Ok... after the initial strong saffron burst I was ready to write it off because saffron for me is up there with oud, violet, lavender and rose I can’t usually stand when they come too strong in a perfume. But then... in settled into an oriental leaning, sweet patchouli-amber. Such a cozy fall scent. It has a lot in common with Brompton Immortals but this one is a tad more vanilla and maybe more feminine, but they are auper close. I love it. Will go through my 10 ml and may get a full bottle!

This is gorgeous! I came across this in Selfridges today and this is the best among the exclusive collection and also the most stunning one in all recent releases. It is perfect for winter and this is a leather-saffron scent.

This is beautiful and I was willing to pay shipping from Selfridges to the US. It falls in good company with other saffron/leather scents but has a distinct quality that is creamy and almost edible. It does not smell like coconut but somehow that’s what it reminds me of in its overall impression on the dry down. I don’t like gendering scents but it does fall more feminine than some other leather/saffron fragrances for sure.

Avoid this dull middle-eastern zombie 1D fruity musk. Most, if not all, store-exclusive perfumes especially from Ormonde Jayne are like that: dull for cash grabs.

To My nose this smells like initio side effect done better. I own side effect and was surprised how good this was!
