Dirty Sexy Wilde

I love this one. Probably my favourite from the 6 Opus Oils I have tried so far and the reason for that I am guessing is that it's very old school in vibe. Turn of the century handkerchief perfumes is kind of spot on. It reminds me of perfumes like the original Dunhill for Men Cologne, or its later compatriots like Aramis or even Mr. Blass by Bill Blass. Musky, animalic, ambery spice blends. I get the Musk, civet, oakmoss, coumarin, and an ambery tobacco. This is not dirty at all or atleast if Dirty to you means fecal barnyard oud kind of Dirty. Just a really nice civet that adds depth to the rest of the notes. The beautiful thing with a lot of those old Mens Colognes is that this kind of blend mixes very well with a Mans natural skin aroma and that's the case here as well. This is definitely on the masculine side. Projection like most of these Opus oils is personal space. Longevity with generous dabs is about 5-6 hours although it stays as a skin scent for much longer. To summarise, this not really Dirty, sexy - yes. Wilde, well that depends on you. If you like animalic Musks, or old school masculines, do check this out. Definitely investing in a full bottle of this one. This is a "love"for me. 9/10

I was warned this fragrance was very earthy, but since I love earthy scents (vetiver is a huge favourite)I thought, "what the hey!" And... "What the Hey!" indeed! Not too earthy at all, actually I think the person who warned me confused 'earthy' with 'musky, sweaty and sated'. It has a beautiful, just barely there smokiness about it. Not an incense smokiness; more a small fire deep in the forest, to rest by after a night of carnal delights. The citrus balances the deeper tones nicely. Honestly, it's like laying on a bed of crushed grasses and flowers, deep in a deciduous forest. With your lover in your arms. And that little fire flickering beside you as you rest in the afterglow. I wear it very lightly, and notice people sniff and turn to see if they can track down the source of the fragrance. Perfect sillage! And a little lasts a loooong time. I've had nothing but positive comments about Dirty Sexy Wilde. It's unusual, different and far from common. I absolutely agree with MirabelleJee in that it may be more for men... men who want to get laid! And for the woman who wants to be not just noticed, but remembered.

I've bought it from Opus Oils site and I'm not disappointed. I can say that it's more for men than for women, it sounds better on my husband than on me. But I like this unusual scent too. The citrus notes (mandarine orange) and galbanum are leading and are the center, it could be one of the usual citrus men's fragrances, but they are surrounded with some warm and "dirty" notes. And it's sexy!

Hmm. This is indeed sexy. It is exactly how I like a man to smell. I don't know if I am really pulling this off as a woman, but it smells good enough to me that I don't even care. The galbanum and violet give this a fresh, herby edge. The civet is the least offensive I have found in a perfume, just adding depth but I wouldn't call it skanky. I think this is a bit less earthy than some of the other scents I've sampled from Opus Oils, but one of the more interesting ones to me.

Probably one of the few Opus oil, that could be deemed average to above average, i find the combination of dusty old cigarettes and clean white musk charming but quickly faded. Not rally animalic or "dirty" for real Skank , please try Untitled 8 by Brent or Musc Koublai Khan which can be bought cheaper than what Opus oil is selling for. The blend is not very complex at all, not much development. This is true for the 14+ odd samples i have from them. Truth be told, the price and quality of product do not match, at such premium pricing, a very commercialized house with little to show Sillage and Longevity is very poor, to smell you would have to do one of those cram you wrist to your nose maneuver.
