1 Million

That's my first serious fragrance that I rocked for my entire high school, so I already know what to say about it First of all, anyone who reads this review, just stop for a moment, open another tab, enter Paco Rabanne 1 Million ad, and get your best 30 seconds of the day. Seriously, this is the only ad that I’m occasionally willing to watch. Absolutely incredible capture of the MTV-era of the early 2000s, which was my favorite time in terms of style, cars, overall vibe and of course fragrances. It was genuinely feeling like a reality movie, and 1 Million definitely played its role in the whole atmosphere I believe I also don’t need to list the notes, as literally everyone knows that it’s a diabolically sweet essence of sex with seductive pepper. Believe me, you don’t need to check it any further or compare it with pyramid. This is one of the fragrances that currently appeals by its cultural status, rather than composition And the bottle. This is the only incident since the gold rush when so many homes held gold bars on their shelves. However, the folks at Paco decided that the liquid itself was already too good, so they made a bar out of pyrite with a blatantly bad atomizer. “1 Million Piss” isn’t just a meme - it’s literally reality Well, now even I must write a line that 90% of people are looking for in a fragrance review: yes, it’s 10/10, a magnet for women, and an absolute beast with nuclear performance. I’m not kidding about any of the takes here. I got so many compliments on this one that none of my other fragrances could pull out from young ladies It’s also funny that I was using Brown Chocolate Axe (everyone who’s been near me at that time, I’m sincerely sorry for this), and pretty often confused people when I said that I’m not wearing Paco right now, but literally $1 deodorant. I don’t know, either it was me and my charisma, or girls in fact love a hundred bucks fragrance and the smell of boys changing rooms equally One way or another, I’m convinced that this is the perfect signature for younger folks, who can even be tolerated with wearing this during hot weather - the target audience of these who you’re supposed to impress will take it with no questions. Otherwise, you must be looking, moving, and living exactly like Mat Gordon from the ad Surprisingly, it has stood the test of time for me: not that sweet how everyone says, can compete with SWY Intensely and JPG Le Male Elixir as a winter/clubbing fragrance, meanwhile being... outdated? 1 million is a fellow sufferer of Sauvage, with just one change: it’s not a white noise of big town, but dark noise of a nightclub... The fact is, give it another 10 years, so the guys who remember the hype will already be at their countryside homes, and you’ll impress everyone with this scent

I bought this in February 2020 after JRTC, I immediately opened it and sprayed myself, only 2 sprays. 30 minutes later I'm at a very crowded pizza place on base, probably 50 people in one medium sized location, line is out the door. Finally my turn to go to the counter, before I can even say a word to the girl working about to take my order, she comments on how nice I smell. In a completely packed pizza place, surrounded by a ton of dudes about to go out drinking after a 2 week military exercise, covered in colognes and whatever else all these guys think will pull the ladies, I am the one getting told how nice I smell. I of course was curious if she is just a friendly worker, so I just kept my ears open while I waited for my food, no one else got any type of compliment, just what can I get you, that will be X price. From the first wear, to the continued use of that same bottle that I still have to this day, no other fragrance has ever been commented on so positively and so frequently, by friends and strangers alike, more than this. I very strongly believe, this fragrance performs its absolute best, with 1 - 2 sprays. Most times, I will use a singular spray, directed at the front of my neck / shirt collar and that 1 singular spray will last an entire work day, even while smoking cigs. Nearing the end of my day I have many times been casually complimented by people unknown to me in my workplace who happened to come into where I was working. Its always the same, they come into the room, "wow it smells so good in here, what is that?" Then I respond with however I'm feeling to respond that day. I read other peoples comments about this cologne that aren't positive, and I don't know how its possible for peoples noses to just be so wrong. I recently went to a Sephora and smelled all the different 1 Million types that they have nowadays, nothing compares to the OG. I can't comment on newer batches, as mine was purchased in 2020. My Fiancé has while being with me smelled every common designer / niche fragrance accessible to us, and has yet to find something that smells better than this. If you smell this and its just not your absolute favourite, I can understand that, but if you say you don't like how this smells? You are just wrong and nothing you say about smells can ever be trusted. The ultimate compliment getter, the longest lasting requiring only a single spray. If you have money for one single fragrance, this is the one you need to buy.

I don't like to go on "fragrance fueled" rants but I can't hold my tongue any longer. I'm sure i'll catch some negative feedback for this but here goes: The reviews here trashing 1 Million are insane. Just because tons of people rock this doesn't make it unworthy. That's the tell tale sign that a frag is great. This one is unique, priced right, great quality, performance, and creates a certain atmosphere. If this was a niche frag or a Tom Ford, you frag snobs would be all over it. Granted, the bottle is tacky but the name is fitting. Guys my age feel like their worth a million bucks when girls lean in close because we smell awesome. No other frag in my 60+ bottle collection has garnered as much attention and compliments as 1 Million. I've had women of all ages compliment me in public. Women I didn't know who went out of their way to compliment this frag. That's a major quality many frags can't boast. Some of the reviews were saying 1 Million was too young etc. Sure, but on the flip side there are frags out there that are too mature. Fragrances CAN'T always appeal to every demographic. Just because you're 50 and this frag is "too young" for you DOES NOT make it a bad scent. I understand no fragrance will please everyone. It's just myself and many other reviewers are tired of the "frag snobery" that infiltrates reviews. Like I said, if this was not popular, was a niche brand or something along the lines of TF it'd have much better reviews. Out of 85% of new market offerings, how many really stack up to 1 Million's mass appeal & cost/performance ratio?

One Million – Take me back, baby! My journey with this fragrance started with the original, and it truly marked the golden days of my fragrance obsession. I remember the first time I encountered that bombshell sillage. I was just a teenager, about 15 or 16 years old, and my older cousin wore it before hitting the town. The way it enveloped him was something out of a dream, and ever since then, I’ve been hooked. There’s something magical about that blend of woody and leathery notes, perfectly punctuated by the vibrant opening of grapefruit and blood orange. It’s such a shame that the newer versions just don’t have the same impact. As I’ve explored more fragrances, my tolerance has built up—kind of like a drug, really. The thrill of discovering unique scents that once fired my neurons is harder to find these days. Most of the contemporary designer stuff just doesn’t hit the same. One Million was like a gateway into this whole new world for me. There was something about it that just fired me up and made me feel alive. I wish I could wear it the way I used to, but it seems like my journey has evolved. Still, it remains a significant part of my fragrance history. If you haven’t experienced the original, make it a priority. It truly embodies a beautiful moment in the fragrance realm.

This was my first fragrance when I was 14-15 yo. It was the lady killer at the time, all girls were so attracted to this fragrance. I'm 25 now and I applied it this morning for the nostalgia, also from my 2015's original bottle. And man... What a fragrance this is, still now in 2025 it's the best. It's fresh, it's masculine and it's seductive. When I first spray it on, I don't get a lot of mandarin or grapefruit but I get that, slightly powdery, freshness followed by cinnamon and spice. I didn't know until now that there was a leather note. I usually hate leather notes but in 1 Million it's subtle and delicious. Makes every head turn to you. It's a timeless masterpiece. And for the people that are saying the popularity of it ruined the fragrance because everyone is wearing it, I'd say that the prime of this fragrance was in 2015-2019 in term of the most worn fragrance. Personally, it's been years since I've smelt someone wearing 1 Million. Nowadays people are wearing a bunch of different fragrances so it's not like it used to be. If you wear it at a party, I'm sure the girls there will know that it is 1 Million haha but they'll sure like it. Go wear it again ;)

I really don't agree with the too many people who dismiss "1 Million EDT" as "just some faddish fragrance worn by superficial young men who don't know fragrances". I just think it's a good fragrance, and I'm glad I have it in my collection. I can see why it's an iconic fragrance. I like to wear it in autumn, winter, and into early spring. I might not be 100% fond of its immediate opening (which is somewhat synthetic and like bubblegum), but starting soon after that, I truly enjoy wearing it. Also, when I spray it on clothes, it can last for days. When I put the clothes I sprayed it on on top of my laundry hamper, it makes my whole room smell good: like a good use of ambroxan that lasts for days. From the "1 Million" line, the only ones I've tried so far are the EDT and the Parfum flanker. I enjoy the EDT, but I was disappointed when I tried the Parfum flanker. I bought my bottles of the EDT in about 2020-2021. Years before I first tried "1 Million EDT", I was enjoying the Dollar Tree version of it by EAD called "Prime Gold": that was one of the reasons why I got into fragrance collecting.

I dig 1 Million a lot. Great refreshing opening. Just the right amount of sweet and spicy throughout. It's got a reputation for being loud, but if you think about it, it's kind of mellow and balanced compared to all of the sweetness bombs of today. Because of this, I actually think it could work in any season (aside from unbearably hot summer days). 1 Million has underrated versatility. As far as the hate goes... it's greatly overblown. A 3.74 rating out of 5 with over 20,000 ratings (as of this writing) means that most people like 1 Million, or at least have well-formed opinions about it. If someone owns 100+ fragrances - many of which likely have a remnant of 1 Million's DNA - then I could see them getting bored with it. If you own 2 or 3 bottles and aren't obsessive, you can appreciate this fragrance more. Also, the bottle looks really cool. Its nice to see something that isn't just a plain cylinder or rectangle.

This one perplexes me, but I love it! Fruity and sharply sweet, but spicy, woody, a bit floral, and dare I say slightly indolic? If I danced on a cute well-groomed freshman at a frat party 5 hours into the gig, this is what I imagine I'd smell. And the drydown morphs into a sweaty, skin-like, sensual booziness that you'd smell on that same guy at his place AFTER the party. Youthful, but not juvenile. Sweet, but not saccharine. Erotic, but not in the way I'm used to. I'm finding it hard to explain what exactly I like about this fragrance, other than it's just very well-rounded and unique. Longevity and sillage are to DIE for, absolute beast in this category. The bottle is delightfully cheesy, but dear god that atomizer is atrocious. Straight water hose. Even the atomizer on the TESTER was bad. Literally how'd they even do that. Boyish, sexual, and just all around great. What a beautifully weird scent. 9/10!

All the hate towards one million is unbelievable. Calling it a fragrance for douchebags and attack people who wear this instead of talking about the fragrance itself, It seems people like to hate on popular things. Calling one million a generic fragrance while this was The fragrance who started the trend of this whole sweet and sexy clubbing fragrances for men. Anyways, one million for me is not just an Ok fragrance, It's an amazing scent with unbelievable performance and longevity, no other designer fragrance can compete with it in terms of performance, Even some oud based niche fragrances. And all reformulation talk here is total BS. New versions still last easy 14 hours plus on my skin. I think it's worth to buy one million cause now days it's not popular like it used to and many people still don't know the smell and even if they do, they still love it. Btw, F*** jeremy fragrance.

I love this stuff. Hard for me to describe nuance but the big picture is a sweet and slightly spicy blast of cinnamon that manages to be warm but with slight fresh aspects from the mint and citrus. There's a bubblegum like sweet quality to this. Projects powerfully and has pretty good longevity. I am not a city boi or former club kid and my life doesn't lend towards being around many people at all so all the hype for this flew by me as I never smelled this on anyone in my everyday life, ever. All the same, I was aware of it and blind bought a 200ml during the early 2010s and was not disappointed. That bottle lasted about 10 years. 4-5ish years later and the itch to have another 200ml chunky gold bar bottle came around and I caved in. Happy to have this kicking around for another 10 years.

The review below me cracked me up. My dad has a bottle of this. He’s 74 and couldn’t remember where he got it from. I’m guessing yard sale, thrift store or his bougie gf. Anyways, we noticed it last time we were visiting. My daughter sprayed it on her arm and we fell in love with it. Ironically a week later these young guys were smelling all the colognes at Sephora and they commented that this was the only one that smelled really good. I told them how my dad has it and my daughter and I really like it. To be honest though, I’m not sure if this was the exact one they were smelling or if this is the exact one my dad has because I’m sure there are several flankers. But the 1 Million P. Rabanne that I smelled was very nice and I wouldn’t mind purchasing it for a man someday!

Have loved this fragrance for over a decade, it’s the perfect winter scent for the coldest of months when used in moderation. Moderation!! The only issue that has dragged it down is the working class middle age blokes who used to douse themselves in half a bottle just to go out to clubs or bars to pick up young women half their age during the summer which would just nuke everyone in a 3 block radius. It has the same impact that YSL Y edp or Dior Sauvage edt has. One spray is more than sufficient on a scarf and it still draws compliments and smiles from those who catch it’s scent whilst you walk past. Timeless just ruined by those with the cognitive capacity of a brick.

I last smelled this in 2011 when my sister's boyfriend left this behind in her bedroom. I decided to sneak a sniff and instantly loved it, although it smells much sharper to me now than how I remember (maybe a formula change?) The grapefruit and mint notes give a fresh kick and pairs nicely with the warm cinnamon and leather. It's sensual and smoky. To me it comes across as being slightly unisex (although it could just be the fruity notes). I think a woman could pull it off, but it's still very masculine leaning It's quite strong so I would use it sparingly, but at least the sillage and longevity are decent so it's great value for money

This was the first real cologne back in 2016 after using dollar-store scents. I loved it, my gf at the time loved it, and I bought the 200ml bottle. It was my signature from fall to winter and I still have that bottle to this day. Only using one spray in colder seasons in my rotation. IMO, that 2016 batch smells absolutely amazing. Like a soft chai latte. Spicy and a little sweet (sweetness especially in the drydown). I read a lot of mixed feelings so maybe I will hit up a boutique and try a newer sample to see if it's really *that* bad but back in the days this one used to smash.

This has always been in my collection since 2016 and is the number one cologne I get compliments on. I have niche scents and other expensive houses, even dupes, but nothing beats this for some odd reason. Ladies love it on me, and most men ask what I got on so they can buy it. Crazy story is my mentor wife always said this cologne is what got her attracted to him, so my advice for guys is to keep this in your rotation. It is a winter scent, I didn't know that until I got deep into the world of fragrances, but it can be worn all year; the notes just shine more when it's cooler.

For me, this is an all-season night-time scent, despite what other ratings say. I got a bottle of 1 Million as a gift, and I was initially skeptical due to its reputation as a juvenile, overused clubbing scent... But once you forget about that, this fragrance really shines. So many compliments from my partner and she would just want to hang around to be in the scent. Definitely recommend for younger blokes just starting out with frangrances that want a decent compliment getter that hangs around all night long.

A very beast-mode fragrance that will project A LOT. I did the mistake of overspraying it once at school. Whole classroom was filled up with the scent 🤣🤣. It was insane, I did get compliments but that was too much. I highly recommend it as a winter fragrance for young teens, it's a very sweet scent that will never go old even if it's overused in my opinion. Either way who cares if it's overused. If you smell good, you smell good. Big deal. 10/10. Sillage and Longevity are a 10/10 aswell.

My brother passed away 2 years ago and this was his signature scent, everyone complimented him. I love the smell of this and I wear it to remember him and what he smelled like. Imagine your driving around looking at gorgeous Christmas lights mid December the heating on full but the front window down blowing cold air on your face. Everyone in that car is happy and smiling. This scent is a warm hug on a cold day. I may be biased but this is a 10/10 fragrance.

When I was about 18 (2010) I would dream of this fragrance, but could not afford it. I loved the commercials and I loved the smell. A few years later I bought some similar fragrances from Stradivarius Man and Zara but ultimately forgot about it. I received it a bit over a year ago as a gift from my father who didn't even know I wanted it so many years ago. It healed something inside me. Such a cozy smell, very sweet and modern but still warm and loveable.

I bought this off a 15 year old on vinted who sold 90ml of a 100ml bottle for 8 euro because the bottom of the gold bar was lose,idiot. Anyways his loss my gain, this shit takes me back to being 16 myself and I could go early argue for it's place In your rotation for 2025. It's mass appealing and everyone has smelt it but is it really as popular and frequently used as it was in the 2010s, doubt it. Chicks dig it, John battlefield digs it you'll dig it.

Seems to be hated because of it's popularity. I used to dislike it only because "A LOT" of people use it. Be actually in recent years I don't remember smelling anyone with it. Bought it because my gf likes it, and the more I wear it, the more I like it. It's the perfect balance for me. Bought the elixir and fell in love with the vanilla sweetness, but it can get boring. The freshness of the top notes, and the spiciness make it really good.

I’ve been in the hobby for 12+ years. I still remember when this first came out; it was a game-changer. I truly don’t understand why people don’t like this DNA anymore. I think it’s still amazing, AND I think it’s still easily the best in the 1 Million line. Realistically, it wipes most current releases that smell of tonka and bubblegum. Such an amazing fragrance, and in my opinion, still unique to this day in the genre that it's in.

it's a fantastic cologne. but, i honestly don't understand why it's considered a spicy fragrance. it does not smell spicy to my nose all the times i have worn it. if it does belong in the spice category, it's a very soft and mellow spice atleast compared to spice bomb and eros flame. it's obviously not a fresh fragrance, but i wouldn't classify it as spicy. maybe somewhere in between???? i mainly pick up fruity and leathery notes

A classic. Amongst numerous flankers, it is still the best of the line. And it is better than all these new, lame a$$ releases that everyone is glazing and foaming out the mouth for. Edit: @epochether you described this fragrance better than anyone else. I have to agree, it is slightly indolic, perhaps more than slightly, considering it is a fragrance marketed to men. I bet that is why I am so drawn to this perfume.

I don't care how popular it is. How unpopular it is. If everyone is wearing it. If nobody is wearing it. If it's strong. If it's weak. When I find a fragrance that I love and suits me, I wear it and I love it. I don't care what anyone says or thinks. And this one is a definate LOVE. I am almost done my 100ml bottle and I am a woman ... and I will definately repurchase. Can't stop sniffing my wrist. LOVIN it! <3

This is one of my personal signature scents - a forever classic. I have used at least a liter of it already and will keep buying it until it exists on the market. Despite the many newer varieties there are, the original still remains the best one for me. It just ticks all the the boxes - smell, longevity, silage, compliment magnet and women love it. I love everything about it! Unbeatable! 10/10

Even after all these years wearing this from 10 till i was 19 and was my signature scent. this perfume still is a masterpiece and so different and beautiful. holds a place in my heart, i fear to buy it again and use it again. It's hold such good memories, i fear to ruin it. I smelt a lot of perfumes in my life, but this one still makes me stop and look at who is wearing it.

The hate on this fragrance is unjustified. It was a trend that’s no longer trending. Trends come and go, spoiler alert for the younger crowd, YSL, SWY, and Valentino will too. I’d rather rock something different to stand out. I couldn’t say that about this fragrance 16 years ago. And I didn’t rock this back in the day for that reason. But I will now.

Warm & sweet, spicy, flowery, and slightly fruity is the best way I can describe this fragrance. Popular and iconic for a reason. Not too dense, but definitely noticeable in a room. This one shines best in loud events, clubbing, or fun date nights. I do think Elixir & Lucky are better alternatives, but you can't go wrong having this one on a shelf.

To my nose it smells like a STRONG blood orange, cinnamon and cedar wood. A lot of people say it's too dense/sweet but to my nose the grapefruit/blood mandarin listed do a great job making it bright off the top, i'd have to disagree. This was what every European smelled like when I would visit as a kid, vastly overhated nowadays.

This stuff smells good plain and simple. There is a time and place for trying to stand out and then there is just I want to smell good for myself and others around me. There are 10000 different fragrances and there is a a reason this one is popular, because it’s good. Fragrance is not that serious all the time!

Might be played out for some, but it's a legendary fragrance for a reason. With controlled sprays, this definitely is a pleasant sweet fragrance. Nutty sweetness with that cinammon. Airiness with the florals yet attention grabbing. Performance might have taken a hit from reformulations, sadly.

A masterpiece. It has been used by so many for such a long time so it falls short for that reason but the scent is really amazing and if coming off as unique isn't a priority, this is a great buy because of the complexity that comes with the perfect balance between the different ingrediants.

i have gotten nothing but compliments while using this but the smell gets kind of irritating if used to much. still really good. the notes that really stand out are Cinnamon,leather and mint. overall pretty nice id rate it 8/10 good blind buy.

I love this fragrance, it lasts quite a while and smells timeless, would definitely say its unisex too, ive smelt this on men and women and it always smelled good, smells kinda like blood orange soda in a can, cant go wrong with this.

Oh my god this fragrance was with me a long time ago . Back in a day to get it you need to pay a lot. But it was just smt out of this planet. This is one of the best fragrance of it is kind. This one and CocoRico is a brother in arm.

cant go wrong with 1 million, versatile and pleasant to smell, overhyped and overrated for sure. but i reach out for it often. longevity is pretty good, i have a 6 year old bottle and sillage is surprisingly good. 7/10

Amazing, slightly fresh, mostly warm like a big hug from 2015. Smells like listening to Hey Ho while you're sipping on a 13 dollar coffee from a small coffee shop as the owner works on his new fall themed drink.

This has always been great. People bitched about it being too strong and "sickly sweet" for years, but now those same guys are wearing Stronger With You Intensely, Angel's Share, and all of the Elixirs.

I love this scent but one thing I will say to be cautious when overspraying because the cinnamon becomes very prominent and over powers everything it kinda of becomes too much and headache inducing

I smelled it on someone random on the street the other day. It stopped me in my tracks. Instant deja vu of eyes shut, warm skin, lips on someone's neck. (Someone specific, yes). Long ago.

idk something about the dry down in this is just so good and nostalgic, its sweet and a little spicy, its so addicting.its very unisex 9/10
