Floral Rose

**Second Update** I woke up, and more than twelve hours after spraying, I could still smell this softly on me. This is incredible! I have never found a cheapie that lasts THIS long and is this strong. **Update** After my shower, I reapplied. It has now been 9 and a half hours with only a few squirts, and this potent magical elixir is still going strong. This stuff is a BEEEEAST. I couldnt love it more!!!! I ordered this after seeing someone in the Fragrantica forums singing its praises on the Affordable Arabians thread started by DrugstoreClassics. (and thank you for starting that, btw..I love it most of alI) I think maybe it was section 13 (now closed) but cant remember for sure. Anyway, what got me hooked was that this woman (this wonderful angel of truth, whose name I cant remember, but I hope she sees this and hears my HUGE THANK YOU) spoke up on someone else's question in that thread, and said this fragrance is her favorite because its a budget friendly, dark, fruity, jammy rose. Welllll, thats my JAM! (hah, see what I did there? "Jam"?!) I looked it up, found it was less than $4 online, and decided what the heck, I was ordering from this company that was selling it anyway, and I figured I could spare $4 on a wild chance so I put it in my cart, finished the order and paid. A week later, here it is! (with all the rest of my nummy goodies, which I havent even gotten to experiment with yet because I cannot get past this wonderful gem) First off, the packaging is awesome. It comes in a small cylindrical cardboard tube like Pink Sugar, only smaller. Very well made packaging, made to last. Im definitely going to keep mine to store in so that no light affects it. I popped the classy silver seal on the lid, opened it and inside was the cutest small bottle (its curvy, to imitate a curvaceous woman's figure, maybe?) with a cool, metallic hot pink lid. My lid fits perfectly, and there is zero leakage. The bottle is easy to hold, comfortable in the hand, not slippery or tricky like some. (ahem - looking at you, Rihanna) I sprayed it (yeah, yeah, I know you need to let fragrances rest for a few days after being shipped, but its ADORABLE and I couldnt resist) and WOWSA!!!! I sprayed myself on the decolletage, once on the front of my pj top and once on each forearm. That was almost 6 hours ago. The sillage and longevity of this stuff is beast mode. I swear, hand to heart, absolutely beast mode. Not only that, its DELICIOUS! Every time I move, I get these delicious wafts of the most gorgeous jammy, velvety dark fruity gorgeous rose I have ever smelled. I think my search for the ultimate rose fragrance (in my opinion, at least) is OVER. I am so happy about this stuff, I went back to the website and put 3 more in my basket and I will probably be buying at least half a dozen depending how quickly I blow through this small, precious bottle. I wish they came in a bigger size. That is my ONE regret with this one. I am a believer that anyone of any age or gender can wear any fragrance, despite whatever the company says, or what the packaging claims. I do feel that this is definitely a feminine leaning scent, but if dark, sexy, sensuous, jammy, fruity rose is your thing, spray ON, Honey!! I cant wait to wear this out somewhere because I bet Im going to hear compliments. Until I review something else, my heart is full of happy humming... for less than $4. And thats a Very Good Thing. This is an all thumbs heartily up, cheering "do it!" from the sidelines vote of confidence from me.

I bought Orientica’s ‘Floral Rose’ on the recommendation that it’s like Rasasi’s ‘Mukhallat Al Oudh’ (a sophisticated and complex rose masterpiece) but sadly, the only resemblance is the red, velvety rose element. It reminds me of a spray version of Al Rehab’s ‘Tooty Musk’. It’s so red, jammy, fruity and sweet. It’s like a Victoria’s Secrets body spray - flimsy, feminine, immature but fun. I appreciate that it’s oil-based, as it leaves a slight oil residue after spraying. It’s fun in the sun so I’m spraying it lavishly (since it’s so affordable) whilst I sit and enjoy my garden. I smell like a red wine gum, but it’s a fun change for the day. Edit: I’ve just put on the jumper I was wearing when I sprayed this yesterday, and it smells amazing. On fabric, the dry-down (and longevity) is heavenly. I wish it smelt like this from the start. Now this does remind me of the blood red velvety rose that is ‘Mukhallat Al Oudh’. In my excitement, I’ve just sprayed it on me again and I’m covered in what I can only describe as ‘Rasasi for Hello Kitty’ meets red wine gums. I think if it didn’t have the strawberry and sugar notes which makes this just too childishly sweet, then it would be perfect. I noticed the rosemary note for the first time in the opening which is lovely. At least the day 2 dry-down is worth it, as it matures like a fine wine. I’m trying not to be obsessed but it keeps drawing me back in. An interesting scent to be self isolating with. Edit: I’ve been wearing this for 5 months and it’s become my summertime lockdown scent. With 10 sprays on fabric, the rosemary and tarragon come through to herbalise the sweet and juicy red roses and strawberry. I’ve grown to love it and I’m ordering my second bottle. When it’s so ridiculously affordable, you feel no guilt keeping it in your work handbag to use liberally. My gloriously happy, sunshine-filled, lockdown summer garden scent.

This is a very sweet, dark rose scent. I really don't detect any rosemary, tarragon, pineapple, etc. It took me a while to place what scent it reminded me of. I feel that it is very, very similar to the Rasasi Mukhallat Al-Oudh, but a tiny bit heavier and darker with the rose. It's a very pretty rose scent that is very versatile. I like them both, and I have them both. However, it's unlikely that you truly need both in your collection. This is a very strong, very affordable offering. And, I prefer the spray to the oil. But, if you prefer something that is going to sit closer to your skin, the Rasasi oil is going to be preferable.

A lovely, sugary rose scent. I can't stand the smell of roses, but in this case I can say that it is really nice. When I smell this perfume, it's like I see a bowl full of rose petals crushed with sugar.

I call it a "grandma scent" :D Very vintage, a bit cheap, like something you would get from a market in 90s. Smells like old aunties. I can totally see why it might be offputting for some people. I actually like it, it's not my favourite (not even close to top 10) but I like to use it sometimes, it's kinda nostalgic (I'm not an old auntie by any means haha, it's more like memories of childhood to me).

Imagine the most outdated rose smell possible and you have this. I wanted so much a perfume to have the rose smell predominant but looks like i don't like it, actually. It's too straight forward artificial rose. Who put in the section of "reminds me of" "Atomic rose" did not smell that one. They have nothing in common. Zero. It smells cheap (it is cheap haha..), dated and just like an artificial, failed attempt to recreate a rose smell. Yayks...

This is a vintage smelling rose, very dense and thick in texture. I get no sweetness at all on my skin. Amazing longevity and sillage. Interesting fragrance for a great price, unfortunately, not my cup of tea.
