Brandied Pear

Gorgeously made - maybe just teetering over the unisex line to one for the ladies more so but as a guy I love it. Bright and fresh to start with a teeny bit of lemon over the top of sweet juicy pear. Very quickly a touch of banana helps body out the pear. A slightly greeness develops after five minutes when the volume in the other scents softens stopping my brain from registering this as a synthetic candy scent. The musk is forgiving just barely regestering and adding a touch more texture. The vanilla is so well blended with the pear and banana I’m not sure it’s even there. By far the best Pear scent and completely ungeneric (?) - yes I do loathe you Montale - with thank god not a whiff of rose, carnation or powdery cake sensation. My only issue is occasionally the banana sends a whiff overriding everything and the longevity on me is quite poor - 2-3 hours. But when it works best -what an awesome treat. If you like gourmand or Pear you have to try this! This and Slumberhouse Pear and Olive are the top shelf pear scents.

I agree with the reviewers that it is in fact, slightly synthetic. I think the banana note might be responsible for it. It is, however, still a very beautiful and gorgeous pear. The pear opens up bright, dewy, slightly ripe and a bit sweet. The vanilla in the background amplifies the fragrance and makes it intense. This is definitely a very strong fruity fragrance and I agree that it is quite sharp and edgy. It does not remind me of "tropical" cheap scents by Bath & Body Works, nor does it remind me of complicated "niche" fruit fragrances like Draco by Tiziana Terenzi (Draco has a way more intense musky base), and it's not as "herbal" as the Diptyque's fruity perfumes like Philosykos. I personally from pear scents, prefer the Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc, or the BDK pear interpretation or the one by LV called Cœur Battant. Those pears are slightly less edgy and more well-blended, in my opinion.

Exactly what it says in the description. Juicy Brandied pears aged in barrels with slight touch of fruity notes to support the pear. full bottle worthy. Indeed the best pear fragrance with pear note. Panah is killing it with every new release. Can’t wait to try icy citrus now.

As a pear lover (not kidding, in the summer and early fall you will not be able to walk past my fruit basket without seeing at least a couple varieties) I am actually really, really impressed with this. It's bright, green, juicy, extremely fresh, bordering on photorealistic to my nose. And amazingly, it retains that juicy sharpness throughout the entirety of it's impressive wear time. I already have a few bottles of other fragrances from Panah on their way to me, but I have a feeling it won't be long before I pick up a full bottle of this one, too. It will be beautiful in high summer.

It smells like the fruit section at a supermarket. Slightly overripe fruit. I love it. My partner says I smell like a box of brown bananas but I don't care :D

I wasn't a fan. Just something smelled very synthetic about it. I wish I could give a better description. If you want fruity (along the lines of say like Viva la juicy or marc Jacob's perfect) don't think you'll like this. The more I smell it it almost smells kind of soapy. I think the reviewer below is kinda spot on about the pear potpourri thing. I smell all the notes but not in a good way.

Ob my I hated it. It smells like artificial cleaning product, I’m so sorry but it’s just not good and the price tag is definitely not worth it.

The pear smells way too fresh, like a bathroom air freshener cone

Had to go scrub this after 20 minutes. It’s not getting any better. Smells like a cheap cleaning product! VERY artificial. Ick!

This one kinda broke my heart a little. Right out of the vial it's an incredibly fresh and realistic pear, and I get a touch of the banana and ylang. The moment I smelled it I clicked "want!" But then only a few minutes later the drydown changes everything. Brandied Pear veers into waxy bathroom-candle territory. The fresh and tart edge of the pear is lost and it turns into a pear potpourri that has perhaps sat in a bowl on the table too long, with just a dash of drugstore body spray nuance. Really a shame because that opening is so pretty.

Very nice pear scent. Vibrant, juicy, fresh! the banana note is very subtle. It feels like a nice shower gel or shampoo. No complexity, no mistery, just plain and pretty ripe pears! little bit synthetic but not too difficult to tolerate. No nasty ambroxan here. I like it and I would wear it if given as a gift. But I won't buy a full bottle. For a natural smelling pear, my favorite is Anick Goutal Petite Cherie.
