Osmanthus Noir

I’ve seen the ad and been waiting for this perfume to start selling and blind bought it. Unfortunately or not, this is absolutely not what I have imagined. The pirámide here and what they advertise are different; I don’t hear any Osmanthus flower per se. At first I hear strong apricot and some spicy note, that doesn’t not closely resemble but still reminds me of some bug spray. Maybe it is the olive? I’m not sure. I maybe hear the Osmanthus flower sometimes, but it is so elusive I can’t tell for sure. I tried wearing in cold and in warm weather, could find any significant difference in the notes that I hear. I also can’t tell that the fragrance is changing much while wearing; the thing with this perfume is I can’t fully understand what I’m hearing. This is an interesting fragrance. I don’t have anything like this in my collection. I might have bought anyway if I were able to test it before, but it’s not the Osmanthus scent I hoped for. Upd. After wearing this fragrance for a week now, I must say I like it a lot. I do hear the flower in the mid pyramid and the dry down is very pleasant. The projection is medium to strong, and the funny thing is that other people might hear absolutely different notes that I do at the same time. I’m comparing to a few other Osmanthus frangances I’ve tried, this one is the most interesting.
