 ml bottle if I don't smell an improvement this coming summer.

I bought a decant of this while searching for a cheaper OV alternative. It's a fresher and more linear version of OV (or we could say OV is a deeper and more complex version of this one). Unfortunately, it lasts about 10 minutes on my skin. I would be curious to see if the original Mugler Cologne has the same performances. Maybe one day, if I am bored, I will do some vintage hunting.

Fresh, bright, clean, green and soapy. A very easy to love fragrance if you like soapy ones. Tons of neroli and musk with some citrus in the background. It totally smells like a familiar green bar of soap. I really love this stuff but it requires many sprays and my first bottle vanished quickly. Although it’s fairly cheap I had to buy a second bottle far sooner than anything I’ve ever owned before. Unfortunately longevity isn’t great. I applied 7 sprays this morning and by noon it was almost gone. This is best for those mornings when you don’t have time for a shower but want to smell good and clean for a few hours. Regarding the mysterious S note, yes it's definitely there. It's subtle but one day I realized it after wearing it several times. All those criticizing longevity are justified. This scent is well deserving of a boost in performance and I hope we'll see that one day. This is easily one of the best smelling scents ever created. It’s something you can spray on yourself the minute you wake up and not be bothered by at all. Perfectly clean and Uber fresh. FYI, I contacted Mugler and they said Come Together has indeed been discontinued.

Unfortunately, this fragrance was not for me and I’m grateful I sampled before blind buying. I love soapy frags and every reviewer online said this was quite clean and soapy, but I don’t find this to be the case at all. I have a decant and to my nose this smells oddly similar to the green aloe vera gel I’d use for sunburns as a kid. This is not a terrible smell I suppose but, because I have that association, it’s not a pleasant smell for me. This is very citrussy and very grassy, and I don’t get a soapy vibe at all. Be sure to sample prior to buying just to be sure you like it.

It smells fantastic but don't waste your money on this one. It's no wonder it was disco'd. I have a full bottle and the scent doesn't even last 5 minutes on skin. Performance is nearly as bad as 4711. If you ever find it for $15 grab it but it's not worth more than that. If you like Come Together but want a nuclear version of it with great performance, get yourself Al Haramain Amber Oud Aqua Dubai.

Why would you F up one of the best scents ever made? A classic, masterpiece of Morillas and the front fragrance of your perfume line? Kinda glad this version is discontinued already.

Come Together is a botanical aromatic. This is said to be a re-issue of the original Mugler Cologne, but it seems very different to me than I recall it in my first sampling back in 2015. It was very powerful and stingy. Even just one spray was way too much. Enigmatic bitter accents dominated the essence, reflecting a true Avant Garde style, with an aroma that did seem to perfectly match the Alienscape depicted in the promos. This version of the classic Mugler Cologne seems recomposed entirely. It's far more natural smelling, deep and full-bodied, reflecting distinguishable petitgrain characteristics totally unlike before. The aromatic elements before were totally indistinguishable to me. I could not recognize them as anything more than a sour mash—derived from totally unknown sources. The notes in this formula are instantly recognizable as natural and botanical. And the blend between them is very well composed, so that this fragrance would be easy to enjoy as a serious cologne. I had personally believed the first formula was under-blended itself by intention. Allowing true cologne lovers to blend it up themselves, with infinite potential in respects to any special tastes that they might have. This formula seems no different, only far more natural. And thus, far easier to blend, as well as far easier to enjoy with dignity, akin to its charming natural qualities. By itself, this is a very simple, yet sweet fragrance. I would say it's geared towards more sophisticated tastes, whom find stimulation in life's simple joys. It could also make a great element for layering, naturally. Adding depth and character to another fragrance, by dabbing a little of this on underneath it. Should have been like $20 dollars though—in my opinion. That's twenty McDoubles—at a McDonald's mane—460 grams of protein.

Come Together (2018) is the same formula as the original Cologne (2001). They simply renamed it when they brought out a dozen flankers. I'm not interested in any of them and while I don't hate the new name I'm always going to refer to this simply as Mugler's Cologne. Thierry Mugler asked the nose for this fragrance (Alberto Morillas) to replicate a bar of soap he bought in Morocco (or so the story goes) and it really does smell like an expensive bar of triple-milled, luxury soap. I always try and describe the essence of each of my fragrances in just three words and there are several for which one of those words is 'clean'. Clean of course doesn't have a smell, so what clean is describing is not a smell but a feeling. Wearing a 'clean' fragrance it makes you feel fresh, as though you have showered or bathed, even if you actually haven't. These fragrances tend to be citruses or light florals. Some examples: 4711 Original, Pure White Linen, Waterlily Sun. Since Cologne is inspired by, and distinctly smells of soap, having it recall the feeling of cleanliness makes perfect sense. However, there is something about this fragrance that is so confidently sexy it feels a tad smutty. The combination of cleanliness and overt sexiness gives this fragrance an irreverent cheekiness, or as Luca Turnin describes it "that rarest thing: a fun masculine fragrance" (Perfumes: The A-Z Guide - 2010). Think James Bond showering or on the beach, or your preferred film that features a scene where a gorgeous man is semi-nude. Given how inexpensive this is compared to others on the market that are no where near as good, way more men should be wearing this. I'm a woman and I love feeling like a clever, confident babe when I wear this on a hot summer day in the city.

Thierry Mugler COLOGNE: COME TOGETHER [nose: Alberto Morillas; 2018] Aldehydic--Hesperidic--Musqué type. Notes: Aldehydes, petitgrain, neroli, lime peel, coriander, paperwhites, jasmine, grassy notes, tagetes, sandalwood, white musk. This new fragrance is a brilliant, effervescent and refreshing scent, ideal for summer weather. Sharp, nose-prickling "solar" aldehydes wake you up, followed by dapper, natty petigrain, a nostalgic "Art Deco" neroli, to create a hesperidic sheen of refreshment. Gradually in the drydown, subtle white florals add their vernal winsomeness, spiked by very outdoorsy and health-filled green lawn notes. An image of fine French soap gives you a feeling of vintage clean-ness. In farthest drydown, a whisper-subtle bed of tagetes, sandalwood and a pure skin musk give a distant note that reminds you of tanned skin after a long day at the pool or beach. This new fragrance is both to-the-minute in style, with its glassy/linear sheen of top-heavy minimalism; yet it directly alludes, I feel, to the very first eaux-de-cologne as they appeared in the 1700's in Cologne, Germany. In fact, COME TOGETHER is making a direct allusion, I am convinced, to the very first well-known Kölnisch Wasser invented by Johann-Maria Farina in 1709. This is one of those sparkling, "tonic" scents that I like to save for summer's hottest months--- which in South Texas are July and August. In fact, at that time, I stash it in the fridge, so it goes on wonderfully cold. Lovely and revitalizing after a long airplane or car trip. I love the flacon for COME TOGETHER, suggesting as it does oldschool barber's tonic bottles, with their vaguely obelisk shape and graceful shoulders. The jus within is a light grass-green. Pure refreshment!
