Cherry Gossip

I just received this today and it's a little cold-shocked from shipping but I couldn't resist spraying it right away. There is definitely a strong cherry right at first spray, along with strong coffee and licorice. I love the licorice in this but I love that note in anything. I don't have any of the popular cherry frags or dupes in my collection, so this is the most cherry forward that I have smelled in a while. The licorice fades to the back and I definitely get the sweet-bitter interplay, the same as in the description. I'll get a whiff of coffee but the next whiff is a sweet milky and powdery cherry, vaguely reminding me of a candy powder called Lik-m-Aid/Fun Dip in the cherry flavour. This interplay has been going on for about 3 hours now, but sits fairly close on my skin. I am not getting any woods. I have only tried Black Opium over Red once, but I immediately did not like it. Cherry Gossip is not comparable to it, aside from the cherry and coffee angle. It so far has proven to be a fun scent that seems pretty uniqueand I am looking forward to wearing it more after it recovers from shipping and matures. I'll update or edit if things change over the next few weeks or months.

This perfume is everything I love! I'm not a fan of bright, fruity, cherry, nor syrupy, cherry-liquor. This is perfectly balanced with sweetness and powdery notes make it so beautiful and feminine.

Update: it has macerated beautifully! The cherry is even more projecting and the blend is seriously amazing! This smells sooo good to me, it has this really nostalgic cherry toffees/ lollipops scent to me though I cant pinpoint the exact one. It does not smell juvenile at all but really grown and lovely, and the coffee is not too prominent but gives it this solid base and even leans a little chocolately. It does not have that medicinal cherry smell at all. I had sampled Black Opium Over Red and really liked it and decided to try this, I think this is even better. It has more cherry and sweetness, and the cherry lasts all the way through the wear unlike Over Red. I also really get a lot of milkiness. Love it. I also got a chance to try Lattafa's Mayar Cherry Intense and although initially they didnt seem to be similar, by the drydown they were close enough that you could see they are different versions of the same thing. There were slight differences like Mayar Cherry smelling of stronger chocolate in the opening and a more cough drop more intense cherry as well as sweet strawberry mix which really shines in the drydown, and Cherry gossip being more lactonic, a less intense cherry which is more of a cola/ candy dip cherry and the coffee chocolate note taking over more in the drydown. I kind of love both and got Mayar Cherry Intense as well. Update: I have grown to prefer Mayar Cherry Intense, its just a lot more intense and Cherry Gossip is leaning on body spray.

as an over sprayer, I can get a little nose blind to my own perfume. apparently this one has pretty good sillage because someone complimented me from across the room lol. As for the scent, its a pleasant sweet creamy cherry, NOT medicinal or juvenile at all. I like this one compared to other cherry fragrances Ive smelled. Its more playful and flirty, but somehow clean-girl coded at the same time. Nice for day or night, not too sweet or cloying. Just a great smelling option, not offensive or too 'loud.'

I like this .... I’m not like blown away by any means ... but today wore it on a quick grocery run and I’ve never gotten more compliments in my life ! So there’s that lol .... She’s a pretty lactonic cherry smoke .... Def worth trying 😊

This is amazing. A syrupy powdery cherry with slight notes of coffee. The florals aren't overwhelming and blend in perfectly. The milk is also in the background and ties it all together. I'm definitely getting a full bottle.

Black opium over red but without the almond note that I wasn’t a huge fan of. For the price it’s a delicious cherry vanilla!

Compared to Opera Rouge the cherry in this is much more juicy and less waxy. Pretty linear and a great blind buy!

Ive fallen out of love with it its just okay and too linear. I think Mayar Cherry Intense is better.

I have Emir ‘Cherry Cola’ and there just isn’t nearly enough Cherry there to counter the old man aftershave base. Happy to report that this Cherry Emir finally gets it right. My first impression, this smells like alot of the modern Cherry releases not inspired by TF ‘Lost Cherry.’ Very ‘Black Opium Over Red’ or ‘Cherry Ambition’ vibes. Also reminds me of Lattafa’s underrated ‘Taraf.’ The Licorice here made me apprehensive, but its more Red Vines and not Good&Plenty. 🍬 Certified Cherry gal and this absolutely gets my approval. I could see this evolving from like to a love. I will likely update this as time goes on and ‘Cherry Gossip’ finds its footing in my collection. 😇 Update: The opposite is actually happening, this went from like to simply okay. I initially scoffed at the review below me, but I’m getting the Cherry breath thing more and more with each wear. I also can’t get this to stick or have a presence on either skin or clothing. I quite literally drenched myself in ‘Cherry Gossip’ after a shower today, and it faded into nearly nothing in less than 2 hours. Perhaps this will improve/be more performative in the warmer weather? 🤕

It could be an OK alternative for Over red, but for me this is heavier on the jasmine, which I hate. And I don’t have time to test the drydown, because there is no any. After few minutes it becomes a rather dusty than powdery cherry. And after 15 minutes the whole scent is gone.

I'm not sure if it's the licorice or jasmine that is clashing with the cherry to make it smell like literal cherry gossip... but the someone who happens to be gossiping has a bad case of halitosis. This had so much potential for me, the cherry is PERFECTION, but one of those notes is totally turning me off from this perfume.

i got a sample of this because i love boor but this OMG. first spray and i kid you not for the first 3 hours it smelled like burnt coffee. it was too traumatic for me. however the dry down was where it was at and it was soo addictive. anyway, it got me soo mad that i just ordered for the original because why do i have to wait 3hrs to get to where i want it to be.

The bottle design could be better idk how to feel about that it’s ugly however the scent on this is nice but it’s like a watered down version of Black Opium Over Red the projection is terrible and the longevity sucks I’m not impressed with this! Will be getting returned

Beautiful fragrance. Does smell like Black Opium Overred. Cherry, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, sweet, delicious. This is a good one and I’m relieved it’s not another Lost Cherry dupe 🤭

I can only smell this perfume when I spray it initially, I cannot smell it on myself, I over sprayed myself with it and cannot detect it, every time.
