Cherry Cola

This seems to be quite polarizing; my partner isn't a fan, but I can't get enough of it. It invokes Fentiman's Curiosity Cola for me, it has that specific spicy-sweet note that a lot of botanical-style cola variants possess. I suppose it's the cinnamon? It also has an amplified cherry-almond Dr Pepper note going on which I love. I bought a decant and was a little unimpressed by its projection at first, but it really grew on me over time and I ended up buying a full bottle. I also sampled Mancera Tonka Cola and while I also liked it, it didn't have enough going for it to justify spending multiple times the cost of the Emir. I also picked up French Avenue Zenith Vanilla after seeing it being compared to this, but they're quite different IMO. Zenith Vanilla is much less spicy, and is instead more powdery and dusty. If you're looking for a cola-adjacent scent that's more subtle and elegant, it might be worth looking into. I see myself using both interchangeably.

Cinnamon Cherry Coke. A little powdery on the dry down (in a pleasant way). I get vanilla almond as well, even tho almond isn’t in the notes. Leans more masculine imo. I gave it to my hubby to wear. Smells reminiscent to Obsession for men. It’s THAT kind of spicy. I was dying for a perfume with a Coca-Cola note so I ordered this one and Snif Soda Snob. They smell nothing alike. I much prefer this one. Both very Coke forward but this one blows Snif away. Not one I’d reach for every day but it’s nice when you want a warm but uplifting frag. I do get the masculine barbershop vibe on the dry down but I don’t have a problem with that. All in all I love this. It smells heavenly on my hubby. When he wears it, I just wanna bury my face in his neck. EDIT: I just layered this with a Dossier perfume called Free the Musk. The cinnamon cardamom in that one mixes very well with Cherry Cola. I smell verrrrry spicy.

You can smell the lemon citrus when first applied, but quickly after it dries down that freshness goes away and you’re left with a cherry cola with hints spicy cinnamon and nutmeg. It kind of reminds me of those Coke-A-Cola gummy candies as a kid. It’s not for everyone. I wouldn’t say spot on with a real cherry cola, but pretty similar. This is not an ice cold cherry cola, this has a warmth to it. It projects well and lasts all day. A heavy scent so best for cool/cold weather. I’ve gotten a couple compliments from friends and family when giving out hugs. (This is not a safe blind buy. Definitely unisex and may come off too masculine to some, so I recommend a sample first.) I got this for $45 before taxes on Amazon, but you could probably find it for cheaper on another site. Also the bottle is gorgeous and very good quality.

This was a blind buy for me - like all the rest of my Paris Corner perfumes - and it was another hit. Although I was a bit concerned because in the opening the Sicilian lemon was the most predominant note (and I am not a fan at all of citrusy/bergamot perfumes) along with Cola, which made me think this will be most suited for Summer time, in less than 5 minutes it settled into this amazing warm and sensual perfume, unlike anything I have ever smelled before. After the first notes dissipate, the true gem comes to light consisting in subtle cherry, warm tonka and vanilla, with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg, making this perfume ideal for autumn and winter. It is amazingly well blended and could very easily pass as a high end niche perfume. Wow, who would have thought that this would be one of my best buys...

As soon as I seen this, even before seeing any notes, I knew I had to have it. CC has been housed in the cold, dark closet since mid September. I fell instantly in love with this fragrance. It made me smile when it indeed smelled of Cherry Coke. Performance was not great at all, but has improved with sit time. The cherry is done so well in this, just sweet. The cola provides a fizzy effect. The cinnamon is the star for me. I find myself wanting to top off to smell the opening, mmm. The dry down is slightly powdery I believe from the tonka and cherry. The cherry sticks around. I have absolutely nothing else like this, so that puts it high up my list bc I like to smell different. Truthfully, CC starts out clearly as its name sake, but the dry down is more Dr. Pepper. I love it! 10/10
