PM

Actually I think this is rather good. I love almond/marzipan fragrances, love mimosa, and PM delivers. The sweetness is tempered by the white/yellow flower mix and unlike the poster below I find the composition coherent and pleasant. It is sweet, but far from excessively so. Chacun a son gout of course :) Where I do agree with her is that the projection and sillage are both quite strong with PM - not something to be taken for granted in a modern fragrance.

PM by Popy Moreni was gifted to me by a fellow Fragranticat, but unfortunately, the perfume is not something I can enjoy. The fragrance starts out with a mix of herbal, sharp and green notes and a nondescript sweetness. After about 2 hours PM has morphed into an extremely sweet (and yellow) concoction that reminds me of marzipan, sun (!), lilac and soap. The sharp aldehydes that do not seem to play well with the other notes can still be smelled here and there. I think that PM could pass as a sweet gourmand fragrance for young ladies if it were not for the aldehydes which, in my opinion, are somehow misplaced in this composition. Still, there are lots of better EDTs and body sprays available for sweet gourmand lovers. As PM is still on the market, almost 10 years after its launch, I am sure it attracts buyers. But because of the very unusual mix of aldehydes and sweetness I cannot think of any target group that it might appeal to. On a positive note: Good longevity and sillage!
