Rival

A pleasant, fresh oriental from Oriflame. It's amazing how violet and coffee create a unique masculine aroma. Neither of them are strong, Rival can be used in summer as well. Oriflame official homepage says Rival contains a special note, called "vu-huong". Wow...I did not know what this mysterious note could be. Searching on the web I've found that it's a southeastern-asian plant (Cinnamomum balansae) which has a special camphoraceous volatile oil. I don't know..in Rival it gives a balsamic effect and makes it fresh. Longevity and sillage are around the average and I found it works better in humid ,warmer weather. It would be a super-good creation in edp concentration but for the price it's a very good deal.

Rival is not warm spicey, but even more cool spicey, airy, transparent and elegant, very nice but very weak scent. It is perhaps "aquatic" also, but without any calone-type fruity-ness. It's similar a bit to Azzaro Visit, but Visit is more cedary and warmer, Rival has more anise and more something that santal-ish. Violet is subtle and about the same amount in both. I like the scent, but the weakness is a shame. Despite for that or rather due for that, it is perfect for an office use. Thanks to Mr. Dadier!

A pleasant, clean scent. Shirt unbuttoned, warmer weather ... Fresh, masculine atmosphere with exotic ingredients. Everyday use beautifies everyday! And even more impressive scent as well! I love the coffee refreshing scents that affect me and provides a masculine, well groomed presence! A great cocktail!

I really like the smell of this EDT by Oriflame. it smells really fresh. I smell the scent of the violet leaf and it is really calming. I like it.

Very soapy but spice notes are good. Not for me but can be good for daily usage. Good choice in woody summer fragrances.
