Yosi Break, a 2023 release by perfumer Edriel Basinang, is part of Parfums Astraux's Own Blends collection. I love how this line captures Filipino experiences. Yosi Break, true to its name, is a unique spin on tobacco scents, reminding me of those sneaky office smoke breaks. The combination of heavy tobacco and sweet oud is mesmerizing. I pick up hints of sticky apple, making it a truly unique scent. Yosi Break's sensory journey is for the bold, offering an addictive freshness with mossy undertones. The amber dry-down provides a warm, comforting finish. Polarizing. Alluring.

I got this bottle after getting the discovery set. It somehow reminds me of MM Jazz Club, but it's more leathery and smoky. It's very warm and has a sweet tobacco note to it, perfect for the colder weather. I'm a female and I find the scent to be leaning masculine, but I still wear it whenever I want to feel like a girl boss, haha! Sometimes I'm torn between this and BGC. For me, Yosi Break is like BGC with added tobacco and warmth. It projects very well and lasts around 6-8 hours on my clothes.

Ah yes, everyone’s crowd favorite Yosi Break. Although it is my personal Top 2, I personally understand the hype behind it. Such an alluring sweet woody tobacco scent without feeling like you’re smelling the smoke of a cigarette you didn’t light. I’m glad I gave in when I had the opportunity to purchase it. It also has the Pinoy mass appeal that my Tita who isn’t a fan of cigarettes, also finds it smelling nice.

Smells like unlit local cigarette in the Philippines when you sniff it directly inside the packet with a mix of amber nuisance & candy like sweetness in the background with heavy smokiness to it as it dries down. It is really a good local frag in the Philippines and It deserves the recognition it is gathering right now in the local niche category perfume in the Philippines. More power to Parfums Astraux!

What can I say, this is Pinoy excellence. Smells exactly like cigarettes and menthol candy. Perfoms well too and brings back so many memories. It is really strong so you might give yourself and others a headache but this fragrance made me hopeful in this local brand. 8/10

one of the best Filipino creations. the oud is balanced and extremely sweet. the green and amber complex opening. nonlinear and well blended. one caveat is that it projects as photorealistic ‘nga-nga’

This smells really good and well-blended. If you're in the Philippines, you know this is the best tobacco fragrance there is. Great value for its price.

This reminds me of a hint, super little bit hint of Noir 29. It feels like I'm in a temple of Chinese way back AD times.

Performance on my skin is average, lasting approximately 2-4 hours with 3-4 sprays, though it performs slightly better on clothing. My skin chemistry, particularly in humid climates, tends to diminish fragrance longevity. The sillage is initially strong, filling a room, but can become overwhelming with excessive application. It settles to a more moderate projection within 2-4 feet, making it suitable for enclosed spaces. The initial projection is above average, but it becomes less pronounced as the fragrance dries down, maintaining a presence within conversational distance. This is not a loud, attention-grabbing fragrance, but rather a subtle, everyday option. I recommend Yosi Break to those who appreciate ambery fragrances with a slightly sweet citrus opening, a smooth ambery tobacco accord, and restrained oud and woody notes, particularly for office or air-conditioned settings. It shares similarities with fragrances like Jazz Club or By the Fireplace, but with a less sweet, intense, and woody profile. If you enjoy Tobacco Vanille or Red Tobacco, imagine a lighter version with reduced tobacco and sweetness. In summary, Yosi Break is a well-crafted, balanced fragrance with a smooth ambery tobacco profile. Its versatility makes it a suitable choice for various occasions, particularly in controlled environments. While it may not appeal to those seeking a strong, woody oud fragrance, its subtle elegance and appealing opening make it a worthwhile addition to a fragrance wardrobe.
