Drama Nuui 23

Oh joy of joys! Just jasmine, heady but not sickly, sweet but not sugary, earthy but not dirty, bright but never soapy ... just right. The very very slight herbal/spice edge stops it from cloying, ever. If you don't like jasmine, then obviously steer very far clear of this one, because it's purely and simply a stunning, uncompromising, ultra-natural photorealistic treatment of that. Bewitchingly heady and not that quiet - which is a big plus, for me, as this has far more robust sillage and longevity than many a floral. (And I don't even LIKE most florals that much, but this one is just something else. Dabbed a bit of Lutens Fleur D'oranger, a rare personal love with a big dab of jasmine in, on my other wrist for comparison, and they are of equal quality and beauty imho.) Transports me, even on a filthy cold wet London day, to a warm, relaxed, sensual night on a roof terrace in a hot country. Casbah? Mughal gardens? Palace of the Shahs? The Alhambra in its Andalusian prime? This one's good enough to take you to any of those places. An absolute dream of a scent.

Ive tried loads of jasmine fragrances and I havent been able to find the right one until now. This retains whats fab about jasmine and manages to conceal the indolic or animalic aspect. Clearly some spice and artemesia are what is needed. Artemesia is a dry almost astringent note which I actually like but I cant actually pick it out here. I do though detect a touch of spice. The sillage is good but sadly the longevity only moderate. I know I do like good longevity but I am willing to go fb on this cos its just too good. If you always thought that jasmine was not for you then do give this a sniff.

The simplicity and elegance of Drama Nuui took my breath away. It is a jasmine centered fragrance although the jasmine is not overdone in this. The fragrance starts out as a crisp, refined jasmine. Absinthe (which is an anise flavored spirit derived from the flowers and leaves of the wormwood plant) gives it an ethereal quality and a bit of green (petit grain I guess) strengthens the lushness. Sandalwood and musk add some depth to the jasmine note in the dry-down but it still retains the crispiness. In a word - enchantment in a bottle. (It's already sneaked onto my want-to-buy list.):)

Very tender and interesting jasmine fragrance, it has its natural greenness and slightly smoky notes around the floral heart. I think this fragrance is as beautiful as the rest fragrances, but not so odd as his fragrances can be. I even think about this fragrance as a gift for one person who doesn't follow fragrant trends every day. This surprisingly light fragrance stays on my skin every day. All PG fragrances are of extremely high quality. I am excited!

Love from the first inhalation!!! On my skin, it is pure, beautiful jasmine... it's precisely what you would smell walking past a blossoming jasmine on a hot summer day. To me, it is a highly seductive fragrance.

Many samples have I tested, in my search for a jasmine that smells like star jasmine. I was looking for something clean and bright and a bit green. My search is now over. Drama Nuui on my skin, is perfect.

This is a truly alluring, mesmerinzing, lush and warm but cool and etheteal at the same time. It's a heady but not too indolic humid and wet-green jasmin scent with some lurking, cold & faint, slightly dusty, misty earthy tones. Just like the cool, silver beams of the moonlight is dusting the wet jasmin field and the soil. This fragrance is a beautiful jasmin interpretation. And the added wormwood/absinth note makes this humid intoxicating floral scent really mysterious, whilst it also adds an 'illuminating from the dark night' facet to the composition. But this light of the absinth what is illuminatingly glowing trought that dark, wet and humid green background of the jasmin isn't too lucid. That mysterious glow is blurred, hazy, and it's that 'fluoroscent' green type of light which always feels like a little bit lurkingly dangerous, but also bewitching at the same time. It's a deep and really intoxicating and enchanting nighblooming jasmin perfume for sensual summer evenings or secret dates at summer night. In my fantasy I can imagine this fragrance on a enigmatic, cool but also tempting and sensual woman who has misty, glowy green cat like eyes with dark black lashes. This women could have dark and cool toned, or olive toned skin with silver hair, or pale white skin with dark mossy green colorod ( -in case of gteen hair than with grey eyes) or black hair. 🌑🌿🧪⚗️🐍💦🕊

Comparing white floral masculine/unisex scents, I gravitate to jasmine and orange blossom, but this is different, while being in the genre. Is this lily of the valley? It's white floral but more watery green. It also isn't as indolic, but more perfumey with deep resonance. Gentle warm spice makes it sexy, romantic. Becomes more of a skin scent faster than it should, but so alluring. 2ND TRY: Opens deeply indolic, heavy jasmine flower. Strong & mysterious. Skin brings out masculine wet wood while fabric keeps it light perfumey. Thick honey pairs without being sweet. A bit too dated and shampoo. Not very strong, but nice catching occasional whiffs. Becomes powdery grandma floral too quickly. Amouge’s “Library Collection Opus IX” is far superior. 1ST TRY: Explodes with perfumey white flowers (needs short time to calm/meld). Radiates pure jasmine and lilac with honey in a dewy green garden. Not soapy or sugary. Bursting fragrant florals leans feminine (making me crave woody/masculine edge). Mild warm depth and dry musk adds some dimension with tiny grandma powder vibes. Credit for such gorgeously realistic jasmine/lilac. Even though it’s one-note, it’s dense. A must-try if you’re hunting for these flower notes as it’s the first I’ve found that’s so clear and pungent.

This is real Jasmin, Drama Nuui opens with a wonderful, dirty Jasmin where the natural dirtiness of Jasmin i guess is partly created by the Artemisia chord. Spices are there but fairly discrete, slightly peppery with some impression of ginger. Since Drama Nuui gave me the impression of real Jasmin I just had to compare it to a Jasmin absolute I have at home. And yes there are to my nose many similarities between the two, but to its advantage Drama Nuui is much brighter and crispier. The real Jasmin absolute, at least the sample I've got, is much darker and denser. Wearing it as perfume would be rather cloying and not very interesting. The impression I got from this experiment was that Drama Nuui is a great interpretation of Jasmin. As many great works of art it creates an enhanced version of reality, mainly by reduction but with some additions as well.

This perfume is perfectly balanced, perfectly unisex. The femininity of the jasmine is balanced by the bitterness of the artemisa. The spices round it out, I can detect some pepper. It's very fresh, can be worn year-round, but especially nice during spring/summer. I like it, but I'm not impressed enough to buy it.

Pure natural-smelling jasmine. The scent of a nighttime stroll when jasmine is in bloom. Lush, smooth and rounded. A little bit of green wet leaves. Not at all soapy or powdery. I love jasmine, and this is one of my favorites.

Alien with added ylang ylang and tuberose. Very strong white floral, falling short of the great white florals but not bad all the same.

From official website: Absinthe, Jasmine Tea, Musk, Guaiac Wood, Maté Absolute, Styrax. Compare with the notes on here! What is crucial is that this composition does not aim at a jasmine note, but a jasmine-tea one. This is an important distinction: that jasmine 'flavour' that you get in jasmine tea, which is more about how it smells in the air rather than how it tastes. I would describe it as 'oxygenated' jasmine note. To achieve this is impressive. So in effect the overall feeling is of something clean, a freshie of sorts. I get no guaiac or styrax, but base is musky. There is nothing to make this a heavy composition. Surprisingly decent longevity (8-9 hours) and ok-ish sillage. I should add, this is very different to Jasmagonda.

Drama Nuui is a jasmine fragrance. What kind of jasmine? Well let's see... What kind of slot is the Grand Canyon? What kind of summit is Mt. Everest? All three will take your breath away. But what if you like to wear perfume and breathe at the same time? Then you need to keep looking. The suffocation factor here ought to come with a warning. So alright, I'm not the biggest fan of this, my chemistry just doesn't agree. But it is well done and high quality, so I don't want to discourage anyone from trying it.

There is a slight indolic nature to the jasmine in this, and mixed with the green sweetness of Absinthe it's giving off an unfortunate hint of warm urine. I don't mind an indolic white floral, nor do I mind absinthe, but I can do without the bodily fluids. It's too bad, because I find Drama Nuui to be beautiful overall. It's just not working for me.

I think that I am about to be a little crazy, cause I have tested so many absolutly stunning perfumes the last coupple of days. Drama Nuui is no exception. It is a rich, smoth and adventourus jasminefragrance. If you like jasmine you will love this. It is so good, smells kind of natural, fresh and bright. I think that the artemisia makes it stand out a bit, makes it more daring and unforgottable. I feel a bit mystic when I wear this, and would love to match my perfume with a simple but sofisticated long white dress... This is a fragrance worthy of a beautiful female elf (like Arwen maybe?) Offcourse you must try this one too! Pronto! :) (But I kind of liked Felanilla better, but this is still very good)

Hmmm...If you like pure jasmin with a hint of spice, this frag is definitely for You-jasmin lovers!:) She's a sillage monster, sweetly choking and merciless. Loud and lush, defiant and cruel...otherwise I agree it's a quality essence, just one small drop, and you'll feel the pure jasmin smell around you all day long. I found this scent quite hard to wear,-very strong, -but I applied with VERY light hand:)-, just for daring ladies!I recommend to use this with light hand. She's a decent pair of the "black widow" Lust -Lush EdP. ..So be careful with her as well, before She's going to drown someone! ...:)

This is a beautiful, sweet and warm jasmine; very innocent without being soapy or dopey, realistic without being skanky or indolic. Personality wise this jasmine is intelligent, self contained and interesting. It's a nice trick Pierre Guillhaume pulls off here. Something that smells exactly of jasmine and nothing else while being completely unique and bristling with intelligence. Plus the quality is astounding putting off clouds of the good stuff for an entire day. Surely I don't need another jasmine perfume but if you haven't found yours yet, give this one a try.

This is a beautifully balanced indolic floral with really enjoyable bitter spicy sweet top notes that allude to gummy balsamic ideas. I am a huge artemisia green bitterness fan, and this is really well done. Drydown to very smooth woody musky powdery base, having a reasonably persistent & vivid indolic through line. As per the usual with Guillaume, progression is at a lively tempo & intensity is relatively contemplative. A very worthwhile & interesting & enjoyable reflection on jasmine.

There are few from PG that I am not crazy about. While Drama Nuui is interesting, I don't like it. My skin seems to really amplify the artemesia, a weedy scent that unfortunately smells like a dirty rodent's fur, so it is a weird mix of animalic/herbal/jasmine and I swear there is some kind of citrus as well, albeit not super obvious. I will take a pass on this.
