Plum Liquor

Okay Paris Corner. You were late to the Eden Juicy Apple party and you didn't create one to put it in the Khair line but instead created a "plum" fragrance and started a new bottle series. You didnt respect it enough to create a dupe until everybody else did it. Its going to be immediately returned for sure but had you been straight up and put this in the Khair line I would have purchased it to complete my bottle collection with a sexy all red Khair bottle. I already have this in two other sets and this is not even a bad version. Just a day late and a bottle short.

People need to remember that the “reminds me of” comparisons don’t mean the scent is an exact dupe of the mentioned fragrance. Yes, there are aspects of Eden Juicy Apple and Plum Japanoise in Plum Liquor but it doesn’t replace either. It’s something of its own. It’s juicier and fruitier than expected, and the mossy base note is subtle (I feel it could have been more pronounced). I’m getting good projection and it seems to have good longevity. I think it merits consideration as a spring wardrobe staple.

Honesty, I don’t understand how this has such a low rating. Deserves atleast a 4/5 imo. Very sweet, girly and flirtatious scent thats perfect for spring and summer. Did not pick up on any Liquor, mainly sweet & fruity. To my nose this was heavier on the Litchi than the Plum. Unfortunately it was quite weak, but hoping it gets stronger over time.

havent bought it yet. just went to their store to spray it all over me. will update how it turns out. Initial impressions:- Different from Lattafa's Teriaq Intense (a plum liquor based perfume that I had in my collection) Celebratory night vibes with this one (perfect day to test this out ;) )

Yep. Another Juicy Apple. Admittedly the juiciest (plum) version of the ones I've tried, but the difference is so insignificant that I'd be a snob if I said so. But I'll say it anyway.

Smells beautiful. Nothing like teriaq intense. Very feminine and a bit juvenile in my opinion. Plum and litchi are very dominant in a nice way. Not sure about longevity yet.

Just got this today and I'm loving it. This hits the spot when I'm in the mood for something super juicy, sweet and fruity.

I need this one to be a dupe of Plum Japonais so badly...I hope it's not like Teriaq Intense at all.

Oh, the Plum! It starts so ripe and almost jam-like; very bright, juicy and sweet. I do not feel litchi very much, but pear is here, and it freshens up and distills the plum from its initial syrupy condensation. It makes it less deep purple and more golden, like a mirabelle or alycha varieties. Davana and moss, create a green, herbaceous note, maintaining the balance and giving a facet to the scent that could easily become linear. The plum is not overly alcoholic, I would put it to be close to Japanese umeshu of Chinese meijiu, rather than a Western-style liqueur. The Asian varieties tend to be lighter and less syrupy/condensed, but unmistakably plummy and sweet nonetheless. Rose adds to the depth of the heart and has sugared petals of magenta hue. She is not allowed to come to the fore on her own and is beautiful as a supporting note. Labdanum gives the overall composition a warmer depth and anchor, and is well blended with the rest. "Plum Liquor" is very straightforward and uncomplicated scent. It is neither "drunken" nor green, it is as close to a fruit itself as one might get, nicely incapsulated into a greener, fresher notes, for balance, and presenting a high quality intensity and depth without becoming cloying or overwhelming on one's skin. It can be worn throughout the seasons (although probably not in +35 C with 85% humidity) and can be dressed up or down with ease. It is different from Tom Ford, Lattafa, Lalique and other variations, and I would not even start looking for similarities, save for the fact that there is a plum mentioned in the notes pyramid. This is a stand alone, fruity composition, exploring the plum as a main character and opening it up as a bright, sweet and juicy fruit that it can be. I would most certainly not compare it to any apple, as there is none, search as one may. It is a light-hearted and fun fragrance and should be treated as such, without looking for the hidden facets or agendas, or expecting anything more than what it gives from the start. P.S. I wonder if it will go together with the white musk, and whether the brightness of those two may create something altogether different.

I like a sweet juicy fruity scent so this is a yes for me. Dont get any overpowering boozyness, it actually apretty girly scent. I wish performance will improve.

Very green to my nose, almost screechy even. Was hoping for a deeper plum scent. I don’t completely hate it but I never reach for it. Projection is great .

Weirdly, I find no plum nor liquor from this, except from the bottle etiquet. For a plum liquor that actually smells like - well, plum liquor, Teriaq Intense from Lattafa is a realistic deep dark sweet boozy plum masterpiece, created by Quentin Bisch. This Plum Liquor is like a sister of Lattafa's Bade'e Al Oud Sublime, but they are definitely not identical. As if Plum Liquor shares the same background notes as Sublime, but lacks the best part: the fruity and juicy. It's like a band without its soloist. As said, I find no plum from this. Also the litchi and pear feel more like general sweetness from a random dried fruit mix - dried pineapples and apricots maybe - than something fresh fruity and juicy. Plum Liquor feels more dry and powdery - dusty - compared to Sublime, leaving me cold when side by side. The performance is decent, but so is Sublime's which I would rather recommend. Plum Liquor also has some kind annoying side note on the background. I can't exactly put my finger on it or name it, but some Arab scents have it. I find it cloying, a little dry, somehow "wrong kind of sweet" and quite unpleasant. Maybe somehow related to the dried pineapple ghost note, not sure. I hope the plum liquor note will become more prominent and the scent generally improves if I let it sit and wait. I have noticed that what it comes to Arab scents, waiting can really make a difference.

All I can smell is plum and sugar. There is no depth in this fragrance. It's just sickly sweet, almost nauseating. Poor performance, didn't last more than few minutes. It reminds me of cheap body mist.

Pear & plum bomb. Slightly bittersweet and candy like end. Good longitivity with an okay sillage.

Fresh apple. Cool fragrance bottle and name just to be wasted on being a Juicy apple dupe. I'm really disappointed. Not that the fragrance is bad or anything but if I bite into a pizza and tastes marshmallows I'm gonna be a bit surprised. This DNA already has enough good dupes and this more expensive then those so it's just not worth it. They already have the khair line for fresh/fruity Kayali scents so I'm not sure what the need was for this.

Disappointed. I really don’t understand the hype around Plum Liquor. To my nose this is yet another shmoopy, sugary fruity scent and smells very similar to Eden Juicy Apple, and even more so to Bade’e Al Oud Sublime by Lattafa. If you own either of those, this will feel completely redundant. I was expecting something darker, boozier and more mature – more in the direction of Tom Ford Plum Japonais or Teriaq Intense vibes – deep plum, richness, sophistication. Instead, I got a very juvenile, syrupy fruity sweetness that feels like a dupe of a dupe of a dupe. What frustrates me most is that no one mentions how close this is to Eden Juicy Apple. If I had known, I would never have bought it. I’m honestly tired of brands recycling the same DNA and marketing it as something new and exciting. Overhyped, unoriginal, and not for those looking for a grown-up plum fragrance.

Smells nothing like Tom Ford japonis plum and its feminine leaning.. its a nice scent but was pretty irritated when it was compared to the discontinued tom ford....

This smells like the cheapest old unbathed lady GRAPE soda scent in the world. My goodness this stinks!! 1/10 because the bottle shape is decent.

This smells sooooo cheap!! How can anyone call this a masterpiece? Wouldn't wear it, good I only got a sample!! Awful smell.

The comparisons to Tom Ford’s Plum Japonais are just wishful thinking from people who have clearly never smelled this fragrance because it smells nothing even remotely like it. I have to agree with the review below me that this smells very similar to grape soda. Like a really synthetic grape scented air freshener. I’m so grateful I have the option to return it for a full refund because this is downright disgusting. Wildly synthetic and screechy and I genuinely struggle to understand how anyone could possibly find this pleasant. Even fragrances I don’t love, I still find them to be very much tolerable and pleasant. But this is truly nauseating. I own 3 middle eastern fragrances that I really enjoy, but this scent was a great reminder of why I decided not to explore any more. I’ll be sticking to that from here on out.

You get what you pay for, simple as🤷🏿♀️. It's a synthetic and boozy plum with longevity of a whisper in the wind... I don't hate it but I don't love it and won't repurchase. If it's a good, deep and photorealistic plum you're after, keep on looking... 🕵🏿♀️

Not what I was expecting or hoping for. It’s ok, it is sweet smelling but it literally smells just like SUBLIME Bade’e Al Oud by Lattafa. So if you have that, I wouldn’t bother getting this.

This is in one word: PHENOMENAL and it doesn’t resemble anything else in the current “remind me of section”. If you decide not to buy it, it will be your loss, not mine... 😏😏

Looks interesting. My guess would be it's a dupe of Plum Japonais Tom Ford 2013 but I haven't tested this.

Daniel Renee was very impressed but others not so much on Fragrantica.
