I saw the metallic note in this and was discouraged. To my surprise it is superbly blended to enhance the fresh, cool and dewy aspects of a newly-picked rose. I’m testing a sample. I think this would be an amazing rose-forward fragrance for spring and summer, day or evening. The price of a 100mL bottle is AUD360 which is steep. I own a full bottle of Perdrisat “Coquette” which is gorgeous. I’m looking forward to wearing that as the weather gets warmer.

#119 of My Fragrance Journey - PERDRISÂT Starfucker: The starlet's descent. Not the glitz. The silence after. When the lights have cooled, and nobody's watching anymore, and the beauty is still there, just exhausted. The rose that opens this is sharp and immediate. Fresh like a bloom snapped off a bush on a cold May morning, still carrying night air, still wet. Nothing powdery about it. Nothing romantic in the soft sense. It's cooler than that, almost aggressively bright, hovering so vividly you can smell it without lifting your wrist. It stays like that for nearly an hour - swelling, insisting, pushing right to the edge of too much. Like a camera that won't look away from someone coming apart in real time. Then something colder moves in underneath. Saffron and bergamot, and this metallic current threading through - chrome lighting on delicate skin. The rose doesn't disappear exactly. It retreats. Becomes a ghost of itself while the fragrance shifts into something more mineral, more cinematic. Elevator doors closing at 3 AM. Cold jewellery against warm skin. Rain on the pavement outside an afterparty nobody actually enjoyed. It sits close after that - cold stone, metal that's been touched, something faintly salty in the air. Not projecting outward so much as clinging inward. Pomegranate comes through somewhere in the middle - watery, translucent, not sweet. More like crushed seeds releasing cold red water over stone. It softens the sharper edges without diluting anything. And somehow that contrast - the rose against the metal, the cold fruit against the mineral - is the whole emotional point of this fragrance. Beauty and weariness occupying the same space without resolving into either one. It doesn't smooth its contradictions out. That's deliberate. The metallic-saffron accord can feel icy, distant, the rose cold and insistent rather than warm. It's not built for comfort or easy wearing. Around four or five hours, the projection pulls back - no longer something the room catches, more something you find when you bring your wrist close. But it doesn't leave. I could still smell it on my skin twelve hours later, quiet and close, like something that decided to stay without making a scene about it. That kind of longevity changes the experience. You stop wearing it for the room and start wearing it for yourself. Vibe: Dew-soaked petals on a chrome vanity. Cold marble. Pomegranate seeds on a stone. Elevator doors reflecting a tired face back at you. Performance: Strong longevity - still present 12+ hours later. Projects with presence early, then retreats to skin after 4–5 hours and stays there, quiet and close. Fit: Wear it when you want to feel immaculate, slightly dangerous, and entirely unbothered by either of those things. When the rose finally gives way to the chrome - does that feel like loss, or like arriving somewhere true? More scent stories and visuals on Instagram - @lavendercloudsjd

Oughh I’m glad I tried it but unfortunately I think on my skin, the metallic note was just overpowering and soured the florals. Super interesting house
