Patchouli & Cedar of Tweed

That's very beautiful! The first chord after application is sharp, a little bitter, there is something of a medicine. But literally after a few minutes, patchouli reveals its most beautiful notes. (I want to point out that I love patchouli) I can't take my nose off my wrist. It seems to me that I found the same notes as in Mon parfum cheri par camille Goutal, which is now almost impossible to buy.

This perfume is the one with the most beautiful patchouli scent for me. It's so natural, so simple, and so classy. The ingredients are clearly high-quality. It lasts 5-6 hours, and while not very long, the spread is satisfactory. I use this perfume to spray on my suit during the fall and winter months. It's a clean fragrance that's universally appealing.

This fragrance is so promising, all dark and woodsy and cedar-y, nice rich brown bottle, even the 10ml bottle I bought is dark brown. And the first 15 minute blast is just glorious; you really think you're going to get the real bomb you're expecting with all those notes. And the grapefruit rush is great; I always wondered why more perfumers don't put it in woody fragrances. But then 30 minute later it's just gone. The person who said she kept smelling her wrists may be doing it because that's the only place she could smell this fragrance. Two hours later there is barely a trace of it on my wrists, and I tried spraying more of it and waiting another 2 hours and nothing again. So I sprayed on Etat Libre d'Orange's 500 Years, a great go to dark fragrance at any time, and now 13 hours later I still smell bits of it wafting near my nose. I bought this 10ml bottle (packaged by PH Perfumes, not a decant) at least 2 years ago and don't remember trying it again since my first foray with it, when I'd marked it "dislike." When I first sprayed it this morning I thought of changing the rating up to OK, but I really dislike a fragrance that doesn't stay around at least 3 hours. It's annoying, no matter how good it smells for 30 minutes.

Opens very animalic, almost faecal. Lots of patchouli and musk in there. Leather is also very present. Half way between Camel Zoologist and Dunhil Icon for some reason. Drydown is more gentle.
