Oud Satin

****EDITED on October 20, 2025. The sillage is enormous. Didn't need any 'maceration' (though this term is wrongly used..) My batch is August 24 and I am amazed by the strength of this perfume. The animalic note seems to be completely gone, just days after I received and sprayed the jus for the very first time (see below). The opening is now strong on rose and agarwood. The latter fades or it is simply overwhelmed by the strong floral presence. The fragrance may lean feminine but it is totally wearable by a confident gentlemen aged 40 and above. The vanilla is present and, luckily, in just about the right amount. The sweetness comes from the Rose-Violet accord. The duration is enormous. It stays with you literally all day. Projection is absurd, filling up a room for hours (3 - 4 at least) before becoming more intimate, yet lovable, powdery floral-oud scent. It will layer perfectly with other fragrances in the same line, such as Thailand Oud in Cairo (whose animalic note will balance and tame the very strong floral note here) as well as with Oud Indonesian (whose strong resinous wood base will pair perfectly with the dominant Rose in Satin Oud). I can't believe you can buy such a gorgeous fragrance with 18€ ******************************************************************************** I'm impressed by its clever and wearable take on the oud theme. It's a great example of a synthetic oud accord done right. For me, the star is the balance. It opens with a noticeable but well-controlled animalic note (likely from Cedramber), giving that authentic, slightly funky oud impression. This is quickly balanced by a smooth, dark rose accord. The rose isn't fresh or bright; it's more of a velvety, almost wine-like note that adds a layer of elegance and keeps the animalic aspects from becoming too strong. The dry down is where it becomes really wearable. It settles into a creamy, slightly sweet base, probably from vanillin and lactones (like Cyprial), mixed with a persistent woody backbone (think Iso E Super). It feels warm, resinous, and cozy. Overall, this is a fantastic fragrance for anyone curious about oud but intimidated by the real thing or the heavier, more challenging Western interpretations. It's a smooth, well-blended scent that offers great performance. The rose and creamy base make it surprisingly versatile, leaning more towards a "dressed up" scent but still wearable for casual occasions if you love darker, sweeter woods, although the synthetic oud accord might not satisfy purists looking for the real thing. Compared to OSM it is super similar! I think this is actually a little bit smoother and less harsh/bitter than the OG in the initial few minutes after spray. The quality is unbelievably good. Honestly the bottle feels like a way higher end bottle not something from a dupe house. There is no alcohol blast at all either and I detect no weird synthetic cheap notes. This was delivered over the weekend and I tried it while at home and at first I wasn't sure about it, something came off as bitter and sharp. But I wore it to work today and idk maybe it was the environment change but something made it super beautiful! A really powdery, waxy (in a good way, from the benzoin) benzoin-y rose! There is a slight sweetness, almost like unburned incense from the oud, but to me it's way more rose-powdery than it is oud-y. So sophisticated, so chic. I think this smells a lot more beautiful on clothes than on skin, at least for me. It also smells way better after like 30 mins than the initial spray but the initial spray is not bad at all, just strong and sharp for a short time. Lasting power is great too but for such a good price I don't even mind re-applying. I think this is slightly more masculine and less rosy than the original but still very very close. I've actually bought/tried the Oakcha dupe Blue Velvet too. At first I liked Blue Velvet more but I think this one just takes a bit of time to bloom, it smells better than the Oakcha one to me now after a few days of wearing it and I think this it is better. The Oakcha one is a bit more floral and rosy, and this is more powdery-benzoin-oud-y.

I really enjoy Oud Satin. It is currently one of my favourite fragrances. It is a sophisticated rose scent that has depth and an edgy freshness at the same time. I only noticed the Lychee note other reviewers mentioned when I spray on paper, not on skin or clothes. Oud Satin makes me think of thick pieces of premium quality Turkish delight, dusted with icing sugar, served on a stainless steel plate with dry ice fog floating around it. You could get away with wearing this in all seasons apart from in the high heat in summer when the sweetness might be a bit much. But I even feel comfortable wearing it to the gym. I can't imagine this fragrance offending anyone. To me, this is signature scent-worthy if you wear dark clothes; greys, black, and navy blues suit this scent. It's more feminine leaning to me; I don't think I would like smelling this on a man. I haven't experienced MFK Oud Satin Mood, so I can't comment on the similarity there. However, I own Shaghaf Oud, and I think Oud Satin is a lighter, fresher, easier-to-wear sister. Shaghaf Oud is more in-your-face sexy, while Oud Satin has a cheeky, mysterious vibe. This fragrance smells and performs amazingly, especially for the price.

Got it today and maybe it needs to macerate a bit. On the top I get a diaper wipe vibe. Not a fan of the initial smell. That tapers down to a sweet version baby powder. I don't detect the rose until about 4-5 hours in. I get no vanilla... no violet. Gonna let this sit for a month or so and hope that masceration helps. Seeing so many positive reviews here I must be missing something UPDATE: Fell asleep with this still on my skin and woke up to a creamy rose. Similar almost to Essential Parfums- Rose Magnetic without being a photorealistic rose. Stunned it actually lasted so long tbh. Much better than the night before and waaay better than the initial drydown. Still going to wait a month or so but if the smell after 24+ hours is what this fragrance is hoping to achieve then it'll be worth the wait. Further UPDATE 4/22: Tried this again after letting it sit for almost a month. Absolutely incredible. I now detect the rose about 5 minutes in. It's creamy and powdery and light in a good way. It's seems to have balanced itself out. Projection is about arms length and I could easily detect it on skin for about 6 hours. This is backup bottle worthy especially for the price!

Edit: I got 3 different dupes of oud satin mood and the best one is Barakkat Satin Oud. It's the closest in terms of smell and performance. I got a sample perfume from Mfk of the oud satin mood and OMG this smells the SAME ! The difference is the first 30 mins or so it almost smells like there are purple berries mixed in with the rose. But after that the notes is just linear and it smells like 95% the same as this. This might be just a tad bit more rosy and lighter. But no one can tell the difference really. I have the OG on my left arm and this on my right arm. So if you are looking for a dupe, this is perfect. You can just read the reviews and description from the original MFK Oud Satin Mood, they are basically describing the same perfume. But the OG is more potent. You only need 3 sprays max. For this you can spray about 6. But for the price difference that is AWESOME! And even though this is very, very affordable this perfume really has good projection and it LASTS! This perfume totally threw me off initially cos of the oud note. I actually expected it to be like Shaghaf Oud. So it was a shock that its so sweet.

Haven't tried anything else from ministry of oud, but if the entire line manages to surprise like this, then paris corner really knows their stuff lol Everything from the bottle and packaging to the fragrance itself is really worth the money. In terms of smell, this simply smells as if someone opened a fresh pack of rose scented baby wipes and threw it in your face, but in the best way possible. 3-4 sprays took about a minute to fill my room which means this isnt going to choke everyone out, but that it can linger around the space and reach everybodys nose smoothly. Since its a middle eastern fragrance, i will let maceration do its wonders on this one Longevity (so far): 9.5/10 Projection: 9/10 Smell: 9/10 Bottle and packaging: 8/10

I m confused with this one ..... to me it s a knife sharp and cold scent, def. not smooth and mellow as mentioned by other reviewers. I only used it for the past two days for it just arrived , so maybe it has to settle jet. I will give it some time to settle and accomedate and maybe within a few weeks time it will mellow down, I hope so, cause I like it, but now it s much too sharp for me. June 6 2023: After 2 month not using this perfume, last week I gave it a second try ..... and it changed so much! unbelievable! Now it is smooth and deep and it has a suprisingly nice dry/ powdery rose note .... ..... normaly I hate dry or powdery rose, but in Oud Satin this note is beautiful ! From dislike to love in an instant!

With this beast of a beasty you get jammy jammy rose, a little violet, benzoin, vanilla, and more vanilla. I've worn this and the original Oud Satin for quite some time. They smell quite dissimilar for about 30 minutes. The OG has a much stronger green vibe (probably from violet leaf essential oil). It's more intricate and balanced with rose and a woody backbone. The OG is FAR less sweet than this. This clone smells like the far dry down of the original, but only the drydown. This clone is far sweeter up top than the OG, yet after about 1 hour and 30 minutes it is very difficult to tell them apart! One of my favorite frags ad if you spray it on your clothes you can still smell the vanilla 2 days later.

Creamy rose, violet and vanilla that lasts at least 14 hours. There's a Turkish delight stamp about Oud Satin. I bought Oud Satin for myself but my mother decided that going forward I'll find it in her wardrobe. She loves it, and the fragrance is worthy of her adoration, too. Definitely getting another bottle that I can actually call mine. Tested the MFK once before but can't quite recall the scent to compare it with much conviction against the Ministry Of Oud, but this composition is so well-blended. As the reviewer below wrote: smooth and mellow. Yes it is feminine-leaning, but I will not have any problem confidently wearing Oud Satin. To me it is somewhere between Noir de Noir and Ambre Nuit.

This fragrance is a beast. I have never tried MFK's Oud Satin Mood, but the note breakdown looked pretty good and I had heard some good things about it, so I blind bought it. I see why people love it. It is an extremely rosy and sweet fragrance. I get a little bit of musk, but don't pick up on much oud. It leans a little feminine, but as a male I still find it very wearable. Definitely a unisex fragrance. This juice is so strong, 2 sprays is enough to choke myself out, and after a long day of school and work, 13 hours on I still was getting strong whiffs of it. Great performance and scent profile. I doubt I'll ever run out of this, and I recommend this to anyone who's on the fence.

I loved the OG. This is just as good. This, in my opinion, is the best rose on the market. It's so powdery and delicate. The only "issue" I have with this cologne is that it's kind of hard to wear. I feel like to do it justice, I need an Armani suit. This stuff is strong, 9-ish hours on skin with strong projection. It's super potent, though, so do not wear on hot days. gets about 90% close to the OG, mainly being less smooth. If you love roses, this is a must-have. Plus, this gets so complimented. It's so unique because rose isn't too popular for men to wear, so it's interesting but so, so good. Two of my friends adore this scent on me, and I feel as if women would as well.

This is by far one of best oud satin mood clones on the market. This is unisex there’s another fragrance called rose l'extase absolue by Nina Ricci but that fragrance is very feminine and is meant for women and made by Francis Kurkdijan himself. The intial blast does not do any justice you have to let this settle and wait for the dry down. It’s like 95% close to MFK’s oud satin mood. I still think this fragrance is a dialed down version of oud satin mood however this stuff is still strong in projection and sillage it’s almost a carbon copy of the real thing. The OG oud satin is just perfectly blended and velvety but this is by far a close alternative

Baby wipes and sour beer as a first impression is NOT what I expecting but that was fresh out of a hot mailbox on a 100° day. A few days later I received my Barakkat dupe and suddenly this didn't smell sour anymore and the baby wipe scent tamed significantly! How? What happened? I'd been huffing MFK's sample spritzer for a week comparing scent profiles and somehow, magically, M.o.O's Oud Satin got so much better! I'm still in shock. I'll actually wear this now but Barakkat's version is closer (in my opinion) to MFK Oud Satin Mood, smells better than this one and is 30% cheaper. 7/10 Won't buy again but is good none the less.

Enormous sillage and longevity. Very powdery rose-vanilla. I cannot really distinguish more levels to this because these notes are so present. Perhaps a slight of violet as it develops. I love it, but it can be overpowering. One light spray is more than enough to last for ages, both on skin and clothes. I prefer to do a short spray on the body and then get dressed and let it permeate through the clothing. It's definitely not for the squeamish and shy. This is statement scent. Quite unisex. Westerners will think of it as slightly feminine

Wait a minute...Perhaps it's the knowledge that this fragrance costs less than a TENTH what the original MFK Oud Satin Mood costs, but why do I like this one better? I feel like it's stronger, and 98% the same as OSM. I've read that after this fragrance macerates for a little while it gets even better, deepening the scent. I'll have to update when that happens! EDIT: I like to wear this to bed, and I seem to have the most intense and vivid dreams when I do. If that's a thing you're into, something about this hits right!

This smells like rose and vanilla-babypowder to me, and i love it! I am so happy i bought this blind before i smelled the original from MFK, seeing that I didn’t like the mfk too much I would have never gotten this if i smelled mfk first. I suspect most people would dissagree, but this is made for my nose. This is VERY strong in my opinion and some people are not going to like it(too bad for them🤣). I use this when i am going to be in open spaces, 1 spray if inside, 2-3 if outside. This in not for work or thight spaces.

THIS HAS TO MACERATE! Spray and let sit about a month and it will be different and better than the first spray. Had to do PDM Layton was the same way. After it macerates I get a soapy rose, light vanille l, and almost incense type of oud in my skin. This leans masculine on me. I'm a man btw. This stuff lasts and projects. The opening is feminine to me but the drydown leans masculine on my skin. My wife said she gets a bit of incense on my skin mixed with rose and a light vanilla. Very well done.

9/10- Seductive Earthy Rose I haven't sniffed the MFK's Oud Satin, but this perfume reminds me of Tom Ford's Shanghai Lily, a discontinued gem. Women love this fragrance and this is an easy blind-buy even for normies who haven't set foot into the realm of niche perfumery. This perfume does not smell synthetic to my nose, available at a great price of under 30USD. It is a masterful blend of Floral, Woods and Balsamic notes in the profile.

Wearing both right now and my thoughts are for 30 bucks this is close enough to scratch the itch. I will most definitely buy the real deal when my decants run out and this will need some time to mellow but its in the ballpark. Less dense with a slightly more floral rose but also doesn't have that waxy heft the original does (some love it like me some find it too much)...original 10/10 this 7/10 I can see being a 8 or 9 in 6 months
