Black Cherry

Flushed cheeks, red lipstick, holding onto a slim cigarette, whilst seated at a dimly lit speakeasy wearing a LBD. This is an absolute banger of a perfume for me. It is quite screechy, but boy does that red wine note absolutely SINGS in this perfume. The other reviews talk about the cherry note, but to me, this smells like straight up grapes/other berries and red wine. Does not smell like cherry at all to me, and neither do I smell the almond or roasted nuts. With that said, this perfume is in the same family as Liquide Imaginaire's Dom Rosa. It's got the same juicy, alcohol vibe. However, the rose in Dom Rosa is much more present, whereas in this perfume, it's very much in the background. If you're looking for a realistic, alcoholic perfume, this is one to try.

Finally I find the cherry fragrance I love, and Ordio Lab's Black Cherry is the one. The cherry note is unlike any other. It's sweetness is in the good spot. While rose and red wine add balance to it. The fragrance projects so well. I love every part of it.

This is an incredibly unique and deep cherry. I have never smelled anything like it. It makes me think of the deep burgundy color of fresh black cherries. There's a sharpness (I imagine from the saffron) that starts out very strong when you first spray it, but it retreats to a hint as it dries down giving a slight impression of the mild sourness of cherries, letting a fresh, watery smelling sweetness come to the forefront. It smells like a bowl of perfectly ripe back cherries that you just started eating. I'm not the biggest fan of fruity scents usually, but I find this one intriguing. Definitely worth checking out, but not blind buy friendly.

Truly a good encapsulation of black cherry as a sexy, feminine flavor. What that particular shade of dark reddish violet smells like. If Clue's With the Candlestick and Amphora's Primal Yell are dark and complex cherries in a way where they might show up in a still life or painted Renaissance feast and Una Tira is cranked saturation pop art, this black cherry is in an edgy contemporary gallery. The wine note is strong but doesn't overstay its welcome like some red wine scents that just seem like you spilled it on yourself do. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who can't deal with fruity scents but it's definitely not a childish fruity.

This is a pretty scent but the wine note mixed with frankincense is too much for me. I work with raw frank almost daily and I sense it here overpowering the cherry. Which is fine! I was just hoping for a heavy cherry scent vs incense. Plus the red wine makes this scent go too perfumey leading to an alcohol overdose. Again, I'm glad the notes are conveyed so well! Maybe, I can layer this with a homeade cherry tincture. Tried again today and it's harsh. I'm in the bathtub scrubbing this off as we speak. Yikeesssss
