Mātangi

Fragrances have always been a point of referential memory for me. You smell a whiff of it and you are instantly transported back to a latent memory. MATANGI, instantly took me back to a time when I was a school kid, tagging along with my folks to visit the South of India during my vacation. We visited a smattering of relatives, but also made it a point to visit some magnificent temples. One of them was the Madurai Meenakshi temple, where I had one of my first truly spiritual experiences of calm, warmth and the familiar presence of a being, greater than us. The whiffs of Jasmine, Ylang Ylang(one of my favorite notes), the earthiness of the Vetiver and others, percolated my senses and comforted me. MATANGI does that to me, every time I want to feel 'CENTERED' in this current melee of controlled chaos. Love it!

This one is Masterpiece from the brand, from the two variants which i tried this and ushira. Perfumer has really worked hard on this composition from scratch i can say that. Opens with bubble gummy floral note probably from ylang ylang, after 5 mins moves towards heart of Jasmine along with bit of incense and other materials. Overall its really complex scent, but it reminds me of spiritual temple like place filled with incense, jasmine garlands. All i can say is it does justice to its name.... Lasting on this one is amazing, stays whole day. Projection too is excellent... Must buy for indolic floral lovers....

A most fabulous this one. It takes its time in the opening, almost as if the notes are uncoiling themselves. And then the florals swirl up to envelope you in a fragrant cloud. Post the opening (I am unable to identify the listed Ylangs), Orange Blossom and Jasmine dominate henceforth. While this may sound feminine, I believe the execution is fairly unisex. It lasts a good 9 hours. And then gradually and sweetly fades away. A very good buy this one. Most recommended. Note: You got nothing from the skin, but you can easily detect the perfume cloud around you. It seems Parfums KH has mastered this trick.

Own two fragrance from Parfums Karmic Hues, Matangi is a beautiful unique floral fragrance.. Its complex and got a beautiful note shift.. Great work by the creator..

I purchased this as a sample. Happily I applied the perfume this morning before work. I instantly liked it. I sensed the jasmine, orange blossom and ylang ylang. I made my long commute to work (from the bedroom to my in home office) and walked past my husband. After I made it past him he called me back to him and said "Uh, I don't know what you put on but I don't like it. Please don't wear it again." :>( So, to keep peace in the home I won't be wearing this again. Even though I liked it I love my husband more. :>) I would recommend it and I would agree that it's unisex.
