Bod Man Really Ripped Abs

Bod Man: Really Ripped Abs! What a goofy name, but for me, I love this body spray! Is it synthetic? Absolutely! I love how fresh and clean it smells - Really Ripped Abs has this powerful citrus bite right up top, and I totally dig it! Its refreshing on a hot day or after a cool shower, and for me its an easy reach usually while working out or running the short errand. For less than ten dollars for an eight ounce bottle, its a steal - Really Ripped Abs has great performance and longevity. I know Bod Man gets a lot of hate, and its understandable: from the somewhat silly names to the iconic windex-esque spray bottle, it's easy to see why these body sprays are so overlooked! I've got quite a collection of fragrances and to me, I really enjoy collecting these Bod Man sprays when they release new ones. There are quite a few hidden gems in the line! If you've overlooked these in your local Walmart or drugstore, maybe give them a shot. Yeah, they're cheap body sprays, but for an easy to wear casual fragrance, many of them aren't terrible: several have even garnered a few compliments here and there. It's a shame more aren't listed on Fragrantica. Really nice value for its price, nice clean fresh scent, mostly lavender, followed by a slighter note of tangerine and orange, great for summer and spring. Now it is important to note this is a body spray, therefore it won't last as long or have as nice longevity as a regular EDT, I'd say it's longevity quite decent tho, about 3 hours on skin and maybe past the 4th mark on clothes, as for the sillage it seems quite strong when freshly applied, but after a while it goes down to moderate. Nice fragrance indeed and a total steal for its price, looking forward to try more from BOD; if you're into something a little sweeter I'd recommend checking out BOD Black and BOD Lights Out.

I bought this for my guy a couple of years ago (and occasionally wear it myself in humid weather). He loves it so much that he recently bought two bottles at the CVS "BOGO" sale. The name is silly, but actually it's a really good scent. It does NOT smell like Windex. This is a very clean, fresh, mostly citrus scent which is ideal for after showering on a hot day. Not fancy, but a great everyday fragrance for when you want to keep that just bathed feeling. Surprisingly long-lasting with decent sillage. I generally like the BodMan line, cheap but they don't smell cheap.

Very long lasting. 12+ hours. Great musky scent with geranium, lavender and sage. Closest thing to Swiss Army edt. A must buy.

BOD Perfumes are great. Good price point to get ur teenagers into Perfumes.

I agree with the other reviews, synthetic fresh and a safe blind buy. To me, this smells very familiar, the lavender notes remind me of Cool Water, but it overall smells more similar to Curve/ Lucky You with the top notes. Definitely a clean, cheap, fresh, timeless scent. Inoffensive and great to keep in the car to freshen up.

Really solid for the price. The scent itself is fresh and 'clean', reminiscent of Windex, yes, but only the first hour or so, and not necessarily in a bad way. I wouldn't quite call it a fougère fragrance, but it's very close. Longevity is 4ish hours, which is head and shoulders above anything else at this price point.

I like Fresh Blue Musk more than this guy here, but still, this isn't bad. The name though...I mean, wow! 😂 You know what though? I've been known to wear goofy stuff too if it smells good, there's 0 judgment from me 😊 That being said ^, Really Ripped Abs seems like it's trying to be as clean as possible. It combines the musk of this brand alongside some aggressive citrus, and overt aromatics. I truly don't know what any of these smell like exactly, they're all perfumery tones as opposed to clear notes. It's synthetic musk, herbaceous cleanness, and strong citrus. That's about it. It projects well, but you'll definitely need to reapply if you expect it to last. Decent for the price! I enjoy it on my husband, but it's not really a head turner. It makes a good gym fragrance (he wears it to jiu-jitsu).

Opening is a cheap, watered down Davidoff Cool Water, dry down smells a bit like Lentheric Solo Ice. Definitely a teenage high school scent, just to kick it up a notch from a regular deodorant. Disappears within an hour. I personally wouldn't waste my money on it.

I remember getting this for christmas in middle school. I smelled it and realized its what my crush wore. Kinda got the ick cuz his cologne was called "really ripped abs"

Received this as a valentine's gift in high school. Used it once, did not like it, and it's still full on the shelf. Not for me, 4/10.

This, friends, is a perfume after my taste. Not because of the scent as much as the packaging, though. It’s by far the dumbest perfume I own. Because the name is dumb. And the bottle is dumb. And the scent becomes dumb because of the latter two. And you know what? I love it. To specify slightly, the name is obviously the lamest thing we’ve all ever heard, and I personally appreciate it greatly. Perfumery tends to be a bit of a pretentious concept, and it’s rather refreshing to sometimes find a scent that makes you smell like you’ve got really ripped abs, and the name of the scent discloses that with no hoity toity bullshit. Looks like a bottle of window cleaner, it’s called “really ripped abs”, and guess what? That’s the most accurate way to present this. It has that fresh “I do crunches 87% of my awake time” smell, it’s nice without being offensive, makes you smell a bit like a douchebag, and sometimes that’s really quite nice, you know. In short, there’s nothing about this fragrance I don’t like. Citrusy opening (a quite powerful citrus might I add), slightly spicy on dry down, turns musky after a while, but not the kind of musk that makes you seem like you should have a giant moustache. Just enough to make you feel slightly amped for the day. Longevity is pretty solid I’d say. Lasts most of the day on me. And the sillage is quite something until it dries down, which isn’t that much of a problem as its opening is very inoffensive; once it moves on from the citrus bomb, it stops taking over the room. To me that’s the ideal kind of sillage. All in all, this is a solid 7/10, I wear it when I’m feeling a bit manic and wanna keep that energy. And then I’m amused for the day whenever I remember the name of the scent.

edit: after my rather passionate rant here lol, I realized this might be closer to a clone of CK Eternity. This is a clone of Chanel Platinum Egoiste. I’m not saying it smells as good or is “90% close”. But this is NOT cool water or whatever lol. This is Egoiste dna. It’s “90% close” to Armaf Legesi or something. Smells great imo either way. I found this scent because I smelled it on my cousin and thought it was PE. He told me his dirty little secret so I decided to go to my local grocery store and make sure I wasn’t crazy. I’m not. Some of these reviews and comparisons are tho.

I could have sworn back in the day it smelled good but now it smells very faint and it reminds me of the smell of Windex. It's still a clean smell but don't expect something high quality for the price. It's cheap enough to be thrown in a gym bag and since it's sillage and longevity is minimal it's not something that will poison the air if you spray it too generously.

Found at Big W (Australian equivalent of Wal-Mart) for $10. At that price, I thought, “Why not?”. The opening is pungent, and the dry down is forgettable. It’s better than nothing... only just. Bod Blue Surf (not listed here), on the other hand, is a beautiful and cheap copy of Cool Water.

I first noticed this at Walmart in 2015. I thought the name was hilarious, and told my little cousin about it. I asked, "what would really ripped abs even smell like?" And we both replied in unison "like sweat." Seriously, who came up with this name?

It was on the bottom shelf of the fragrance section at Walmart. That really says a lot
