Fayora Oshino

I'll give my honest opinion. I'm extremely critical when it comes to perfumes, and although I generally have a stronger preference for unisex fragrances, I've always enjoyed masculine and feminine scents alike, as well as exploring different olfactory styles. That said, it's worth emphasizing that this review reflects the perspective of a man evaluating a distinctly feminine fragrance. Fayora Oshino by Paris Corner was a very pleasant surprise. It's an exceptionally faithful dupe of La Bomba by Carolina Herrera. The main differences lie in the citrus notes and the addition of tonka bean, which is absent in the original. As an Arabic interpretation, it makes perfect sense that it has been adapted to appeal to a slightly different type of woman. The most striking feature is, without a doubt, the exotic fruit accord. If I had to describe it, I'd say it closely resembles the dragon fruit accord found in the original, but sweeter, denser, and less watery. The opening is incredibly exotic and tropical. Despite the presence of bergamot and Sicilian lemon, the citrus contrast remains fairly subtle. From the very first spray, the combination of exotic fruits, almond, and frangipani dominates the fragrance and remains noticeable almost from beginning to end. Alongside the frangipani, I also perceive peony as one of the composition's most prominent notes. It adds a delicate, rosy floral facet that enhances the refined, cheerful femininity the fragrance conveys. The evolution on the skin is relatively subtle. It takes a more attentive nose to pick up the vanilla, the tonka bean, and, toward the very end, a gentle touch of patchouli. The opening may come across as slightly synthetic to some people, largely because of its unusually exotic and intense fruity-almond accord. If I had to imagine the woman who would wear this fragrance, she would be elegant, hardworking, and a dreamer. Not someone trying to seduce others, but someone who naturally radiates femininity. I can easily picture a woman over the age of 25, with a kind and easygoing personality, dressed in tailored clothing in soft shades of pink, effortlessly conveying a sense of natural elegance. I also consider it an exceptionally versatile fragrance. Its tropical character makes it especially suitable for summer, but I can just as easily see it shining during spring or autumn. After wearing it throughout a full workday, my impression is this: the projection is genuinely impressive during the first two hours, attracting attention with ease and leaving behind a very pleasant scent trail. On my skin, however, the longevity was around 11 hours. On clothing, the performance is even better, remaining clearly noticeable for well over 11 hours after application. And to emphasize once again, this is the perspective of a man reviewing a feminine fragrance. Many women may perceive it differently, but based on my own olfactory experience, I consider Fayora Oshino to be a highly enjoyable, elegant fragrance with a personality of its own. It deserves a solid 9.4/10.

I was not going to keep it, but when I put it on, there is definitely something addictive to it. It is about 80% similar to la Bomba, honestly, I liked this one more. I thought La Bomba very good, but I was not drag to keep smelling it over and over again, and this happens with Oshino. I try to intercalate and use a floral fragrance one day and a fruity fragrance the other. This is definitely more fruity and sweet. It almost takes me to that feeling of drinking a cold fruit juice in a hot summer day. I am testing on a winter day and it feels refreshing, it can be used all year round, but summer and spring would bloom.

This is la bomba without the cheap synthetic note - much much better. A creamier, more projecting La Bomba for less than half the price. Very tropical summer forward fragrance - great one to pick up for a beach holiday. Note this one does need to be sprayed and then sat for a few weeks before you smell the true fragrance

This is literally La Bomba by Carolina Herrera wow it smells just like it but , not as sharp with the dragon fruit and it’s creamier sweeter omg it last longer as well!! That was my problem with the original it didn’t last too long Paris Corner did an amazing job 😍

First impressions this fragrance surprised me, it's definitely not as feminine as fayora but people saying it's masculine are not accurate either.. it's one of those soft soapy easy wearing fragrances that imo could be worn daily or even at the gym. It's floral but not very sweet ..a touch of the nuttiness is in there.. slightly fruity as well, like a tart fruit punch, but what I like is there is little vanilla that I can make out (it's mild) unlike fayora. So it gives it a fresh feel. It's also unique I don't own anything that smells like it and I have a lot of freshies. It could be worn by men as well but it doesn't feel gendered. I like it ! I find with fragrances like this I reach for them a lot when I don't know what else to wear.. because it's something that you can just smell good and not worry about being too strong or offensive. So far my bottle is new so it's not strong but hopefully it gets more intense over time because it's a nice scent.

I tested this fragrance yesterday, so this is more a first impression. To me this fragrance smells like a picture of teal blue salty tropical water would smell. It definitely reminds me of an aquatic fragrance despite the notes. It stays on my skin as a creamy floral but for me it’s not a specific floral scent note. I get some vanilla but it isn’t overly sweet. I heard someone say it had a quality of smelling like a shaving cream and I can see that a little. This is one of my more unisex leaning scents in my collection but mostly because I usually gravitate toward very sweet feminine scents. It gives more of a fresh and clean vibes that is a unique addition to my collection.

this comes across soft, tropical, sweet, and a little lactonic. the almond translates a bit powdery to me as well. was really afraid I wouldn't like it with all the mixed reviews, but am happy to report this is very pleasant. a unique summery and feminine scent. with all that said, i would not consider this a safe or easy blind buy.

Seems very nice initially- fruity zingy & vibrant. But after dispensing 8 initial sprays, the lingering scent is not so good , I dont know what it is- strong & offensive??? I put in dark cold time out for now. Will check back in a month or so. I am very curious to see how OG goes on but no stores in my area have yet -Macys & Sephora?? Idk 😬🤔

Loud, screechy, and just...not nice. No thank you. I was sent this for review and I don't recommend it.

I have never smelled CH La Bomba, so no comparisons & am giving my impression on its own accord as a standalone fragrance. I first got Fayora Oshino when it was newly released & was really excited to have her (pretty bottle, nice atomizer that dispenses/disperses juice nicely) & the notes sounded delicious, refreshing & perfect for spring/summer. Upon initial spray I was blasted with a sharp beast mode strength of a mix of almond & mish mash of citrusy fruity notes—most dominantly bergamot/lemon, but more so the bergamot takes the lead. Now, that doesn’t sound bad (& not saying it is either), but it was potent (even for me & as someone who is heavy handed with atomizers & is aggressive with my sprays, that’s saying something 😩😂), but wasn’t really into what she was giving, but wasn’t sure either & thought let’s let her rest & come spring/summer she should be ready to go (smoother & more “balanced”, but hopefully still beast mode bc I dig that the majority of the time in my fragrances. Love me a pretty soft feminine or even a spring/summer centrally unisex fragrance & HBIC Boss B*tch type fragrances, but love it most when they announce themselves (so this should be right up my alley, but something wasn’t hitting). My mentality is I wear smell good goodies to smell good—to myself, but also want others to be able smell them on me too. I’m not spending my queso for nothing here 😉). She has literally been sitting for months & today I’m mentally processing how to reorganize my fragrances (including my layering body products) for the season & sitting looking at my situation & how to tackle it, thought let me give her a sniff to she what Miss Fayora Oshino is giving us now? **Side note: I tried a few sprays in between when I first got her & today & she stood her ground & stayed the same). She has not changed. She is still giving the same & she is a strong presence. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m keeping her. I’m going to see if she would layer nicely with other fragrances to give me what I’m hoping—something smoother & more balanced & what is “missing” for me that would make me truly want to wear her & enjoy wearing her fully. Right now, honestly, she has me not hating or necessarily disliking her (& I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with her), but also not really liking & wanting to wear her. To me she’s still a “confusing” composition... I’m reminded of cleaning products, but in particular toilet cake deodorizers...(when putting the top of my hand to my nose after 2 sprays—not up close sprays either)—there’s a slight, but detectable scent of “vegetalness” also. The initial beast mode slap in the face Marzipan has somewhat calmed down & become more blended into the heavy bergamot citrusy fruit mix, but still comes through & helps somewhat balance things out, but also gives me an odd vegetal “bug sprayish” vibes. Again, she has me perplexed. She has the potential to be pleasant, but there’s some tweaking that needs to be done. She can be worn in spring/summer, but (as always) also depending on an individual’s body chemistry, could be too much in heavy humidity or hot weather, but she definitely could stand up to cooler/colder weather too. She potentially could work for that seasonal affective disorder that can be uplifted by some spring/summer olfactory aromatherapy. If you’re familiar with Shaghaf Oud Tonka by Swiss Arabian, the “Marzipan” accord is NOT the same, but I wanted to compare them & decided after spraying SOT on my opposite hand & not feeling the Marzipan is not the same (you can tell they’re both giving that vibe, but there’s a difference in smoothness, balance & probably quality), to spray one spray on top of the hand with Fayora Oshino & that is a possibility, but they are both pretty beast mode so keep that in mind along with weather conditions bc even if you’re like-minded & want to have your fragrance be noticeable, you want it to be pleasing for yourself as well as others (or the potential to be so, bc we know what smells good to one, doesn’t mean it will smell good to another). Basically, she is beast mode & depending on the conditions, could be too much on her own & definitely more so layering, especially with another beast mode fragrance. At least with her, a “safeguard” for me at least, is I’m not going nose-blind to her. I know she’s a heavy hitter & she let’s it be known—no hidden agendas with her 😁. Anyways, she has not “changed” at all by giving her time. As long as I’m able to find a combo or combos that erase the toilet deodorizer cake & background vegetal aspects I’m detecting, I won’t concede a loss quite yet, but need to see if anything works. The jury’s still out for me & being said, would not recommend her without getting your nose on her first—she is NOT blind buy safe. 🤷🏻♀️Hope this at least a little helpful to anyone. 💖Always keep in mind that we all have our own unique tastes & just bc someone does or doesn’t vibe with something, doesn’t mean the same for you! Also, you gotta put the juice on your skin to truly get a feel for & sense of what it will give on you & how the juice will wear (smell, longevity, sillage, projection & strength etc.) on you. Smelling from the atomizer, in the air & on fabric/paper is NOT the same as your skin & chemistry (also fragrance changes on skin throughout wear & in its own phases/journey—top, middle & base). What you’re left with from the dry down is also usually different from initial sprays, so sometimes you have to wait to see what you get (in addition to sometimes giving fragrance a chance to “rest”, bloom & come together). ☺️😊

I'm counting this as my second Middle Eastern failure, and am especially annoyed with myself as I ignored the rating/reviews here and already had a list of two or three other La Bomba dupes: I'm pretty sure any one of them would have been better than this. It literally smells like cherry cough drops on me. It's probably the second weirdest scent I've bought after Issey Miyake's A Drop d'Issey Essentielle. I don't see it as a summertime perfume at all, and am going to put it away to try again in the autumn: I can actually see it working on a cold evening, if anything.

The only notes I am unsure about are the almond and nutty ones so those must not be pleasant to my nose. This smells so foul on me. It smells metal, synthetic and sharp. I had to wash it off immediately.

Just got my bottle today and this is just first impression of this fragrance. On the initial spray there is this green freshness coming as a mix of first notes ( fruits , lemon and bergamot ) . Than the flower notes join the show . I could compare it to a fresh laundry in a flower garden ( frangipani and peony ) . Then a bit later almond note starts to transform this into more of a skin scent . Makes the way for tonka and vanilla but somehow does not transform it into warm or sweet scent . The patchouli brings some dryness , but the scent stays fresh and floral . Could be a unisex . Can not say much about the performance yet , still in testing faze .

Apparently I owe Fayora an apology. When I first received it I didnt care for it. Wow! What a difference a few months can make. On a dupe site a few days ago I said it wasn’t a very good dupe of LaBomba, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I have Tahira and The Rebel One and they are both excellent. I wore one on my left and the other on my right to a party Saturday and got lots of compliments. I’m going to wear Fayora today.

Fresh summer beast with a very sharp fruity twist. Theoretically I shouldnt love this but I do. I feel like a tsunami made me land on a tiki bar. Bam! On my face all the fruity cocktails mixed with the freshness of the sea

Ok just got it .... So it may need to sit for a while ... first spray smells like fruit punch .... Then it dries down to ... soap 🧼 I’m not saying it smells bad ... but I’m hoping she changes over time

This is more citrusy in the opening in comparison to La Bomba, good longevity and performance
