Saint Martin

I’m not adept enough at distinguishing florals but this fragrance does bring to mind the air in tropical islands like Hawaii and St. Martin so I think they nailed it. I love how rich and buttery the floral notes are (which represents “yellow floral” to me) and I get the hibiscus, my all time favourite flower. It’s a very nostalgic scent, I enjoy this fragrance in private as it’s pretty intense and feels uncomfortably overpowering when I’m around others.

The most beautiful floral I have smelled in ages. Clean and light, with perfect intensity. Well done!

saint martin smells like how i think spa water would smell like to me at first. a very subtle floral scent that is fresh and green. while not listed as a note here, this perfume smells exactly like frangipani flowers that were freshly picked from the plant. i grew up in a tropical region, and we would always to to beach resorts for vacation. each resort would have these big frangipani trees that had flowers fallen on the ground which i would always pick them up and put them in my hair. also, very subtly, about 10 minutes after the initial spray, there is a slight star jasmine scent in the dry down that also happen to be a scent that i was familiar with throughout my childhood, which was very pleasant. while i am not a fan of this perfume as it comes off as too green and like photorealistic fresh flowers to me, i appreciate that there is a scent that smells like good memories from my childhood. it is also a break from all the synthetic smelling floral perfumes on the market right now.

Got a sample of three Nateeva scents and they are all actually nice, but kind of basic (I hate to use that word, but it fits in this case) and familiar. Nothing jumps out and that's not a bad thing, but I need just a little more oomph with my florals. This one actually fooled me into thinking I was smelling honeysuckle, but then my brain was also going back to the way Afloat and Champs Elysees smell and bingo, it's mimosa! I honestly only smell mimosa with this one and it's nice, but it needs something else to bring it out more. EDIT: Okay, after fifteen minutes with this one I had to scrub it off. Why? The Neroli started to overtake the Mimosa and I can now confidently confirm that Neroli and I just do not get along. Wish I did because almost every women's fragrance has it, especially summer scents.

While not terribly original i concept, I find it a head and shoulders above some of the more complex comparisons, especially in wearability. It's a nice white floral with a slightly spicy, almost fruity twist from the hibiscus. Not terribly long-lived, but will be a godsend on days when everything thing else feels to sticky or stifling.
