Amants Maudits

I think I’m obsessed with this? I’ve only had it on for a few hours, and it is nothing like my traditional scent profile, but there’s something so easily likable about it. Admittedly, this was very close to the skin, but I personally don’t like very loud fragrances. The people in my life have sensitive noses so I’m more comfortable with more intimate projection. In that regard, this is great. It starts out quite fruity and sweet and then quickly transitions into a warm musky scent. The musk aspect is more prominent than I expected, which is ideal for me. You can also pick up on the oud in the base, but it’s not funky or overwhelming. It just adds a warmth and roundness to the structure of the fragrance. The whole thing is effortlessly likable. Also you can’t beat the price. I might update the review as I continue to wear this, but if I don’t, that means I continue to love it.

Just as the previous reviewer, I think I'm obsessed! As soon as I smelled it, it triggered something in me. It brought the feeling of a memory, no specific memory though. It just felt like home, safety and love, elegance and wonder. My eyes welled up almost immediately. It felt so special that I wanted to cry. And this is just my initial reaction. It's extraordinary. It is not very often that I fall in love with a perfume after just one sniff. After I give it some wear, I will need to add to my review. But yes, I am in love.

sort of opposite to the notes, it opened with green cypress and smelled just like the forest. after an hour it had fully changed, with a transition smell of oud and frankincense, to a jammy fruity smell, blackberries and rose, grounded by the peach leaf. a couple hours later it was more musky, an almond cake and fresh spring smell. the final dry down came back to a mix of clean linen and wood.

This smells like warm, sweet love in a cold, dark forest. I’m obsessed. I’m a huge fan of everything I’ve smelled by Odette, but this might be my new favorite. I’ve been layering it with my signature scent (Eau Rose on the clothes and the rollerball of Amants on my skin) and it is to die for. I’ll have to pick up a big bottle since this is currently only a limited release 😭
