L'Homme Éthéré

I am going through all of Ntrigue's offerings to review and help spread awareness of this brand after purchasing their discovery collection from their website. Being a newer fragrance house I took a gamble on their collection and I am so happy I did. L'Homme Ethere is a brilliant combination of warm spices, a truly 'ethereal' (to harken the name) lavender, and one of the best sandalwood vanilla bases I have tried. Given the name, wearing this fragrance is like existing in a cloud. It is very light, very ethereal (lol I cant stop because its so true) and sparks the senses when you experience it on the first spray. The top notes of cinnamon, cardamom, and lemon provide a zesty spicy opening which dries down into a slightly spicy, but truly delightful lavender heart. The lavender is more of a top-middle note because it is perceivable on my skin from ~30 min to 3 hours before the incredible sandalwood and vanilla base silently appears and gains strength for the duration of the fragrance. I have a true love for spicy fragrances and Ntrigue's interpretation of a spicy opening fougere fragrance does it so well.

This fragrance is beautiful top and down, in the open you get a blend of bright cardamom and cinnamon, not as much lavender as I thought. The brightness in the top is definitely from the lemon which keeps it aerie and not a 'dark' fragrance. That lavender starts to come out more towards the mid, but its an intoxicating lavender in the greatest of ways. It reminds me of a way more complex LNDL which transitions into an even greater lavender sandalwood fragrance in the dry down. The fragrance gives me a good 4-5 hours of great perceptibility, then I'll catch wiffs of the sweet sandalwood base for another 6+ hours where it gets much closer to the skin.

LHomme Ethere and Radiant Resin are my favorites from Ntrigue. I get a great combined warm spice from the cinnamon and the cardamom. As that slowly fades the lavender opens and is one of the best lavender fragrances I own. Really enjoy it and reminds me of a cross between la nuit delhomme and penhaligons endymion. When i go back to smell la nuit delhomme after smelling lhomme ethere, it almost falls flat. Lhomme Ethere gives such a dynamic profile that I love and is my new daily wear.
