Rivière Bleue

Rivière Bleue is part of the fragrances launched by O.U.i that aim to reach the male audience and was released as a Special Edition inspired by the River Seine (La Seine), with its almost 800km extension. The creative concept addresses the idea of a water mirror formed in this “Blue River”, which reflects the soul of the city of Paris. The key ingredients of the fragrance are cardamom, at the output; leaves of violets, in the heart; cedar and sandalwood, in the base. And it still has an accord of spicy notes, which we identify on the box as Geraniol, Isoeugenol, and Coumarin (compounds of spicy, aromatic, and even floral facets, widely used in fougères and oriental fragrances, for example). Rivière Bleue is surprisingly simple and ordinary while being extraordinarily captivating and pleasant. The union of cardamom with violet leaves does not usually go wrong, as this successful formula has been used before and the results have worked fine. And here we have a note of cardamom (whose resinous and camphorated nuances were explored to the fullest) combined with violet leaves of sweeter and slightly powdery aspect, which brought a result more similar to the one that occurs when using the absolute. On my skin, the fragrance also brings an effect that reminds me of suede and that lasts throughout its evolution. And all of this leads to a creamy and slightly almondy drying that works really well on these fall days, which tend to get chilly in the morning and evening but get stuffy in the middle of the day. In addition, it conveys professionalism, sophistication, and explores a more romantic, I would even say sensitive side. As with Paradis Rouge, Rivière Bleue is also a Special Edition and features an illustration on the side of the box. Its bottle has been painted in midnight blue, which is easily revealed when put against the light. Thierry de Baschmakoff's design was kept, respecting the visual identity. And I think it's worth confirming that its color doesn't symbolize the style of the fragrance, but the creative concept. It's not a marine or fruity composition, let's be clear! Rivière Bleue is a woody-spicy scent with many herbal nuances and timeless elegance. If you like fragrances that belong to the spectrum where Narciso Rodriguez for Him, Mercedes-Benz for Men, or Lalique Hommage a L'Homme are found, for example, then chances are great that you will be enchanted by this creation. Well, at least I am!

This is bad. My girlfriend's mom is a Boticario's re-seller and she got a lot of these perfumes for avaliation, and this is, for sure, the worst of those. It smells cheap, for me, it smells BAD, and it is way overpriced for what it's worth, if i said i liked it, i'd be lying. The cardamom takes over much of the essence's opening and it isn't amusing, at all. It just smells like wet dirt, but not in a good way. O.U.I has some pricey perfumes, but some of them really give back the investment you do, but this one, is just a very bad Coffee Man.
