Nice green woody smell. The cardamom is quite strong on me, and the rose plays really nicely with the tea - it's not at all cloying. Best for summer, but I think this would suit any time of year. Fades very quickly.

Something of a scented bait 'n switch scam, I fear - and I do genuinely like it. Freaky - the *only* thing I smell from the pyramid given here is a slight tinge of cardamom; on my skin, this is simply an interestingly ashy, gently sweet light rose scent with an unusually mellow and whispery aura. Tea? Myrrh? Where? To my nose, a lovely tasteful pastel drawing, but it wasn't at all as billed ... no detectable woods or resins, which were what I was really hoping for. Certainly classy, discreet, unisex skewing femme, performance a little on the weak side - projection's never huge and lasting power not much past 4h, which compared to some other things from Phaedon - most notably the mighty Tabac Rouge - is downright anaemic.

One of the best tea fragrances I've encountered so far, but Cendres features not so much the drink as the dried leaves stored in a jar. It smells pleasantly green and uplifting, with facets of petitgrain (think Earl Grey), woods, tanins and a subtle whiff of smoke. It has a dry feel to it and there's a touch of bitter astringency that I find very chic. Very little sweetness, which is also a good thing in my book! Just beware that Cendres has the strength of an eau de cologne. That is not a bad thing per se, but something to keep in mind when you give this one a try. It does last long, but you have to glue your nose to your wrist to enjoy it. I would suggest wearing this as a chic and uplifting summer fragrance....

Wow, I love Cendres de The. It's woody and spicy and complex, giving me "dark academia" vibes. It's the steam rising off a cup of tea in a dark room with a stick of incense lit in the background. Slight notes of pepper and anise, as well. The main problem is that the lasting time is practically non-existent, 30 minutes later and I smell nothing. Still, the scent is beautiful and mysterious, a solid 8/10.

it could have been really good scent. But there is no cedar to speak of, and I am not convinced there is tea... so name does not mean anything. But there is a lovely note of warm cardamom. So reminds me of qawa - blond Arabic coffee with loads of cardamom.

Such a lovely scent, opening is woody with a quite heavy dose of spicy cardamom. Dries down to a smooth musky, spicy, woody scent. I would say this is similar to ''Voyage d'Hermès. Definitely unisex. Worth sampling for sure.

I love bright uplifting tea fragrances and this could be described just that way, however something in here doesn't work. The top notes seem a little like citrus/petitgrain/verbena to me and then there's a strong cedar and a hint of something more interesting perhaps the Myrrh and cardamom which actually give this fragrance some depth. It's an odd one this, I honestly don't really get it? Perfectly wearable and nothing wrong with it, the drydown has some interesting element (again I can't place?) that makes it seem very high quality. It could be rose? It's very very faint but that could be it. It's a sharp musky fragrance and I have to be brutal, I don't think I'd wear it. Longevity was okay and it's certainly a bit of an enigma.

A smart and distinguished fragrance, please note all the notes are not listed here: there are also some florals in the composition, like the quite prominent rose. If you want to picture this fragrance, just imagine the following formula: Iso e super (or cedarwood and musks, although the iso is immediately recognisable) + peppery rose and florals + a hint of Japanese tea. Overall a very pleasing and soothing fragrance, more on the feminine side due to the dose of florals. I like it. Ps. Cendres de Thé could be depicted as a floral version of "Voyage d'Hermès". At some point I even wondered whether the nose behind this fragrance was Ellena.

At first I've noticed the ozonic notes followed by resinous aroma. Cedar is also very well presented. This is overall very pretty summer masculine fragrance, or at least it stays in this way on my skin. Testing this today again (Aug 25th 19) it strongly reminds me about Hermes's Un jardin en mediterranae.

This perfume is green and fresh with a touch of woody spicy. Smell like Voyage de Hermes on my skin with not much difference.

I only feel cardamom here. The whole thing smells synthetic and sort of sickly to me. A scrubber :(
