Nike Brown Man

Oh yes I remember this one. Bought it a few years ago back in the local store called Eurokos in Europe, town of Siauliai. Much can be said about the fact that in some rare cases cheap fragrances can ouch way above their weight category. It is very similar to Lancome Hypnose man and Dior Homme, but i do not see it as a replica, it is something of its own. It has borrowed something from Guerlain Pour Homme also. Longevity: 8/10 (6 hours easily) Silage: 7/10 (lingers in the air as fragrant aura for a few hours, 2 or 3) It is a bit spicy, dry and smells a lot like 5-7 times more expensive fragrances. It is a bit synthetic in the beginning, but the drydown is good, albeit linear, not intoxicating. Sometimes, on rare occasions you can stumble upon a 10eur for 100ml bottles thinking - why am I paying more for expensive designer fragrances? This parfum shows that we are very often being scammed when buying designer fragrances, such as Gucci, Armani, even Boss. This is not a great fragrance, not a legend, however it is a masterpiece of budget category. Despite it's synthetic nature, it could be sold for a lot more under a more expensive brand. Mike Brown is likely the best fragrance in Nike line. Not a good choise for Summer, but I remember receiving many many compliments from women when wearing this. Somehow, to my surprise... It is a sophisticated fragrance. It just needs to settle, wait for a couple of mins after spraying. It opens up beautifully. I actually kept a bottle for myself just to open the cap and smell it once in a while. You have to try it, it's worth a lot more than 10 eur. I can only imagine what kind of fragrance would it be with slightly better ingredients.

Atlast! Nike brown on fragrantica. Still the best frag in this house IMO. Even the release of the new Premium Nike color editions, to my nose Nike Brown is better! I can't recall the notes of this fragrance (since fragrantica did not list the notes) but I'm pretty sure that this has a note of Star Anise, which in my skin dominates throughout its scent life. Pretty linear star anise with some chocolatey vibe to it. Got some real depth and in my opinion, a pretty versatile fragrance! I let my girl smell this and she liked it! Not her favorite, but still a good smelling fragrance. The cap sucks bigtime though. Easily slides on to the perfume, it pops off really quick. Overall: Scent: 8/10 Projection: 8/10(on my skin, this is one of the best projecting fragrance in my small collection! It projects like 5 feet away for 3 hours. 4th hour mark gave me atleast 2-3 feet of projection. Pretty solid IMO Longevity: 6/10(has a really good projection, but has an okay longevity on my skin. About 5 hour tops) Age Group: 15 to 35 Price: Bought this for about 8 DOLLARS! It's a no brainer! Bang for you buck!!

The top from 2-10 mins is great. Later, on close inspection there is a food-related note I don't want to wear. Not a "garbage" perfume. In fact, Brown smells pretty good at arm's length. I haven't seen Nike Brown for sale in years, on any online retailers. Nowadays auction sites are asking real money for it - e.g. env. $30 - on eBay. It must be discontinued and rare, now. I seem to remember paying about $2 for my bottle when I first got into real collecting and bought tons of cheapies. I have affection for these good and simple colognes. Nike Brown would be a great splash cologne in 400 ml glass bottles. Alas.

... star anise , yes ... but I get lots of pepper , vanilla and cardamom ... this is the following day , before shower , and NBM is still present ... ... chocolate ? ... hum ...perhaps ...

I finally figured out ! .... This has a close resemblance to to the old Corrida by Louis Férauud , more intense and peppery but in the same vein ! Like it a lot ! Great projection !

... Great smell, lasts a lot and is better used in spring or autumn ...

As a cheapie(for me a compliment), I think this shares the same base as other nike colors frags to cut on cost. Compared to red man, this is a tad fresher but one will definitely know that they are in the same vein. For its price $5, fair enough. Great for errands and everyday chores. Not that really excited tho.
