Cake Temptations

I can understand why some people dislike this fragrance..... but I really think it smells good & here’s why. Body chemistry matters, that’s one. Two this sprays on super super sweet. It smells just like strawberry cake batter. Creamy and sweet. It then dries down into a beautiful strawberry bubblegum scent. Is it juvenile??? Yeah a tad bit. But if you’re young at heart I say go for it. It happens to smell like realistic strawberry 🍓bubblegum on me. And I enjoy that! It smells gourmandy & yummy. 😋 Fun , flilrty and Barbie. Kind of gives 90s Barbie dolls, when our toys were scented!!! Strawberry is in!!!! And for me this is a win 🏆

I blindly bought this based on all these bad reviews, and it really is as it gets! but I know my taste, and honestly, I really enjoy the combination of that sour milk and strawberry in the opening. I think it's the best thing about this scent; slightly repulsive and very attractive at the same time. I just wish it lasted a little longer. When that opening calms down, I also get something, which to my nose, is like "paint thinner and baked cake"...oh my, how delicious! 🤤 To me this smells like strawberry-creamcake from my childhood's garden party; sunny, sour and joyfull. You have been warned.

Genuinely so happy i blind bought this perfume, it smells just like a strawberry shortcake and im so obsessed!! The longevity and sillage are amazing for the prize, and honestly i couldnt be more happy about the perfume as a whole. Maybe a bit juvenile, but idrc.. It goes great with burberry her elixir, kayali yum marshmallow and eclaire btw :P At the moment the notes listed on fragrantica are not complete, the notes are top notes, fruity, gourmand, red fruits heart notes: milky, fruity, toasted base notes: sweet, fruity

It smells exactly like strawberry yoghurt, but I don’t smell any sourness, I love it. However, my sister immediately said: “ew, it smells sour.” So each nose is different. Nothing more and nothing less. Might smell too juvenile and simple for people that prefer more mature and complex perfumes. Irrelevant tip: I sprayed some Ellie Saab Le Parfum on myself which I extremely dislike, it stinks to me. I tried layering it with Cake Temptations and now I am OBSESSED!

Obsessed!!! This is a fruity,creamy,strawberry jolly rancher,yummy deliciousness!!! Random blind by on clearance for $17.99 at Burlington and I couldn’t be happier lol First time I wore this my husband was like omg you smell amazing! He says it smells like a strawberry shortcake/pound cake! If I see another bottle I’ll be buying it immediately....its that good! Longevity and sillage are moderate👍🏽

Yes. It does smell like strawberry yogurt. But not in a bad way at least on me. Can’t detect any sourness... guess it is a ph thing maybe but on me this smells amazing, complements non stop and that doesn’t happen too often.

It smells like a fruit cake, without the rum.

I completely fell in love with the cupcake bottle of Cake Temptations by Paris Corner when it first arrived. It is adorable and instantly caught my heart. My first spray, however, surprised me. The strawberry smelled quite artificial to my nose and I wasn’t sure this fragrance was for me. I set it aside for about two months and forgot about it. When I revisited it, I sprayed it into the air and fanned the mist toward my hand. Suddenly my hand smelled like pink fluffy heaven. The scent had softened beautifully and turned into a sweet, airy, ultra-feminine cloud. I ended up spraying it generously and layering it with Lattafa Badee Al Oud Sublime, which made a gorgeous combination. If you love soft, pink, girly perfumes, this one is pure fun. As a 55-year-old woman, I find myself moving away from heavier “grandmother” perfumes and falling in love with these playful, feminine scents again. Sweet, happy, and surprisingly long lasting.

This one is an odd one , i just opened mine and sprayed it in the air and was like wow this is amazing ... soo sweet and tasty , then i came here and was like "WHAT ? WHY PEOPLE HATE THIS THING" ? why everyone , after spraying it on my skin i got it , this fragrance is soooo good in the air but on my skin it has some spoiled fruit yogurt smell , somewhat sour ah , yeah im strating to dislike it although i will give it some time , what a bummer i actually really really loved it before spraying on my skin

It smells like opening a bag full of colorful gummy candies. I don’t really understand the name of the perfume, because it doesn’t smell like cake at all, it’s more like super-sweet jelly gummies, full of color and with that synthetic fruity sweetness. The bottle is very pretty, and it definitely belongs to the gourmand family since it has that edible, candy-like scent. The longevity is excellent: it lasts over 10 hours on clothes. Perfect for fall and winter.

Much better after macerating half a year. Berries swirled in a vanilla cake batter. Well blended and cohesive. Sweet but not frosting sweet. I could see wearing this now as a standalone. It has some depth, balance and complexity that many gourmands lack completely. Its airy, feminine and pretty. I can see where some would call it synthetic, but I like it. I could see wearing it on a day I want something creamy and sweet.

Extremely artificial and super synthetic. I can see why so many people don't like it. I do like it, but I happen to like a lot of artificial fruit scents and flavors. This reminds me of those Jello strawberry cheesecake cups. It definitely doesn't smell like perfume. I got a decant to try and I would only buy it if it dropped drastically in price. 45.00 is way too much for what this is, cute bottle or not.

I bought this after purchasing Creamy Biscuit and loving it. I was worried because there are a ton of negative reviews. When I tried it, I was ready for it to be terrible, but I actually like it. Yes, it is very super sweet and is not a scent that everyone will find appealing. It does kinda smell like a strawberry yogurt, but I really enjoy the sweetness. If you like super sweet, you will like this.

I have never smelled strawberry yoghurt drink from another country but if Thailand had a street drink that was made to be similar to strawberry yoghurt this is what I would imagine it would smell like. Not real strawberries, sort of a take on strawberry yoghurt drink that maybe has been left in the sun for a few hours. Has a bit of a sour vibe.

I get what people are saying about the strawberry yogurt, but on a paper test, I like it. It's sweet and feminine, some might say juvenile. That yogurt scent leads to the sour in the scent profile. There is a cake batter scent underneath. The box and container are both adorable! We'll see what happens with the scent when I do a skin test...

As someone who hates most gourmands, I took a gamble on this one.... and I love it! It's super sweet, artificial and fruity, almost like strawberry candy with a hint of citrus. To me it smells like a bag of fruity jelly beans or the artificial strawberry they put in kids toys.

When i first bought this, i got it because of the name. I was hoping for it to smell like a birthday cake. However upon smelling this one its got a weird fruitiness to it that I'm not really a big fan of. Its not overly bad to my nose, it just wasn't what i was hoping for lol

Smells like Tang fruit juice powder - which is also similar to popping candy. Yes artificial and you will be disappointed if you buy it expecting creamy strawberry pound cake. I don’t mind since I have a fairly large collection- something different, I may wear around the house or to bed sometimes.

I have to say that I agree with the strawberry yogurt comparison. It’s not bad per se, it’s just...not necessarily what one would expect from a 👏🏻cupcake👏🏻shaped👏🏻bottle👏🏻called👏🏻Cake👏🏻Temptation👏🏻 Found at Burlington for $17.29, and so I sold it on Mercari for $15.

Unfortunately this is a miss for me. The package is absolutely beautiful but the juice is a fail. As described it’s a very sweet smell that comes across synthetic and plastic like. The dry down for me is actually a little nauseating very chemical like...I feel like if they had added a lemon/ citrus note that would have broken things up and balanced it a little more. For me I cannot recommend unless you are just getting it for the bottle, I’m keeping it at this point just because of the bottle but l won’t be wearing it. I will try it again in a couple of months as there are suggestions it improves with time....we will see!
