Citrus Musk

This is a really fantastic citrus eau de cologne. It smells just like it's titled: of citrus and musk - in this case lemon and lime and white musk. There is also tons of lemongrass in this - I've smelled lemongrass essential oil and this smells very similar (lemongrass basically smells like sweet lemon candy somewhat with a sort of green vibe, to my nose). It starts with the beautiful green-leaning citrus (due to a lot of lime note) and dries down to white musk with hint of white flowers like lily of the valley. Those are the only things I detect. This is probably better used as an aftershave than as a proper cologne though since projection and longevity are both weak. But they are stronger than regular aftershaves, but weaker than eau de colognes on the market. The citrus in this is the sweet kind, so it smells like candy sort of. This doesn't bother me however as I really like the scent anyway. If you want a ramped up version of this exact scent, try Anglia Spiced Limes. And a super ramped up version of this with beastmode projection and longevity is Mancera's Lemon Line. They both smell like Pinaud Citrus Musk but with maybe less of the musk (they also share the candy lemon and lime opening). Overall, this is my favourite from Pinaud's inexpensive cologne offerings, along with their Virgin Island Bay Rum. But this is for the summer while I think bay rum is a winter scent. I ended up mixing this with 4711 Eau de Cologne and putting it in a travel atomizer to spray on whenever I feel like it. 5/5

Probably the best Clubman around along with the Special Reserve. Citrus Musk is all of the best parts from 4711 and Alvarez Gomez Agua de Colonia with a lime kick and some light floral musk on the dry down. It lasts longer than both as well and can on occassion last for hours in the right conditions. It's also cheap as can be and readily available all over the place. As with all cheap fragrances in plastic bottles transferring them into glass bottles greatly improves the scent and performance. The problem with Clubman is the cheap plastic bottles not only impart a nasty skunky odor, they also leach who knows what into the products, so again highly recommend moving them to glass asap. Smells a lot higher end than you'd imagine and I doubt anyone could tell it costs like $10 for a massive 12oz bottle just from smelling it on someone.

Clubman Pinaud Citrus Musk, when splashed fairly liberally, lasts longer on me than most of my EDTs and projects plenty well. It also smells on the natural side and is a surprisingly smooth blend. It is a linear fragrance that stays smelling fresh, clean, and uplifting for an entire workday. It is not cheapy smelling at all. A classic that's much better than the modern scents that are designed to just smell good for a couple minites to make a quick sale. Citrus Musk has "musk" in the classic soapy sense, not animalic. My best description of this cologne would be if Jell-O came out with a scented soap intended to smell similar to Lime Jell-O. What you'll get is Lime Jell-O with significant soapiness thrown in.

Wonderful in its simplicity. Energizing, fresh and uplifting in that clean lemongrass way already written about. I'm convinced that this juice was the primary inspiration for Artisan Pure by John Varvatos. Citrus Musk lasts about as long as you'd expect an aftershave to last: but what you get for that short duration is incredible. The low price is an extra bonus. As with any Pinaud fragrance (or others that come in a plastic container), decant to a glass bottle to preserve quality. A spray bottle is my preference but liberal splashes are all good with this juice. Unless someone can't stand lemon: this is highly recommended for anyone to try in any age group, either gender. 10/10

Pinaud Citrus Musk is my personal favorite of all their Cologne and Aftershaves.. It is Truly that Barber Shop smell I was Searching For..,,, In my opinion it is the Strongest & Longest lasting Fragrance in their lineup...And I have them all.... This Juice Smells so Masculine its truly unbelievable!!....This is what men smell like after leaving the Barber Shop ...Incredible...Should be A staple in every mans lineup.. 10/10

i don't want to simply repeat what others have said. I think this scent is 'harmless' which is not meant to be a put down. It works away doing its job and i doubt it would ever cause anyone to recoil. I've started using it every day as it's cheap, lasts an hour or two and has arms length sileage. I think it's decent for what it is!

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 072 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased January 2019 Excellent after shave because it combines Clubman Musk with Clubman Lime Sec. You'll love it.

i use this on a 'day off' as it's refreshing and relatively long lasting and very good value for money. Yes, it's one dimensional (lime) but it's a smell of summer and great for hanging around the pool/beach.

you know those lime popsicles that you ate as a kid? i get that kind of smell from it, along with some floral, a great aftershave and honestly better than original clubman

I bought this on a recommendation and it is fantastic!! Very limey, lemony....with underlying and complimenting musk and florals.....SO GOOD! I want to bathe in this

Vibrant crispy lemongrass and a light almost white soapy musk, nothing in between, simple, cheap and uplifting cologne

It smells just like its called: Citrus Musk. Out of the bottle I thought that it smelled identical to Lime Sec. Once you splash it on however, it smells like grapefruit and finishes off with a nice musk scent. I would probably not get this again. I like it but I am not in love with it. If you are looking for a scent that smells just like citrus this is for you. You get a good size bottle for $13 on amazon. Still this is a classic! Pinaud Clubman Citrus Musk... ...is very similar to Pinaud Clubman Lime Sec after the initial application. After a short while the scent changes to a more succulent citrus scent with a soft musk and tonka support which makes a slightly less abbrasive than Pinaud Lime Sec. Citrus Musk is also missing that subtle woody undertone and the dryness of Lime Sec.. Overall a very nice cologne/ aftershave.

citrusy opening to the limit of acid, but soon disappears. energetic,refreshing, summery. the best for warm temperatures ... then slowly fades into floral notes and settled on a nice musky. great. 8/10

A beautiful citrus clean musk aftershave. This and Lime Sec are my go-to for Summer Time.

I'm not sure I get barbershop really from this fragrance, but I haven't spent too much time in them, so that may be why. I just get something like an eau de cologne of an eau de cologne type scent. Maybe a bit in the vein of Acqua di parma with a bit more citrus and a tad of lime. Nothing too flowery at the base, but some light body to it. Not musky, but full bodied citrus. Like an aftershave version of ADP with a bit of lime. It's actually a steal for the cost. Great Summer citrus aftershave that layers with any citrus edt or edp really that I have. Doesn't last long, but again at this price point it's really a great choice for a summer aftershave with citrus.

Finally, Pinaud has been added to fragrantica. I enjoy the whole line and wear them on vacation. As for Citrus Musk, I get musk with a hint of lemon and lime. A pleasant scent that only goes 2 1/2 hours tops, on me. I wear Pinaud because it takes me back to barbershops in the 60's, when every barber had the whole line on display along with Jeris. Always makes me smile, so worth the $7 to me!

Probably Pinaud’s best citrus fragrance, Citrus Musk has Lime Sec’s cheerful lime note mixed with an equally fun lemon, which creates a pleasant and unpretentious “7-Up” style cologne. It dries down to the soapy white musk of Lime Sec, but a touch stronger - this is more cologne than aftershave. Cheap, smells like it, but good stuff.
