Holy jackpot for the lovers of grassy oat fragrances. Beautifully sweet and calming yet effortless. Pineward knows how to tread that line between a pure gourmand and a more naturalistic outdoorsy fragrance. I asked for Hayloft for Christmas after spending the better half of this year wearing Shire but wanting something with better longevity. And oh boy- Shire and Hayloft are for sure in the same ball park yet completely different. Like Shire is right outside of Bilbo Baggins house on a crisp autumn morning and the scent of baked goods and dry leaves are mixing in the fresh air while sunlight just begins to re-warm the earth as it rises upon the horizon. But Hayloft on the other hand is like Shires richer sweeter older cousin: dry nutty grassy fragrance dripping with honey and comfort. I usually don’t like Almond notes in fragrance and while very distinct here, I love the way it blends with the hazelnut, oats, and honey. It’s like the perfect bowl of oatmeal and a cup of tea as you enjoy a quiet morning lazing in the hayloft of a barn.

Hayloft EDT - This is a beautiful green honeyed fragrance, the smell of fresh-cut hay on a farm with a distant smell of hazelnuts mixed with soothing lavender. I wore this today and was met with many compliments surrounding the uniqueness and relaxing manner of this fragrance. Well blended, meeting all the elements, and it is perfect to wear in the spring or summer, along with being office/work friendly. My dad and I both really liked this fragrance, and I might purchase it around Christmas to share it with him. I love this fragrance as it is very unique, and it brings me to a relaxed state of mind and paints a picture of beautiful farmland from a distant memory. It feels like a warm hug from a grandparent. Great scent, good performance, and reasonable prices, topped off with an interesting bottle. (Is Hayloft EDT really Shire? Im curious as I don't know what to add to my collection and both note breakdowns are similar) Scent: 9.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 6/10 Price: 7/10 Final Rating: 9/10

This opens with a sweet, airy, vanilla like oat scent. They’re powdery and sweet grains, and a dusty wheat smell follows. It smells like sacks of grains sprinkled with sugar, the breeze blowing their aroma past. This is also very nutty, you get very prominent toasted almond, and it’s specifically toasted, it’s got a warmth to it. The hazelnut is a dryer nutty accord but it works. The honey in this is fresh since it’s a lavender one, and this honey feels like a syrup. It’s not warm and heavy or rich, it’s light, sweet, and cooled. The grass and hay keep this from being too overpowering, or too sweet, it grounds it with a fresh earthiness. This is a barn loft filled with sacks of nuts, oats, and hay, with sweet jars of honey on shelves above, and grass billowing in the wind outside.

Love love love this stuff. I bought the fall 2025 set and initially put this off to the side in favor of Pastoral and Shire and Cotswold. Pretty much drank my sample of Akero. Sure wanted to. Smelled just like a nice bottle of Jones Green Apple Craft soda. I took a few months to enjoy other fragrances, then came back to my Pineward set and oh my god. Wore Hayloft one time at work and the depth and the density just stunned me. Most fragrances hit you in the nose and then sit in the background of your day, but Hayloft fills the space you're in for a moment and then it quiets down and kindly follows you around for hours. I love Hayloft. Sort of smells like buttercream frosting.

One of my new favorites from Pineward. On open its this sticky, waxy, crystallizing honey that could be too sweet for some. After it drys a bit I can pick up on that dry grassy note. The whole ordeal is a hot sunny romp in a wild flower field in late summer. Like snacking on gobs of honeycomb out on the farm under a blazing sun. It's dreamy and yummy and a must for all honey lovers like me. There is a faint floral there but not explicitly lavender to me. Theres a light minty note as well which I find compliments the sticky sweetness nicely. The perfect famers market scent and it'll be on me all season.

Freshly picked summer harvest- still being sorted into the loft for storage. Sweet hay and lavender is drying in the rafters, frames of honeycomb set out eagerly waiting to be uncapped, fresh apples and nuts are scattered under the still-green trees. Got this scent as a free sample- going off the name I was expecting something more traditionally fall aligned so its freshness was really surprising but not disappointing! The sweet grasses are really the star of the show for me- it reminds me of sweet hay that I used to feed my childhood hamster..

**SHIRE (Hayloft EDT) REVIEW** pls add it to the database already Smells like waking up in the midwestern country on a cold brisk autumn morning, 7:30am, waking up with the sun beaming thru the windows and preparing yourself some lavender honey tea, and a bowl of oatmeal and a side of seed cake for a delicious breakfast. Pineward, why did this have to be an EDT? I need to enjoy this through the whole day!! Thankfully my Hayloft dram comes soon.

This is stunning for me. I love the smell of hay and my most favorite scents have it as a note. This offering from Pineward is one of my favorites of theirs so far. It smells like laying in a haystack in the hobbit shire, smelling lavender drying from the rafters, while Gandalf smokes his pipe and you drink hot, strong tea laced with sweet honey. Your fantasy result may vary. Shire is my favorite so far but this is my second favorite :)

I’m going to sound like the biggest d rider ever, but Hayloft is quite literally perfect. What seems like to me, a gourmand hay-bale with honey and oats, is what I’d look for in any fragrance for colder weather. And with the fall coming up, I genuine might wear it everyday. Doesn’t project loudly, and lasts a moderate amount for me. Overall, another masterpiece from the house of Pineward.

if you want a perfume that feels like a warm hug, this ones for you. its truly the perfect cozy scent that youll keep coming back to, i cant stop smelling my wrist. definetly works best in the fall but id wear this any season. it gives you such a nice scent bubble too, it is on the sweeter side with the honey shining through but it is so lovely i just cant get enough. highly reccomended

This is a pleasant surprise for me. Very gourmand sweet leaning, which I like. The dry down on this one almost smells like a honey fragrance. This one is not for the Pineward perfume lovers that enjoy the fragrant wood/tree notes. Even the hay and green notes are somewhat subdued in this one, in favor of sweet dessert leaning notes.

This scent had several phases for me and all of them were very pleasant, except for the very beginning which for some reason reminded me of horseradish. A spicy (almost but not quite horseradish) scent fades to a sweet & spicy smell, which then morphs into a sweet, dried grass/hay-like scent. Nutty, warm, sweet and comforting.

10/10 wow! A honey lavender. Kinda musky woody wax in a good way. Bees wax candle. Exactly light what it says on the description. Not too heavy. Unisex and light woody. fine for the office. Not usually a honey person but this one's good. Slight aftershave note.

play hayloft by mother mother and spray this for a true immersive experience. young lovers with their legs tied up in love in the hay, but her dad has a g*n so now you run through the hayloft. 10/10

wow. hay, nutty, fresh air, florals, honey?. smells like the best cereal you will ever have in your entire life insane. For reference im recovering from a cold and my smell sence is at 1/2 capacity.

Sweet toasted granola with oats and pine nuts. Super buttery. Mimosa the flower not the drink. Super fantastic and interesting and seems wearable mmmmm Im lovin it.

Hayloft is the perfect name to encapsulate the experience of this fragrance. It has this starchy quality to it when you sniff it, kind of similar to the physical sensation of corn and hay sitting in your nose after a long day at the pumpkin patch. Mt initial experience with this fragrance was not positive; it came across as overly sweet and syrupy, which was intensely headache-inducing for me as someone prone to headaches in fragrances, and it reminded me of medicine syrup. However, after a second wear, with only two sprays, my experience has truly transformed. It is truly a 1:1 of how I thought it would smell, although slightly less hay and more honey than I thought. It provides this kind of warmth that can only be found in the coldest chapter of fall. 4/5 overall for me, but 100% worth smelling - super fun and cozy.

To love this you must love dry grass and honey. First hit of Hayloft is herbal, hay, grassy, aromatic. Drydown turns sweeter, honeyed, toasted, around a dry grassy heart. What's fascinating is the distinct layers to the scent bubble: I'm going about my day and suddenly get a whiff of the lemon and toasted coconut in Unknown Pleasures from Kerosene, a pure dessert gourmand. If I lean my head any closer to my chest, the illusion is gone and we're back to the dry grass & honey. This happened over and over, on different days. I love UP but don't take that as endorsement of Hayloft. Other than those random whiffs, they are nothing alike.

really sweet at first. then the stuff I was looking for come through, the grass, the woody and nutty and less gourmand notes. I like the campfire smell, it's like standing next to a pasture in the late afternoon in august during fire season in the Pacific Northwest, with the red sun in the sky. I got this and serge Lutens Chergui looking for a good hay scent, and I think I'l layer them- Chergui has some lavender, green, fresh notes in the opening that balance the syrupy excess of this one, and this one has a heft and natural warmth that Chergui lacks. together they make a perfect hay scent for me.
