Perry Ellis m

I wanted to revisit this one again for a review. The more I wear this fragrance the more I am impressed with it for both quality and longevity. Truly... if you are telling us that this is no more than a skin scent, you either have a ph that destroys fragrances, or you didn't really give it time in public to get a reasonable response. Nope... maybe it is not a heavy scent, but I am telling you it does project well... maybe even more noticeable than some of my other "heavy hitting sillage bombs of the 80's" Many people confuse projection with nose wrenching power, and that is not the case. Don't believe me... just think of Shalimar. Shalimar can be wafted and sensed and anchored across a large room, but no one calls it a strong perfume. It's pleasant and it makes you want to find out where it's coming from. To my knowledge, this does not have any tobacco note ingredients in it, but to me it has a very strong resemblance to a fine sweet pipe tobacco. Perhaps it is the same kind of vanilla that would be used in pipe tobacco. Also on the "late" dry-down it has a very strong kinship to the smell of obsession in it's late dry-down. (I am talking about the original vintage obsession of the early 80's)I contribute that to the spice combination. And honestly, looking at the ingredients listed I would even dare say that Obsession was the target competition in the creation of this fragrance. But to me this is a much better fragrance than Obsession ever was to me, especially any current version of it. So when I want something pleasant and warm or inviting, I am reaching for this fragrance very often. This is like GOLD in a bottle... a very poorly designed bottle. Especially the cap... what silliness. The juice inside deserves something much more spectacular in presentation. But then... who knows... we may not be able to buy it for under 20 dollars a bottle.

I got a tester of this a couple years ago for $17 on Fragrancebuy.ca after Ash from Gent Scents talked about it. It was during the first Covid lockdown, so I had to blind buy it and for once, it worked out great. Perry Ellis M is a great cheapie with great performance and a great overall scent. The opening is a bit scratchy and sharp I think because the anise and the cinnamon are battling it out for dominance with cinnamon finally winning within the first 20-30 minutes. Then the vanilla starts coming out more and makes an awesome bed for the cinnamon to lie upon for the rest of the life of the fragrance. There's also a powdery woodiness in the base but the cinnamon and vanilla stick around and stand out the most. I think this is awesome, especially for the price. It could be a bit smoother in the opening but overall if you're into cinnamon and vanilla, then you'd probably love this fragrance. It projects enormously for the first 30 minutes or so and slowly dies down to about within arm's reach. The sillage is fantastic for almost the length of the fragrance. I can smell the trails when I walk around 6-8 hours into the life of the fragrance. The longevity is really quite good as well. With 6 sprays it lasts about 12 hours before it's no longer detectable to me but I'm sure if someone came close to my neck where I sprayed, they'd still be able to smell it. Scent : 8/10 Projection : 8.5/10 Sillage : 8.5/10 Longevity :10/10 This stuff is seriously underrated. If you get a chance to get a batch from a couple years ago, grab it. I can't really speak to newer batches but whatever batch I own, it's freakin' great. The sticker on the bottom is so small, I can't make out the batch but I definitely got a batch from before 2020.

I like to think of this one as my "dirty, spicy caramel". I detect all the listed notes except the fir and bergamot. The tonka and vanilla create a pleasant sweetness that softens the cinnamon blast. Vanilla, tonka, cashmeran means this is a seductively soft scent (Visit for men is my other seductively soft scent currently in rotation, which is just slightly spicier than M because of nutmeg and pink pepper). The alchemy of all these sweet notes presents a syrupy fresh caramel scent, which gets a little roughed up by vetiver, anise, and musk. It's not "wow that's caramel!" but it does remind me of making fresh caramel or of the centers of box chocolates. This is very sweet like 1Million, and, no offense, far more complex and less reliant on cinnamon to maintain its allure. From my novice understanding of the type categories, this fragrance sits at an interesting crossroads of balsamic, aromatic, and gourmand. I would not recommend a blind buy unless you regularly blind buy sweeter scents or have to have every cinnamon-vanilla there is. I got this in a lot and will more than likely finish it, but I would've been a little disappointed if I sought this out specifically, but then again cinnamon-vanilla are not a favorite accord of mine, though I consider it very nice to have this type of scent on hand. Update: this scent has really grown on me, and I reach for it more than any other winter frag because of the seductive caramel musk. I'm getting great sillage for the first two hours but I can't exactly comment on longevity because I keep layering it with so many other cool weather scents.

A Hidden Gem of Fragrance Success! ____________________________________ A wonderful blend of sweetness and woods, and a bit of an underrated secret in the perfume world. To those who say it resembles Allure, you are partially correct, as it is quite comparative only in the top notes, or within 5-10 minutes of spraying. You get the same spicy woody notes from the get go, but this soon fades down to a warm woodsy with some spices that really give it character. All in all, this cologne is a great deal for the price, and is frankly better than some of the more high dollar fragrances. If this was made by any other name, you could easily expect a $70-80 price tag set on it. As is, this one is a definite BUY, since you are getting quality, sophistication, and a mature scent with tones of playfulness within. This scent lasts for a good 6+ hours on my skin as well, and projects decently for the first 1.5-2 hours. After that, it resigns to a playful skin scent with the original tones. Spray recommendations: one to the chest, two to the neck, and one to each arm for best projection and enjoyment. One can also be added to the back of the head for better trail and cloud, but it's optional as this one does a decent enough job. Longevity: 6/10 (6+ hours) Projection: 6/10 Versatility: 7/10 (Formal/ informal...spring, fall, winter, possibly summer on a cool day) Smell: 9/10 (Sweet, woodsy, and done right!)

Sometimes I buy perfumes just because I am curious about them, after reading a review, or hearing a well stated opinion. When that happens and the perfume is inexpensive (like "m"), I just buy the flask. Porsuing a sample or a decant may be tiresome and sometimes the final expense is bigger that the cost of "the real thing". Many times, when a blind buy of an inexpensive perfume happens, I just end up with another unused scent in my closet. "m" is really inexpensive, hard or impossible to find in my country and has been extensively recommended by a Youtube reviewer that I don't really care or trust. So... I just blind ordered it a couple of years ago! "m" turned out to be a gem and I still really like it a lot. It has a strong vibe of Allure Homme, although I don't consider it a clone, with an all-around type of spiciness and sweetness that makes it particularly eclectic and versatile, besides having a scent that I particulary like. On top of it, the flask is really handy to carry in one's pocket. It could be another very aromatic gourmand with cinnamon, vanilla, tonka and star anise, but the seasoning with fir and cashmere wood proved to be very effective. All the people around me like it and it turned out to be an unexpected compliment getter. The performance isn't great, but not too bad either. Happy whiffs!

It doesn't compare very well to Allure Homme. Allure has some fresher notes that aren't included in M.(predominantly that slightly sour, but spicy smell from the ginger note in Allure). I do understand the comparison, though. Perry Ellis M has a moment in the first moments of its dry down in which it's very much like Allure, but that lasts only for a minute or so, and isn't really a fair comparison. I'm pleasantly surprised by M. I bought it without trying as a replacement for Allure... and it's not. But I'm not disappointed, though. Not at all. It really is a great scent in its own right. I love that warmth and spiciness cut by some freshness and a bit of sweetness (which is more jasmine than vanilla on my skin). Because of that fresh sweetness, it would work in summer as well (though it's considered more of a winter-scent) As said before: longevity truly is incredible. It will easily last the day. It would probably last for days, if there wasn't something like personal hygiene to get in its way. I highly recommend this scent. It is a wonderful scent and although it doesn't compare to Allure, it does truly stand up to it. Now, knowing all that, consider its price. Unbelievable.

I'd seen a few reviews on YouTube of this fragrance and also realized that I needed more fragrances to be an autumn scent. A*Men is typically my go to for when those earthy tones and season come about, so typically something gourmand and non-cloying sweetness. What really interested me was the comparison with Chanel Allure Homme which I do enjoy, but find A*Men to get me more compliments and a bit more affordable. I came across this fragrance when out and about and going into a local Ross; $15. My concern was the anise note in the makeup of this juice. First spray is very strong and I get a blast of cinnamon and anise note which the cinnamon did great in making the anise less cloying to me. It's a strong top note composition and I don't particularly like anise or licorice smells. It starts to settle into the vanilla and tonka bean very well after some dry down. I can still catch hints of anise, but it is not as bad with the base notes coming in. I've had it on for about 4 hours now and it is still projecting and is very smooth and sweet, but not cloying. Very much like this fragrance and is for sure in the autumn lineup for me. 8/10 for me!

They were around $20 during co-19 on your usual discounters. I only bought it cause this site mentioned it smelled like Allure, my favorite fragrance BEFORE it was reformulated years ago. Those of you who know Allure in the mid 2000s know what a masterpiece that was. Super strong, hardcore trail. Anyways M by Perry Ellis comes super close to OG pre formulation Allure as in its very dense and strong. If this had some sweetness, this would be flying off the shelves these days. But I don't want the sweetness, what's missing is the subtle peach note in Allure (not detectable in recent Allure batches) and that makes all the difference. I was very close to selling M just because it was so strong and then I realized for the price this was, and probably going higher than $20 bucks these days lol, I was lucky to own this. This was Perry Ellis's best creation. In the fragrance world, a budget brand, but in the mid 2000s they were quality, they were like Azzaro of today, and this does not smell cheap at all, this was a niche' version of OG Allure in disguise.

Absolutely superb scent for the fall! And one of the best values on the market. I paid $13 shipped for a 3.4 tester on ebay. How can you beat that? I couldn't be happier. I'll admit my wife and I expected an average scent but this blows my mind. The composition and performance far exceeded our expectations. It does remind me a lot of Boss #6, they both share cinnamon, vanilla, and other notes related to the autumn season in New England. I'm not saying they smell exactly alike, because they don't by any means. At the top they are similar, but in the middle and base notes they go in different directions, and I enjoy them both a lot. Basically if you like the following fragrances, chances are you're going to love Perry Ellis M.... Boss #6, JHL by Aramis, Cinnabar, Witness by Jacques Bogart. All of those fragrances offer a similar vibe in a different way. And if you like those fragrances you can blind buy Perry Ellis M with confidence. I guarantee it!

I bought a small bottle of this in 2017 but I gave it away for some reason. Maybe I wasn’t impressed the first time but I guess it’s a good idea to buy another one for collection. We’ll, after giving it another shot I thought it smells great after you pass that harsh synthetic opening, and I am echoing the same experience of our fellow reviewers below. That dry down is just gorgeous and alluring no wonder why this is being compared to Chanel Allure Homme, which I don’t own a bottle but sampled quite a few times at the department store. Best for fall and winter especially this holiday season because of its woodsy cinnamon vibe. 9/10 a true gem 👍 As always, it’s a good idea to try before you buy if you have that option. “Let's spread the scents of peace and kindness. Love this fragrance. Mine is over 15 years old and its such a velvety smooth winter scent. The opening is an anise-licorice bomb with tonka and cinnamon. I hate anise and licorice as a spice and food, but absolutely love the smell of them. The sage and fir gives a wonderful brisk bite and really helps transitions to the more warm intimate dry down period. Perry Ellis M becomes slightly woody, warm and resinous with the vanilla and cashmere blended to a smooth velvet vibe. Thougu not listed, i catch a subtle rich caramel note. Overall, a very cozy scent. What i love is the anise is always there throughout. Ive never smelled Allure that it is a dupe of but based on descriptions, i think i will always choose M. Sillage is Strong and longevity is VERY long lasting. 12+ hours on my skin, clothes, itll last days or weeks on a jacket.

Oh Perry Ellis. You too humble! It's not just 'm'. But Mmm...mmmMMMMmm...M-Mmm...Ehaaa. The opening kicks off with two major notes. Star anise on a gorgeous heartwarming cinnamon woody base. When the star anise gets out of the way, we are dealing with an exceptional date fragrance. Also this Mama lasts a long long time. So, you don't need to go to the gents room, and reapply with an emergency vial between main course and dessert. Because dessert, you will get, in one way or another! For the price , I don't find much motivation to go full on Egoiste (which has a similar vibe). But yeah, bottle design...what's up with that? Is it so people can use it even if they don't have a date? The female version i can understand. But surely not... No, I think I need a REAL date.

I get the comparison to chanel allure homme as I owned it as well, but I prefer perry ellis m, to the chanel. Quality wise chanel definitely wins, but its a super light fragrance in scent. I sold my chanel because I couldn't smell it very well when I wore it. Perry ellis m is an excellent replacement, that projects better and lasts longer in my opinion. It also reminds me of rayane tradition insurrection wild. Or theiry mugler pure havane. Again not exactly the same but similar. My wife loves the 2 I mentioned alond with perry ellis m. She says they remind her of carmex Chapstick. The dry down to perry ellis m is excellent. For the price it is well worth picking up a bottle. I think it has been dicontinued, but you can still find it at discounters.

Just picked this up on may 1st. After reading and viewing reviews i saw this at ross for 14.99$ and said "hell,why not" This fragrance is a cross blend between allure and zino as previously mentioned. Nothing ground breaking. Just a good scent at a fair price. It's a sharp cinnamon and vanilla musk fragrance. Barely any bergamot is present. Maybe for the first 2 mins. Hardly any vetiver. And tons of coumarin(tonka). Not a bad fragrance for a cuddly scent. But there is no real depth or oomph to this edt. Longevity and sillage are average at best. But! At the this price point i would definitely choose this over jordan legend or any Cuba type fragrances. Overall i would give this a 5.5 out of 10. Not good nor bad.

It's like the best aspects of a number of popular "masculines" were taken and blended with subtlety here. For example, I don't get a clear vanilla note yet I think, there seems to be vanilla here - where is it? The result is an abstract and smooth composition that is very pleasant. And at least the drydown doesn't come across as synthetic in any way. It's the kind of scent I really like on a regular basis, whereas sometimes I don't want to wear something with an obvious note (I've got a bunch of obvious vanillic and tonka scents, for example). The other PE masculine in a similar bottle is poorly composed, IMO, but this one is exactly what I was hoping it might be, but was quite surprised that it was!

I'm not joking saying that Perry Ellis M shares the exact same drydown as Chanel Allure Homme. While Allure Homme is a little more complex because of its fresher opening in comparasion to the harsher opening of M, you simply cannot go wrong with purchasing this one. M is a little bit on the mature side, but I can see a 18-20 year old rocking this one without a problem. One of the best cheapies in out there in the market today, and a must-buy for all you compliment seekers out there! Tl;dr: If you haven't gotten your nose on this or haven't got this one in your collection, then shame on you.. Scent: 8/10 Performance: 7/10 Versatility: 7/10 Overall: ☆☆☆☆ out of 5

Bought a back up of this and so glad I did, hated the opening on the first bottle as it smelt acidic and spoilt but dried down to a fantastic masculine scent. Having just received the second bottle I realise the first is indeed spoilt either in sun or heat as the juice is lighter in the second bottle and the opening so much fresher... such an addictive fragrance and great value proposition. I suppose the spoilt bottle is somewhat to be expected given the age of fragrances like this, the plastic covers in both were brittle as hell crumbling at the slightest touch even though they were both in tins.

What a great frag to have in my collection,,got coachhrob to thank for this one, check out his YouTube Chanel. This is lovely from top to bottom, I almost get a feeling of Burberry London in the mid, but the cinnamon takes back over as the dominant note,with a bit of powder in the dry down. Great longevity with this and you get a good amount of time to enjoy each stage of the drydown . Overall this is a great scent if you wanna impress ,,just lovely and I'm gonna wear the death out of his in the fall and winter..8 out of 10,,great stuff..

This thing was a huge love and signature for me in 2014 when it could be had for $15. I splurged and bought a giftset for $27 (with expired deodorant and bodywash). If you search on Basenotes, you'll see me praising this thing before it was highlighted by a YouTuber (same username on BN). The opening reminded me of a black permanent marker... not too appealing, but within 20-30 seconds, it turns into a bright, lovely vanilla with amicable spice rounding it out. It's very, very cozy to me. Definitely similar to Allure Homme Chanel.

It's a beast with a great bang for your buck! The scent transports me to a winter outdoor Christmas festival that typifies a spicy, warm palette of anise and cinnamon which then mellows into a heavenly, almost other-worldly vanilla/cashmere aroma in the dry down which will have you thinking this juice is from a high-end fragrance house. A blind buy worth every penny of $13.00. Projection is a beast. Sillage is intoxicating. Longevity on skin 6-8 hours; on clothes into the next day. The scent, for the price, is a 10. Wow, just wow!

Wow, I'm surprised I haven't worn this one in awhile. This is really nice! Smells like an expensive designer frag, but for pennies. The cinnamon and anise really stand out in this one. Perfect for warm weather evening use, and will definitely garner attention. Be careful, though: This one is really strong! I go for two sprays maximum; any more than that is cloying. I really do need to start wearing this one more often. And here I was looking for a new evening cologne when I already had a nice one all along.

Picked this up for 14 dollars a while ago and I am totally content. This is clearly inspired by allure (even the color scheme kinda matches up) but It also makes me think of boss bottled without the apple. The sweet cinnamon combined with the tonka and vanilla make me feel like a humanoid cinnamon bun. The bottle resembles a steampunk robot dildo. But as far as creamy spicy masculine scents this is nice and performs well above its pay grade. Recommended and one of the nicest cheapies in my collection!

About as 'warm spicy' as they come. Honestly, the cinnamon is kinda overwhelming on the opening, but thankfully it mellows out and becomes better balanced after a while. Overall not as refined and complex as Allure, but still a great scent if you like warm spicy and slightly gourmandish scents. Note: the review below this one originally mentioned Perry Man. The bottle on that one is similar to M (like a lot of other early 00s Perry Ellis releases), but it's a completely different scent.

Perry Ellis M stands up for me as one of the best bargain bin scents for under $20. To my nose it does a fantastic job of evoking fall in a bottle. While I can see this as being versatile and worn for many different occasions for me it's best suited as a nighttime casual drinks/bar type of scent. Just about any age group can pull this off. I agree that there is some similarity to Chanel Allure but it's not a cheaper substitute/clone. This one is very much it's own fragrance. 7.5/10

I don't care what this compared to. This smells good to my nose. PERIOD. Sweet, spicy cinnamon and pepper. The ladies dig it and so do I. I wear this gem in the cold weather months here in NY. Something about the crisp cold air just sets this off! Love that this is under the radar and a lot of people don't know about this bad boy. Kind would love for it to stay that way..LOL. My (or our for those who know of this one) little secret weapon. Nice cheapie to keep in the colletion.

I am a woman who, for certain periods of time, loves to wear men's fragrances. I fell in love with 2 at first smell -- Pi (Givenchy) & Allure (Chanel). M smells like a cross between those two. The first thing my hubby said when I sprayed it was "That smells like my Allure." It really does, but it's slightly sweet, like Pi. I initially thought it also smelled like the old (original) formulation of Obsession for women. Needless to say, this one's a keeper for me & hubby to share.

Autumn and Christmas in a bottle! I would put this one in the same category of fragrances such as Burberry London and Spicebomb. The Allure Homme comparison is spot on, but only in the beginning of the scent stage; M is really it's own fragrance. M is very prominent in the cinnamon and star anise; I also can detect a little tobacco in the background. I'm glad to be able to pull this fragrance back out again. Scent: 8 / 10 Performance: 7 / 10

Allure? ammmm... well maybe... similar vibe but different scent. But better in my opinion. Not better if you dig your nose into it or over apply because its very synthetic. But Allure is too powdery to me. Not better performance wise of course thats why you may need a decant. I'd rather people not compare this to Allure Homme though, its different and for the price... man its a no brainer! get online now and buy one!

Purchased today at Ross for $20. I have to say this stuff is amazing! I've been wanting Chanel allure but didn't want to spend a hundred on it. Seen a couple of comparison vids on YouTube and decided to give M a shot, and soooo glad I did! M is basically Allure but instead of the citrus in the opening of a Allure you get dried fruits & M, 15 min into it its identical to Allure but at 1/5 of the PRICE!.. STOKED

i just received mine, in my skin for only 20 mins, i have the same impression as the reviewer right below me, this is charming to my senses, i have vanilla predominant and bergamont .Not as rich as some others more expensive frags but for $20 its a nice blind buy. i wish to find a frag with the opening of M alone, its wonderful but disappears very quick.

Simply brilliant. This is textbook example of how cinnamon should be done in a fragrance. Warm, spicy (cinnamon), fresh (star anise, bergamot) and sweet (vanilla). So inviting, captivating even. A great winter fragrance. Sillage is very good, longevity is unbelieveable (12 hours easily). Extremely underrated.

Really not much too add after 007 Peter's very detailed report on this. PEM gives off a nice, warm, vanilla/cinnamon vibe that really can't be beat. it's longevity is way beyond what one would expect at this price point and it gets its share of compliments. A winner in my book.

I know this has been compared to Allure Pour Homme, and sadly I don't even know what that scent is yet. But, I can say it reminds me of a softer Zino Davidoff. Dark, spicy, woody, sensual. Not saying they are twins by any means, but maybe cousins. A softer cousin at that.

At first spray starts off a bit spicy and peppery, dries down quickly to something close to beautiful. Really outstanding scent here. This scent is blended very well, another gem from Mr Ellis. Scent 8.5 Longevity 7 Sillage 6.5 Quality 8

Smells similar to Allure Homme with the vanilla and tonka, but it just doesn't have the citrus kick that Allure Homme has which kind of separates the two, nevertheless a great cost effective alternative to Allure Homme

Vera godo And underrated fragrance! The opening resembles a lot allure homme... But the basenotes isn't as powdery as allure is... Neverthless, a good fragrance with great price (i paid 20 dollars!)

This probably won’t make sense but this just smells so cozy. I want to overspray myself while wearing a sweater and give everybody a hug when it’s a little cool outside.

EXTREMELLY UNDERRATED. If you really want to get compliments from the ladies, wear this. It is fresh, sweet and warm, a contradiction itself, beautiful and long lasting.

The opening is so chemical and harsh it legit burns my nose. But it quickly dries down to a sensational scent. Highly underrated fragrance.

For the price point and for how good this smells, it is a SIN to not have this in your collection!

this Fragrance smells veyr beautiful, is very longlasting, Charming

M starts out a bit dirty/pissy (anise/tonka clashing?), so don't put your nose in it right away, and withhold judgement for at least a good 15 minutes as the initial edge blows off. (side note: bottle is ok if a bit cheap, but the sprayer is balky as hell, one of the worst I've tried.) Once you get past the opening, M presents as a fresh and deceptively persistent sweet spicy balance, with a bit of tartness and bitterness to bring it to a nice balance overall. The sweet, synthetic woody accord of vanilla and cashmere wood is unmistakably the most dominant player in M's blend, cradling a muted spice layer featuring an anise note that somewhat dominates a more transparent cinnamon. Sage and vetiver probably account for the subtle bitterness I also pick up, which in spite of not being my favorite combination, does help prevent M from getting too cloying. There's also a thin veneer of that kind of minty play doh version of tonka bean which I don't really care for, but which fades into the dry down. The entirety is brightened by a very welcome and needed bergamot, the effect of which is like baking fresh squeezed lemon juice into an apple pie. TBH, I wouldn't mind a bit more bergamot or lemon in there. Over time, the sweet spice aspect plays up a bit more (but never really dominating), with the bitter/herbal/tonka progressively dialing down, leaving you with a pleasant, clean and sweet spice scent, which can persist for a good 8-12 hours, complete with average projection and sillage. Think, that space between 1 Million and Boss Bottled, and you'll have a pretty good idea of where this one lands in the dry down. Not a bad place... I wasn't expecting niche quality, but this is much better than the ~$15 price tag would suggest. Zero complaints about either the scent or performance. It's not exactly a world-beater scent (good, not great), but it's a decent enough "casual autumnal daily driver." Count me among those who enjoy the nice evolution of Perry Ellis M, and appreciate it for the steal that it is. I am not yet familiar with Allure (which M supposedly is a clone of), although my experience so far with M leads me to want to try it now.

If you're looking for some diversity on a budget, this is another score for Perry Ellis. I had 360 Red in my rotation through the summer, and I can tell that 'm' is going to be a good cheapie ($16!) for the colder months. I can't stress "cold" enough, because I got a bit anxious to try this right when I got it, and it's been unseasonably warm this September. Big mistake. It'll make you gag after a while. Don't even touch this stuff if there's even a threat of the temperatures rising above 70 degrees. Mid 60s and below, or the vanilla and anise can become sickening. The bergamot and star anise settle down over the first 60-90 mins on my skin, but the anise sticks around as more of a role player in the creamy cinnamon/vanilla vibe that defines this fragrance. I feel like an elegant cinnamon bun with this stuff on me. It's sexy enough for dates or casual nights at the bar, but I suspect it will be diverse enough for daytime use, especially in the winter. I have received 1 compliment, which is good considering that I've only had a few chances to wear it thus far. Projection isn't beastly, but it seems to leave a nice trail behind. It maintains it's projection for 3-5 hours before settling down for another 2-3 hours. Respectable performance that's on par with what 360 Red gave me over the summer. The bottle is kinda doofy looking. The sprayer sucks, just like the 360 line. Overall packaging is actually pretty good for the price. Overall I'd say this is a low risk/high reward purchase if you find yourself needing a change-of-pace fragrance as we enter the colder months.

A nice cinnamon spiced vanilla. This is what I'd hoped Yves Saint Laurent's Opium had smelled like. I smell the cinnamon and it's a bit spicy for my tastes at first but then dries down to a very pleasant, pleasing, softly spiced vanilla. Where Opium also opens way too harsh and stays that way for an unpleasant hour, this ones settles quickly to a nice scent. And that's a big deal. Opium is such a mess for an hour that I have given up on it. If a fragrance is going to open harsh, it needs to settle quickly for me or I'll punt it. I know someone is going to let out a blood -curdling cry about this being nothing like Opium. Bear with me, I'm not familiar with a 1000 different fragrances so my reference point for a spicy vanilla is Opium and this, Perry Ellis M. That's all I have at the moment in the way of comparison for this mix of notes and I own both. Well, until I sell my Opium minus 6 sprays (all I could stomach) on eBay. Of the two, I'll take M any day. Opium, to me, is 80's women's perfume ratcheted up to a 10 on the cloying scale with a nice dry down an hour later. M starts presenting a pleasant vanilla after 10-15 minutes. M does spicy vanilla quite well and I think it wil really shine in the colder months. So, no, they shouldn't be compared as being similar scents but in being similar because both try to be spicy vanilla. M just does a good job of it. Found this at Ross for $14.99. At that price, I think it's punching way above it's price class and is a tremendous value.

Blind bought this after watching a few reviews on Youtube while searching for a gift for my boyfriend. Was going to order it from Amazon but today I saw it for $20 at Ross and had to buy it!(Fate?..lol) As soon as i got in the car with my purchase i had to open and smell it and no lie, my 1st reaction was 2 words out loud...."HELL YEAH". LOL. This smells soooooo goooood. Sexy, seductive, man in a bottle. This is an alluring spicy "I want to eat you" kind of a scent. The cinnamon is not a feminine bakery kind of cinnamon but a spicy almost peppery kind of vibe instead. Think creamy chai latte or a stick of Big Red gum kind of spice... Just Yummy and EDIBLE. Perfect for a date night. Men, BUY THIS. Women will love it. I know I do. I'm giving this to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day this year and can't wait to smell this on him. Very sexy fragrance for a man... I'd say best for a man in his later 20's and up. EDIT: I love this so much I bought a bottle for myself! I get compliments when wearing this too. Perfect for winter nights. :)

This is an update. I finally got around to trying this scent and as I said before this is an entirely masculine but sweet scent. It is also a new member of the powerhouse league for me. My initial test was on a white tissue. The scent was noticable but not over whelming in the room for over 12 hours. Noticable when standing within 3 feet for another 4 hours and hand held for another 4 hours. Next I put on 2 light sprays after shaving and by the time I finished dressing grabbed my essentials and got in the car it had begun to setttle into a terrific mellow scent. 4 complements before getting home late/early. Still on my skin when I woke up. 5 star performance. The dry down was delicious. Sort of smells like cookies. It really smells like it is from a more expensive house. I got it at Ross in a broken box for $10. Have ordered a gift set for $28. EDT, Balm, deoderant, and sampler for the DOPP kit. If you like a masculine sweet scent and like girls asklng if they can lick your neck you may like this.
