Don't overlook this one just because it might not have the mystique or prestige of some of the more well known marketed fragrances. I was recently given this fragrance by a friend as a gift. I have worn it out in public on several occasions and received compliments EVERY TIME I have worn it! This currently stands as my #1 most complimented fragrance. The longer it stays on my skin the better it settles in and smells. Is it groundbreaking? No. Is is fresh, clean, vibrant, aquatic affordable and a compliment getter? Yes! Women seem to really like this one. It was a pleasant surprise. To go along with the quality scent is a gorgeous blue glass bottle. It reminds me of the looking at the ocean with the sun shining down from above. It truly sparkles. I think this fragrance would be great for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. You owe it to yourself to go test it and check it out. Well done designer fragrance by Perry Ellis!

This is my first go around with this fragrance. I literally picked this one up because I never had it before, never even smelled it ( so it was a blind buy ) and, I love this color of blue. This smells the way you’d think, a fresh, aquatic smell that is pleasing to the senses and not overbearing. It starts with a strong synthetic, generic smell that calms down shortly after to a cool, safe, aquatic smell. As for longevity, I'm surprised that some say it doesn't last long. I tested it on my forearm one day, and 8+ hours later, I could still smell it. Either people really have diff. skin or something's not right with their batch. Edit: 2024... Revising the longevity part of this review. Been a heatwave here in NY the past few weeks ( on and off ) and I do notice the fragrance hasn't held up and does fade away after an hour or so. So, you definitely need to re-apply. With this being an aqua fragrance, you can't overdo it so, spray away. Best suited for the warmer times. A summer fragrance for sure. To me, this is nice to have and wear out. In the future though, i wouldn't run out for it again, not because it is bad, it just isn't "as good" as I would like an aquatic to be ( like a Polo Sport for example )

I got the chance to test Perry Ellis Aqua yesterday, and was actually slightly impressed with the quality of this juice. Definitely better than I was expecting. Smooth aquatic (of course!) with a nice musky base that makes it more masculine and interesting than the typical mainstream fruity/aquatic/summer colognes. Unfortunately, the longevity issues others were talking about are true, but I could smell very faint traces of Aqua about 7-8 hours after I applied it to my wrist. I would never pay full retail price for this stuff, but if I find it at discount stores for $20 or less, I may definitely get a bottle. Edit: Well, I finally got a bottle of this stuff. I consider it a very good summer aquatic. It would be an excellent fragrance, if it weren't for the very poor longevity. I spray this on generously and while it is strong at first, it quickly fades to nothing after a few hours. Oh well, I really like the smell, so I'll just reapply frequently.

This one doesn't seem all that different from the other aquatics out there, BUT there is one distinction: it is my girlfriend's absolute favorite. We've smelled a ton of designer scents (and a few niche) and this is the one that stuck with her, so I went back and bought it. The open is fresh citrus and after about a minute, there is a salty note that appears (I guess seawater) to give it some depth. There is a little fresh/spicy thing going on along with the seawater note that makes for a pleasant scent. After about an hour, the drydown is very nice, refreshing and cooling for summer. The projection on this one is weak, I used 4 sprays and there wasnt much projection -but the longevity isn't too bad on my skin. After a few hours it turns into a skin scent, but I can still faintly smell it on my arm 13 hours after spraying. So, this one wont be anything special for most people, but if you're looking for a summer aquatic, check this one out.

Do you want to know what this fragrance scent likes? Bring a gallon of water and add a drop of lemon juice to it and you will get this fragrance. Closer to a light cologne than an Eau de Toilette. Bright summer fragrance and the color of the bottle is great but the scent only lasts for a few moments. Suitable for use while walking, visiting the beach, swimming pool and gym. Great choice for sinus sufferers. The price is around $30 for a 100ml bottle on the Perry Ellis website.

A typical, generic attempt at a "fresh" scent. An aromatic fougere, where they try to mix woody & aquatic/fresh notes together. While the end product is a fresh woody scent, don't expect an AdG Profumo-kind of fragrance. The whole scent feels synthetic & almost no clear notes stands out other than Lavender. Reminds me a lot of Davidoff's Cool Water. Both share sea note & lavender as main notes. Nonetheless, the scent in clean & comfortable to wear. A like & pass from me.

This was my first fragrance buy when I started using cologne couple years ago. Safe blind buy or first purchase, smells good, good price and I've had several women compliment me about it. Nothing special but it gets the job done nicely.

I purchased this today for $10 at Ross (1.7 oz bottle). It's a pretty nice fragrance from what I've smelled so far. The bottle, however, is gorgeous. Definitely worth getting if you find it at a good price.

This is a good cologne. I like the scent and so does my wife. I might have to get this one but SAMs Club had the tester but was sold out. Price was reasonable as well. Great summer scent.

You know the smell on you when you've just gotten out of a pool? Now imagine if that scent actually smelled pretty good. That's exactly what this smells like.

It's a fresh, aquatic, clean fragrance that lasts a decent amount of time. The sillage is great and it's not overpowering at all. I like it.

Quick review : Fresh, safe, girls love it. 22$, 8/10, does the job. Hard to find a girl, who will not like this one. Good Luck.

Be warned, this is extremely synthetic and despite being rather well suited for a warm summer afternoon, there's no real versatility or distinguishing personality about this one that makes it worth your while. Longevity is rather decent at 5-8 hours on average with moderate projection the first hour and a half of wear before receding to a skin scent. When accompanied with the body wash sillge improves to moderate for most of the wear, but the highly synthetic nature of the lavender makes it rather disappointing and destroys the more enjoyable citrus and oceanic top once the middle asserts itself. Simply not worth getting at regular price, use discretion and buy only if heavily discounted as there are far better performing and enjoyable aromatic acquatics on the market for less money that will captivate you far longer.

Perry Ellis has had a line of good to great fragrances in the past in my opinion but this one is not in that category.. For this fragrance to have come out this year, it lacks originality as it has very similar notes to aquatic scents that are better, have had their share of success, and have been on the market for years.. I was disappointed with this one and it makes it even worse that it does indeed appear to be weak in production. When I tried it at Macy's it was easily overpowered by other scents.

The scent of this fragrance is like any other aqua colognes. It opens up with sea water and lime and then dries down to the cedar and musk. It smells nice and is actually one of my most complimented fragrances but the longevity is moderate(4-5 hours) and has poor projection and sillage. My friend had to smell it from 1 cm away just to catch a scent. Just keep reapplying throughout the day and you'll be good. Scent 7/10 Performance 5/10

I bought this for $`19.99 for a 50ml and it smells like nothing! Is my bottle bad, or did they change it from meh to worse in a decade since it came out? I don't get the notes detected(or any). After the wonderful Perry Ellis 18 Intense or w/e it's called, I expected more than this pitiful tap water. Safe for the office because no one will smell a thing and will fall asleep before telling you to leave it at home. Generic would be if it had something noticeable to huff. Complete waste of $20 which could have bought a better l'il cheapie.

I thought I would weigh in on this little Gem. That's right. It's a Gem. I bought this fragrance sometime ago in a gift set from Ross. It was on sale from it's already low price. It came with a 3.4 oz EDT, a mini travel spray EDT, and a generous body spray. I used the EDT once that day and kind of wrote it off. However, I after spraying the body spray was I some what surprised as at the time it appeared to be stronger and to have more character then the EDT. So over the couple of years of owning this fragrance I would use the body spray to freshen up my bathroom, and that was about it. Then one day I found myself about ready to go on a mini trip with a group of friends I don't get to see that often, and a few others were going to be there I didn't know at all, and it was the first time meeting them. I told myself to not bring any strong scent as I didn't want to offend anyone. Though I wanted to smell clean. So who cares about longevity. So I spray the EDT from the 3.4 a couple of times on my chest, and once on each wrist, and a couple of times on my shirt. 6 shots. No biggie because this thing doesn't project right? Very wrong. Keep in mind this was towards the end of Autumn and it was turning evening time as I was leaving the house with this on, and though it's billed as a summer freshy. This caught to cool almost mildly chilly air perfectly and really started to push off of my skin and shirt. So much so I was a bit worried that it would be to much. Thankfully no one said anything. So with this in mind, since I only brought the travel spray with me (Perry Ellis makes some good travel sprays). I sprayed once on my chest, once on one wrist and touched that wrist on to the other (not rubbing of course), and one on my shirt. So this time. A total of 3 sprays. I must say this smelled very nicely and not over powering, yet lasted all day and into the night and could smell it on me before I went to sleep. No one complained and for me I created a scent memory. Every time I think of that trip I think of this scent, and now it's one my favorites though I have many other more expensive fragrances. This is proof you don't have to spend a lot of money to smell good, and if someone wanted to have a few signature scents in their rotation that didn't cost a lot of money. I would suggest this one to be apart of that rotation. It's a great year round daily driver and works in autumn and winter though it's billed as a spring/summer freshy. It has an addictive smell where you can smell the lime and watery notes mingling well together. I always wanted to find a fragrance that I thought would smell really really nice and clean scent like one you would think would be piped in a department store like A&F Fierce. No. Not the smell itself but something completely different with the same effect. This some what does it for me. No it doesn't smell like fierce at all, but I can pictures this stuff sprayed on clothes and thoughtout a store producing an addictive and very nice fresh smell, and the reason being there is something about this when it's wafting off my skin that is slightly unique enough for it to not remind me of other fragrances I have. So I will always buy another bottle or gift set when my bottle runs out. Again, you don't have to spend a fortune to smell good, and this secent proves it. Everyone's skin chemistry is different, but I think people write this off as a poor performer to soon. My suggestion is wear this out somewhere you just want to smell clean and non-effensive, and just see what happens. Also try different seasons as well. Oh, and this group of friends, since I don't see them but a handful of times a years. I make sure I wear this scent when with them, and they never said a word until we were at dinner once, and this person with bad B.O. walked passed our table. To which most of us commented about the smell. The, one of my friends turned to me and said. "Now you though. You always smell so good and so clean. It's always a pleasure to sit next to you because you always smell very nice." I think if that person with B.O. didn't walk by they wouldn't have said anything about my scent. Why? Probably because though it projects, it controlled if that makes scense. It smells nice, without being offensive. Which was what I was going for. However, if you really want to get noticed. Go with a few more sprays and people will notice. Ladies seem to like this one on me.

This is generic.. but nice. In the opening I get a Mont Blanc Legend vibe, just brighter, much more aquatic and with more citrus. It does smell similar to Penguin Premium Blend to my nose, although less synthetic and softer. If I had to pick one out of the three I would say Mont Blanc takes the cake.. but as a spring summer scent this one might beat them out for it’s more refreshing qualities. It’s definitely aqua imo. Fresh and clean, with a body wash vibe that’s not headache inducing. I see that it’s being compared to Nautica Blue as well and I can definitely understand why. It’s much lighter and easier on the nose than Blue (NB can be extremely synthetic up close) and for a hot day or night.. not my thing. It opens with citrus and lavender which makes me surprised MB Legend isn’t on the “reminds me of”. It keeps that scent, and transitions into more marine “blue” freshness, but stays fairly linear. It has an almost sweet oceanic quality that I like. I believe the musk, ambergris, and light woodsy notes keep this one from being cloying, as they add a softer touch and makes this more “round” or creamy than any of the others mentioned. It definitely doesn’t jump off the skin or have that sharper quality that Legend, Nautica Blue, or Penguin have. Ages are high school and up, and to me it’s a younger feel, though I think it could work for most ages. Think nice summer evening walking along the waterfront after an affordable meal. Nothing to get down on one knee and propose in. Definitely spring/summer since the projection is pretty poor, and the longevity is the same (at least on me). Day to night leaning day/evening, possibly working in a club or bar as well. It reminds me of many other scents, but it smells good. If you don’t have the others mentioned and want a cheapie that’s not a scrubber this could work. Overall.. decent juice. Edit: I really like the late dry down a lot. Unfortunately by the time it gets to that stage it’s just a skin scent and I can barely pick it up. Maybe in warmer weather it’ll have more lasting power, which could push this into my summer rotation. Or.. just go heavy on the sprays. We’ll see.

The top here is a nice burst of pungent citrus flavor and synthetic oceanic accords. The first 30 minutes Perry Ellis Aqua projects very well and gives off a rather standard aromatic aquatic scent vibe but with a heavier bang of lime and synthetics that works extremely well under the sun in hot weather. The problem is the heart and base really don't have much structure, staying power or substance to them and let the top down between the 1st and 2nd hour when this collapses rather frivolously into a very generic musky woodsy dry down with a hint of synthetic lavender and the leftover residue of oceanic citrus that is fleeting towards the 3 hour mark. Was not impressed at all despite enjoying the top. An alright fragrance for hot weather but after 3 wears I have yet to see the five hour mark on this one and projection after the first half hour with 3 sprays is soft and takes some effort to distinguish, especially so during the dry-down. Can be had on the cheap online and in stores like Kohls with the deodorant stick, but even then you might as well save your money for something that performs better, like Perry Ellis 360 Red which lasts twice as long and has far more complexity and substance to it for a bit lower MSRP (Usually between $15-$25 for a 3.4 oz, $30 for a gift set with body wash and deodorant). Aqua is highly average and undistinguished despite a very promising top.

This is the epitome of the generic fresh blue aquatic. It's almost impressive how competently it presents a quintessential representation of this genre; as if Perry Ellis took every version of Chrome, Eternity, Nautica and their summer flankers and condensed them into one startlingly anonymous scent. It's not bad. Aqua possesses all the faults and assets of the standard blue freshie. Its performance is middling. It's obviously synthetic without becoming too irritating and abrasive. It begins bright blue and shiny and mellows into a softer lighter blue. It has hints of sea notes, hints of florals, the vague impression of fruit and plenty synthetic musk. It smells like a sporty body wash--you choose which one. In the end, it serves a purpose and at the same time is as pointless as can be. For $20 you can own the face of this genre, and wear it with reckless abandon whenever the mood suits you. At the same time, what you wear will be completely indistinguishable from hundreds of other entries in the genre. Sure, you could do better, but you could also do worse. If you have a hole in your wardrobe, a big, fresh, synthetic icy blue hole, this will certainly serve to plug that gap. It's the beginner's aquatic 101. Make of it what you will.

This in a nutshell is a typical cheap aquatic with very poor performance and has a VERY similar smell to Kenneth Cole Vintage Black and Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts. The best out of those 3 is easily Set Sail St. Barts and is about the same price, If you haven’t smelled those the way to describe this scent is it opens up with a very zesty,synthetic but also pleasing lime note and once this dries down it gets sweeter and just falls flat and boring. Performance on this is horrible and usually scents last a good while on my skin. This has lasted me 1-3 hours with minimal projection after 20minutes. Don’t waste your money on this and buy St Barts instead ! Overall rating —5 out of 10 ! Decent smell for a decent price but you get what you pay for with this scent.

Picked up cheat at rack store, have liked a few PE scents, wasn't expecting to be blown away, just figured a good decent summer aquatic. Maybe it's my skin, but it really smells synthetic to me. I can see why some would enjoy it, maybe it smells better a few feet away, but it is actually strong and just smells cheap to my nose. I rarely "Dislike" any frag, especially blue aquatics, but this is just not for me, doubt it will grow on me either but I will give it a chance in a few months maybe. Awesome bottle though.

My boss had on cologne and told me he was wearing this after I asked. Idk how much he put on but man... this thing was beast mode. Could smell it 6+ feet away from him, and it left a noticeable scent trail. The scent was good. Not great, but good. Aquatic fresh with some soapy lavender mixed in. Pretty generic. Unless he reapplied it was goin strong 5+ hours in. Saw that other reviewers noted poor performance; my boss’s skin must be different haha

At the very first, it smells as generic as it gets. Very aquatic, cool, and clean just like anything else out there is the same category. However, I find it very aromatically lovely after it settles down on my skin. I still cannot pinpoint exactly why it becomes captivating to me; perhaps the musk and ambergris? Anyway, I never had Perry Ellis before, so I'm glad to be the owner of this.

Very synthetic. I almost get dizzy over smelling it. It is a great scent but unfortunately I am going to have to let my 3.4oz go. Its a masculine aquatic scent, not too perfumey at all.

i feel like this smells like a BOD scent... i dont know which one and im not even sure if it is BOD im thinking of, but this smells like. friend of mine, and all i know is he wesrs BOD

this is best aquatic out there, in my opinion, in terms of scent. only problem is longevity and sillage. but scent is awesome. highly recommended

On tester strip it smells like soapy jacuzzi water to me. Not sure how it would smell on skin
