Styletto Elegance

I'm a big fan of this one. It's a subtle yet inviting smell that puts me in a similar space to something like Burberry touch or one of the Prada staple men's line. Very office friendly, very versatile and was extremely cheap when bought from O Boticario's Portuguese website (not sure if it has been discontinued as it's not showing on there for sale at the time of writing)

Well-blended gourmand... good balance between sweet musk and woods. Nice longevity and sillage, with even nicer price

Attempt to copy Chanel Egoiste Platinum, though, is sweeter, more vanilla and tonka. Good fragrance.

At the beginning smells like typicall 90's fougere (montblanc legend) but in the drydown the vanilla-tonka gives me a feling of something not enjoyable for me, is good, but a bit old for me. Another perfume that is part of the history of Brazilian perfumery, Styletto was launched in the 1980s (and if I'm not mistaken, it was my second perfume) and its name survives to this day in the nation's olfactory memory. In 2012, the company launched Styletto Elegance as a Limited Edition flanker and the fragrance quickly became a success and ended up staying in line, undergoing repackaging and, according to gossip, reformulations. In 2020, the perfume returned as part of the BotiCollection, which brings together the classics of Boticário's perfumery under a single brand, such as Anni, Thaty, Portinari, etc. The fragrance of Styletto Elegance is classified as aromatic-fruity and has notes of bergamot, apple, mandarin, and lavender at the top. Then, in the center of the olfactory pyramid, are notes of geranium, cedar, oakmoss, and vetiver. Finally, the base of the composition brings notes of vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and tonka bean. On the skin, the fragrance is pure nostalgia, as it reminds me of what was once a trend in perfumery, such as the use of the apple note in men's fragrances in the late 90s, for example. And this becomes very evident when we spray Styletto Elegance, as it is pure apple juice with a touch of bergamot. In a few minutes, the lavender begins to exude and dominate the evolution of the fragrance, bringing a camphorated effect, which gains even more strength with the icy facets of geranium. The dry down brings a sweet base, with a strong presence of tonka bean and a woodier aspect. It is impossible not to think of older fragrances with the same olfactory path, as in Boss Bottled and, obviously, Ferrari Black. The proposal is the same, but with different execution and results that cross paths at times. Styletto Elegance is not a scent I would buy and perhaps for this reason I don't remember the first version, still with the black bottle. However, it is important to remember that my evaluation is based on the fragrance of this 2020 version, which gave me a median performance and does not match my personality today. However, if it came back, it is because many people asked for it, and as the saying goes: "the voice of the people... is the voice of God".
