Pineapple Vintage X Batch

This is what Sauvage should have been and it's bizarre that Dior didn't release something like X Batch with the new EDP version. X Batch has a zesty pineapple and blackcurrant opening with a touch of sweetness which is in abundance to dominate the underlying Sauvage Base. This zesty fruitiness goes through to the mid where the Aventus and Sauvage accords surprisingly harmonise to produce something which appears to be a people pleaser given the compliments which result when I wear this. Good Projection and I can't wait to wear this one in the summer.

I received a sample of this along with PVI. Love PVI and got myself a bottle of that. This one smells terribly generic, mainly because Sauvage smells terribly generic. To me this is 90% Sauvage with a pineapple top note that is short lived but makes it more interesting and less linear than Sauvage. As said, its terribly generic....however I do like it and hate myself for liking it. Its like liking a Beiber song - you shouldn't like it, but I do. There you go, I said it! Ended up getting myself a bottle of this too

I like this scent very much it's sauvage edp with pineapple but that also changes the dry down as well, it's similar / familiar but it still smells different 8.9/10 imo, this is a twist on Sauvage but it's not youthful in any way, this is a mature frag and even though the citrus is pleasing, this isn't playful. This is straight up "I'm here, I am a Man and confident about myself, so much so that I can wear pineapple in my frag and you won't think it's feminine at all" lol

Pineapple and black currant of Aventus + Bergamot and Ambroxan of Sauvage = Dynamite! This is a love it or hate it fragrance and I love it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; and that's what Pineapple Vintage scents are... not clones... but flattery. Besides, Parfums Vintage scents are too expensive to be clones in my book! Let the snobs hate while the compliments accumulate.

Love the smell of this more than Aventus or Sauvage by themselves. Unfortunately this has poor performance for me and I like the smell of this more than the intense version.

Amazing fragrance. Compliment factor from women is off the charts. I like this way more than Dior Sauvage with the added pineapple and high quality ingredients.

This opens with the familiar pineapple of Parfums Vintage, which is always great. Within about 10 minutes the Dior Sauvage scent takes center stage. Unlike other offerings from Parfums Vintage this performs just average. Emperor EDP literally lasts 20 hours in my skin with a couple feet projection for about 10-12 hours. The pineapple scent sits in the background for several hours. It’s nice and won’t offend anyone. But I much prefer Pineapple Intense or Emperor. When my sample is gone I won’t buy a full bottle. I will be buying a bottle of Intense or Emperor (or both). Rating 7/10

This is similar to Sauvage, but more smooth. It does have some Aventus-like notes, but they're primarily top notes, there is no Aventus DNA here. I prefer this to Sauvage, and actually sold my bottle of Sauvage after getting this... but honestly, I don't get as much wear out of it as I thought I would. It's a solid frag, 8/10, but it's almost as if it's been played out before it even arrived.

Good to see this finally on the database. Very pleasant fragrance that leans more to Sauvage than Aventus. I actually think it smells a bit better than Sauvage because i sometimes get like a baby wipe kinda vibe from Sauvage but with this one, that is gone and it feels more fresh. Super versatile too- any season will work for this.

Great fragrance, as they say is exactly a mix between Sauvage and Aventus (70% / 30%). The only problem is the longevity and the projection. Hope they release a “real” Eau de Parfum concentration.

Very nice scent it starts off like Pineapple Vintage intense not for long and then you get mostly Dior sauvage, on me the performance is Ok but not great. 7/10. next up X-Batch intense i guess!!!

This is the only way to get me to enjoy EDT Sauvage. I guess you win PV.

On the surface of it, Parfums Vintage is just another clone house claiming to use higher quality ingredients than that of it's middle eastern counterparts. However, in recent times I feel they've really uncovered their gap in the market. What PV are doing by emulating specific iterations of various frags - eg. early/smokey Aventus batches, vintage Millesime Imperial, original formula La Nuit De L'Homme, etc. - is answering a specific demand for original formula strength that the original houses no longer develop. And they're doing it with finesse. This frag is an interesting interpretation, blending dominant notes from arguably the two most acclaimed fragrances in the designer and niche world right now respectively. Opens with a syruppy pineapple that PVI/Aventus is renowned for, with the woody ambroxan and bergamot undertone from Sauvage. Pops off the skin nicely in waves for around an hour and a half. As this fragrance develops, the pineapple will gradually blend into the composition and, somewhat oddly, a strong cedar appears after around 3 hours. It feels to me like this is competing with the ambroxan and makes it smell somewhat 'ashy'. The fruits and florals are but a supporting cast at this stage. As a point of comparison, I tested it against Sauvage (from which it bares most similarities in the latter stages). Interesting to note that bergamot features much more prominently, and for a longer duration into the drydown, than in X Batch. There will be minimal projection after the 3 hour mark, but it will linger as a skin scent for around 8 hours. In all honesty, I have both Aventus and Sauvage and enjoy each of them more on their own merits than as any joint iteration. That being said, this is still a good fragrance, which peaks in the first 3 hours after application. Afterwards you're mostly going to get rugged woody notes competing against each other. I like to think of this as the antithesis of sweet fragrances - it is exceedingly fresh and woody, even with the fruity opening considered.

Crisp, aromatic pineapple following Sauvage EDT. Simply put. The difference between X-Batch and X-Batch Intense is X-Batch is more pineapple forward, while X-Batch Intense has more of an ambergris-like Sauvage body in the middle, and dries down a bit differently than X-Batch... I believe it's a matter of what fragrances settle down to the base, considering these are both items that are very flighty -- being citric-centric scents, and all. Back up bottle worthy for the summer!! Has a hard time performing outside of warmer weather, hotter climates, I find -- but, hence the back up!

This fragrance smell very well. It has a nice sweet accord all throughout its lifetime. It opens up sweet and the dry-down is sweet. The first hour of spraying two pumps of it smells incredible and the aroma jumps off your skin. I really have to concentrate and look for the smell after 2 hours. Its such a good smell but I just wish it lasted longer. *side note*- The liquid inside the bottle gets soapy-looking with bubbles as if there was actual soap in the liquid, unlike my other fragrances

I am in the UK - near this UK based company and ordered this, along with Emerald Isle & PV intense, 3 weeks ago. Nothing has arrived. I have contacted them twice regarding this & received no reply. Please take this into account - their service & customer service is terrible. I am having to spend precious time getting my money back which they are thus far seem to be refusing to do. Terrible company - unlike Alexandria fragrances whom I ordered from 5 days ago and has already arrived.

Well, this fragrance is a bit pointless to review. It is way too short lived to bother with. The phases and changes of other scents take hours, this is like it's on fast forward so what you discover when you first smell it and decide what potential it has all disappears. Within an hour it's gone through its full development and yet 75% of the smell has just gone. Oh well. Potential 7/10, real world sorry but 0/10 as it doesn't perform and is hence useless.

If you like Sauvage or aventus this is right up your alley. It def shares similarities between the two, bouncing back-and-forth between the two throughout it’s development. Performance isn’t amazing, about 3 hours which for the price could be better. Overall a solid scent from PV. I have ample samples to trade if this as well as 5 other scents from this house if anyone’s interested. Message me

Why do people have the habit of comparing anything with a Pineapple note to Aventus? This smells nothing like Aventus. This pretty much smells like Luna Rossa Carbon with Pineapple added in the opening. I've compared the two side-by-side and laughed. Glad I only purchased a sample. Save yourself some money, buy Luna Rossa Carbon and Pineapple Demeter to achieve the same result.

This is a great blend between the scents of 2 power house fragrances! Truly this is clash of the titans! I think this house did a great job with meshing Sauvage with Pineapple Vintage/Aventus profiles. I am glad to have 2 bottles because one wouldnt be enuff. I get very good performance and compliments with this too. I recommend giving it a try.
