Forbidden Sugar

Forbidden Sugar is difficult to describe. In my 57 years on this planet I've never smelled anything like it. I've had my bottle for a year now and it has evolved, or perhaps my nose has, from what I originally thought was unisex, leaning male to leaning feminine. It's a rich, honeyed, sugary, coconut, orange blossom bomb at first spray. Maybe slightly aquatic but more dense than a typical aquatic. More of a fruity floral than a gourmand. After a few minutes I pick up a sugary violet drizzled with caramel. This is where I pick up the cassis note: green and slightly sharp. Once the top and heart notes settle, I'm left with a sweet coconut, caramel, sugary, honeyed musk with a hint of orange blossom and violet. I do not pick up a raspberry note at all. Because of the strong notes in FS it's easy to go scent blind, especially if over sprayed and worn near the face. It's quite a strong fragrance and once the brain realizes the composition isn't a threat, it moves on and one will no longer be able to pick up much scent. I believe this is why there are complaints about longevity. It's quite different from the vintage, spicey, amber bombs that I love or even all the oud fragrances I prefer. I do enjoy wearing it and find that it wears best in the fall. Different but lovely. I will be repurchasing in the future if it's still available. Oh, and there were votes that said FS was similar to MFK's Oud Satin Mood. Everyone has different interpretations of what they smell but as someone who loves and wears Oud Satin Mood regularly in the winter, there is nothing comparable between the two.

Forbidden Sugar gets a lot of hate online, but I kind of like it. It is unique, but the florals and powdery aspects are reminding me of Classique and Alien. No wonder this is a polarizing scent just like the other two. It’s also reminding me of LDBS with the shocking sweetness and medicinal quality, not that it smells like LDBS, just a similar vibe. I’m glad I found a deal for 3 ME travel sprays including this, I’d possibly be disappointed if I spent 30+ dollars on this. It’s mostly honey, Cassis, jasmine and orange blossom. I will try to layer with something marshmallow and hope this gets better as it matures. Edit: I actually really like this and I’m happy to have it in my collection! It’s a little overwhelming and strong AF at first, but the dry down smells sweet yet classy with that musky orange blossom. I think this could be a good winter or date night signature. It’s so unique!

I love this, but it doesn’t perform well for me. I let it sit for a couple of months to mature. Today, I picked it up again and wore it. After two hours, it’s only faintly noticeable. I’m gonna put it back on the shelf and let it mature longer. Hopefully, after a few more months, I will actually be able to wear it without having to overspray or reapply after three hours.

Forbidden Sugar is a very unique scent it’s a sweet powdery floral I smell a lot of honey, marshmallow, violet and orange blossom it’s a 1 to 1 for Sugar Franck by Boclet it smells just like it but I find this one a little more powdery I’ve had it for over a year now it has macerated nicely it smells great!

Just got it! All I get at the moment is powdered sugar, peach, a little hint of caramel flavoured cotton candy and a little bit of suede. Gorgeous 😍 Edit; Forbidden Sugar dries down to a vintage musky make up powder scent, i personally love that but its probably not everyone's cup of tea.
