L'Air du Temps Eau Florale

Although this fragrance is called Eau Florale, it has very prominent citrus notes and makes it a very fresh scent. It’s a very pretty and pleasant floral and it retains the light and airy character of the original. However it is composed of different flowers and there is no spice. It’s perfect for spring and summer, being especially suited for hot weather due to the airy citrus feel to it. It’s so well blended that I only pick up a few of the notes. The main notes that I pick up are peony, honeysuckle, bergamot and lemon. The combination of all of the notes does come off as a bit soapy. This is much more modern than the original. The original, which is so beautiful and classic, has a vintage vibe, whereas this one is more modern.

I just bought this fragrance at Macy's and I love its light, fresh, citrusy vibe. It has the airy spirit of the original L'Air du Temps with lovely modern citruses and florals. The fragrance opens with bright fresh citruses prominent, with a bit of peony poking its nose in. Then the clear notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom enter the scene. The honeysuckle is very pretty and realistic on my skin. As the fragrance develops, one can detect the wood and violet base notes. This fragrance dries down beautifully, with a lasting bright, fresh floral and citrus trail. It is a fresh, bright, citrusy floral for fragrance enthusiasts of all ages.
