Cologne Cedrat

I love the scent of this. The citrus woody notes remind me of Acqua di Parma Colonia. All it misses is a hint of lavender and it might be really close to AdP. I actually like this better than AdP itself. Unfortunately, the performance of this is so poor. Maybe it was my decant/sample, but I smelled this for less than 10 minutes before it was effectively completely gone. Not sure it even makes sense to spend even $50 for something that won't last more than 10 minutes.

The smell of Spanish men in the early 90's. Love it!

Really lovely blend of citron, Amalfi lemon (which always makes all the difference in citrus fragrances), and cedar. Such a great woody-citrus opening, but it's gone fairly quickly. It's an eau de cologne, so that's to be expected: you would have to keep replenishing it on your skin, as they do in Europe, which would mean carrying a bottle around with you.

Nothing ground breaking but a very nice unisex citrus scent in the same vein as the Aqua De Parma line. Good projection for this type of fragrance. Not too masculine--stays right in the middle so women may enjoy this as well. Great price and although not long lasting, not any worse than AdP and less expensive.

This is a very light fragrance up close, it hints of something very sophisticated but very slight.

I am not a fan of this cologne. I found the sharp alcoholic citron to be a bit irritating. The cedar they used seemed more sour than the warm woody scent of Virginia cedar. I guess that was probably from combining it with the lemon or whatever else. This became very soapy very fast on my skin, but much slower and somewhat less on cotton fabric. Otherwise it smelled like barbershop meets some masculine date night formula from Calvin Klein. That is not an awful combination, but it is uninspiring, middle of the road, and like your average mature manly work day aftershave/cologne. That probably works great for some, but it does not fit the vision I have for a cologne. Although I feel that it is somewhat appealing enough to be generally liked.

I picked up a bottle of Parfums de Nicolaï Cédrat last summer as part of my annual campaign to beat the heat. For some reason, the heat was not overwhelming last year, so I did not use up the bottle, despite what I found to be the unimpressive longevity of the composition. I should say that this is supposed to be an eau de cologne, so no complaints, given the modest price: $40 for 100ml. Cédrat offers citrus woody scrumptiousness to my nose and may come closest to Annick Goutal Eau d'Hadrien. It's simple, but it's clean, and it's refreshing. What more could one want from a hot weather cologne? I rarely wear citrus-centric fragrances in any other season, but when the heat bears down oppressively, nothing lifts my spirits faster than well-made, natural-smelling citrus cologne. Just like this one.

nice fragrance, may be bottle worthy..opens very bright and just a great smell..from just a small sample..will explore it more but for the moment..i like it..nice citrus sent..very clean..very similar to me to alvarez gomez.. smells great.. longevity is so so but not offensive so reapplying lightly works well with this scent..
