Polo Deep Blue Parfum

Hmm. I really love this one. Granted, I’m a big fan of Polo Blue EDT, because it was the very first fragrance I ever had a full bottle of, when I was in 7th grade in 2002 when it first released. I say that because there’s definitely nostalgia playing into my love of this fragrance, simply because I really adore the DNA and freshness of it, but I could also see why some dislike it. I like the Blue EDP as well, but this one smelled a lot smoother and more versatile to me. It’s unmistakeable that this is a Polo Blue flanker, but it also comes closer to the modern “blue” frags than any other scent in the Polo Blue line. That’s not to say they’re in the same category, I really don’t consider scents like Sauvage or Dylan Blue to even be aquatics, but this one definitely is. The opening is really beautiful, mango and some citruses bring an incredibly fresh and rejuvenating aroma when you first spray this. The opening smells much more pure, clean, and smooth compared to Sauvage and the likes. It’s crisp and not overly spicy or an assault on the nostrils, just very pleasant, uplifting, and incredibly clean and fresh. Once the opening dissipates, Deep Blue brings more green and woody elements to the equation, and it’s why I chose this one over the EDP. There is a sense of spice, but it’s not as dense as the EDP, which makes the EDP smell a bit more rough while Deep Blue smells smoother and more relaxed. I’d say it’s a bit less elegant and more casual overall, which is actually exactly what I want in an aquatic. The mid and drydown can remind me of something like Nivea mens aftershave, it’s just got a touch of smooth aromatic creaminess, without becoming too woody or mature smelling. Cons and things to consider before buying- when smelled up close, it can definitely smell synthetic compared to a higher end fragrance. In the air, it’s stunning though and I’d take this over some niche offerings in my collection honestly. The ambroxan is noticeable and will turn off anyone who dislikes this synthetic aromachemical. That being said, this is not some loud, douchey locker room bro type scent, it’s versatile and classy and shockingly even works when it’s not warm out... the first aquatic I’ve ever been comfortable wearing no matter the weather. Classy yet sporty, and very casual IMO, not a date night type scent or something you’d wear in a suit and tie. Great for going out in a tee shirt, after the gym, even just lounging around at home on the weekend or at work. A perfect daily driver for a man who wants to smell fresh yet not shout it from the rooftops. Clean yet still sophisticated. Longevity is not so good for a parfum, but it can be found for pretty cheap so I don’t care. I got a massive 200ml/6.7oz bottle for less than a 100ml/3.4oz of many other designer brands. The scent profile and structure feels more like an EDT, but it definitely does last much longer than an EDT, have no fear.

I wore this yesterday after getting my recently purchased bottle in the mail one day prior. I had a couple samples of this that I had used up, but finally had to pull the trigger when I found out this had been discontinued! If you really like this particular scent, now is the time to get it, I picked up a 4.2oz bottle for only $45.00 at Fragrance Shop, which I would consider an absolute steal of a price. Now, onto why I had to make sure I secured a bottle for myself: The opening has a nice fruit opening of mango, grapefruit and bergamot. The heart is brief, mostly dominated by cypress, beside clary sage and geranium, which is almost not detectable. As it dries down, you will see that the Ambroxan is clearly detectable, but it is so well blended with the other notes that it creates a nice salty fizzy vibe, that makes you think you are on the seaside. It is a parfum concentration, so the sillage trail is strong, but the projection is not a monster. However, the longevity lasts a good 8 hours before it turns into a skin scent, and even then it will last a few more hours beyond that! Definitely a masculine scent but I can see it appeal to guys from their 20's all the way to their 50's. That is the magic of fresh scents, they can appeal to some of the largest age ranges and audiences. I'd also like to add that this is a Compliment magnet. I wore this at work, and two coworkers said I smelled really good. When I stopped at my girlfriend's place after work, she also added to the list of compliments. What impressed me was the fact that I had sprayed this on over 9 hours ago, and she was able to still smell it clearly while hugging and sitting next to me. This is also a reminder to all of the "performance bros" that not all fragrances need to fill up every room you walk into and choke out everyone around you. A tight long lasting bubble within arms reach is also a great signifier of good performance, especially for a fresh fragrance like this one.

Update 4/2/25: I've worn this a few times over the last few weeks and it's one of those fresh and easy wearing fragrances that gets compliments and just smells good. The more I wear it, the more it grows on me and starts to separate itself from the acqua di gio line. ADG smells of better quality (my favorite being the EDP and parfum version), but is significantly more aquatic as well as being more tangy with citrus. Deep blue, on the other hand, is an ambroxin bomb 💣 with a really beautiful tropical-ish fruity note in the opening. It's far less abrasive than other, more famous ambroxin bombs, but there's also a depth to it that really dials up the class a bit. I wear it to the office in business attire just as easily as I do taking my kids to the playground in joggers, etc. If you want something super versatile, fresh, with a scent trail that will get you noticed - oh, and is extremely affordable compared to other similar fragrances of equal quality and performance: then deep blue is a no-regrets blind buy for the spring and summer months. If polo does a thing with fragrances these days that just seems to work, it's making these easy to wear, addictive, versatile and clean fragrances like polo 67, polo blue parfum and this one. For $40, you can't go wrong. Original Review: Not sure what I expected, but it was a blind buy and not a bad one. The only problem I have with it is that it's very redundant with acqua di gio EDP which I love and smells a bit more aquatic, but is generally a very very similar fragrance. For $30, this is great and it smells very fresh and clean. But unless something changes when I smell each at the same time, I'm getting a bit tired of the often extremely subtle differences between fragrances within the same general genre. It's nothing like many of the other blues that are heavier on ambroxin or cleary sage, but as far as marine, blue scents go, this is just too close to something I already have and enjoy immensely.

This is a pretty solid high heat fragrance. It opens with a very bright, watery sweet citrus at the top (which I imagine is what that "crystal fizz" marketing means) and dries down to a subtle, fresh ambroxan. I would classify this as an ambroxan fragrance because it's the dominant note and it's going to be what you're smelling for most of it's 5-6 hour lifespan. It doesn't project very much after the first hour, so I wouldn't call it an "ambroxan bomb" akin to something like Explorer Montblanc or Dior Sauvage. The biggest surprise in this one, and why I like it so much is how long it lasts. I always appreciate a summer freshie that lasts a long time, this one is a great bang for your buck because of it's longevity. This fragrance is for someone who is looking for a long lasting affordable ambroxan fragrance to wear on the absolute hottest days. Ambroxan can be a note that is cloying in high heat, but this fragrance is a lot more subtle and watery than your typical ambroxan fragrance. It smells great in heat and doesn't choke anybody out. I don't know of much other long-lasting high heat ambroxan fragrances, especially at the price you can find this one for. It's worth checking out if you're looking for that kind of thing. Similar fragrances: Montblanc Explorer (Heavier Ambroxan), ADG Profondo (More Expensive), Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue eau Intense (Heavier Citrus, no ambroxan but similar longevity) Some things I think are worth pointing out: 1. Most will see this as a positive, but it really doesn't have anything in common with the classic polo blue. There's no melon at all and the water notes in this one are more saltwater than freshwater. 2. The mango in this really isn't noticeable. If you're looking for a mango fragrance I'd skip this one. It's primarily citrus and ambroxan.

Performance 8.5/10 Projection 7/10 (It's a parfum) Value for total cost 10/10 Overall good purchase & would recommend The mango note here is kind of cartoonish and noncomplex, especially for a fruit accord. I used to work in the produce department at a major corporate grocery store in the midwest and this kind of smells like the mangoes that I'd put out, but not really the exact same. I typically associate the smell of mango with evergreen sap and fresh fruit. I didn't really get the wood sap here but that's ok. Deep blue is by no means bad, but I literally cannot detect cypress or geranium or sage or patchouli or fir resin. Maybe when it macerates a little longer I'll be able to smell them, but for right now I've got nothing. I was hoping for more fir resin and more cypress but I'm not bummed at all, especially because of the price. In terms of when & where I'd reach for this, this is an amazing everyday spring-to-late-summer offering. It's not too serious, not too office-y, and not too loud either. If you want to wear fragrance but don't want to offend some people or do a one-theme nuke (ambroxan, crazy intense floral, neon citrus, spice, etc) then you could ostensibly wear this and fulfill that desire. This isn't really a perfume to write home about but that's kind of what I love about it. It's a safe, shower gel, clean young man fragrance. It's not remarkable or exceptional but I don't think it needs to be. It's safe and it gets the job done. It's an easy blue.

It's just another "blue" fragrance that's a flanker to the original "Captain America" of men's fragrances, Polo Blue. There's nothing "deep" or complex about Polo Deep Blue. It smells like a variation of Polo Blue with just enough variation to have its own identity. If you like ambroxan, citrus, a touch of musk, and a proprietary scent Polo calls "crystal fizz" and you want to smell like sex, this is not for you. There are far superior options out there such as Dior Savauge and Bleu de Chanel. This is a more grown-up, business casual, stable, everyday cologne, or at-work office cologne. Great stability, but depending on your tastes, might come off as a bit boring. This scent is pretty good for your 'Average Joe' but blah for the guy that owns several colognes and a certain no-go for any cologne connoisseur. Sillage is below average for this being labeled a "parfum" and after about 3 hours, it can only be detected from about 4 inches away. I have moderately oily skin so the performance lasts about 7 hours for me. I'm still a fan of the original "Captain America" and Polo Blue is still one of my wife's favorites. I wanted a change from Polo Blue without straying too far away from what she likes and she likes Polo Deep Blue a tad better. I personally give Polo Blue a 6/10 because the asking price is a tad high ($85 for 2.5oz and $105 for 4.2oz) for such an average performer. If it was $15 cheaper I would give it a 7/10.

In my youth I wore Polo fragrances, the Green, Red, Orange and Blue. So, I did actually buy this blind but I got a good deal from someone who did not want it. When I first smelled it I was reminded of my Brother's wedding. The celebration afterward was in a very classy establishment in Kensington, London. I walked into another part of the place and there were a lot of extremely wealthy people sitting in high chairs, like thrones, drinking very expensive wine and spirits. I could tell by the watches they wore, the tailored suits, the groomed hair, and the very beautiful and exquisitely dressed young women that accompanied them. Well, to get to the point, Deep Blue parfum smells like that room. Whatever air freshener and carpet cleaner they were using, mixed with the scents worn by the men and women in attendance produced a smell as close to Deep Blue as I can describe. I am sure this is a coincidence that I only remark upon because of the significance of the day and my memory, right down to the debate I had with the very well dressed doorman from Dublin on the politics of Ireland. This is not a scent which lasts long on my skin, but I think it exudes an air of uniqueness that is like that day was. I personally love it, and will buy more when my bottle is finished.

Third wearing, and I've liked it more each time. Close to a "love." Works so well in this sticky Southern heat. It may be similar to some aquatics, but the mango, cypress and fir make it a standout for me. It's fresh, more green than blue, and the ambroxan doesn't overwhelm my nose. Becomes more of a skin scent for me after 3 hours, so I wish the longevity were a bit better, but I can still pick it up at the end of the day. I haven't gone heavy on the sprays yet and haven't sprayed on clothes. The Blue DNA is in there for sure, but I always liked Blue because it was fresh, clean, light and masculine and made for an easy spring-to-fall reach. I get that folks dump on RL for being safe or boring, etc., but this works and that's what matters. Hope this flanker hangs around a while. *** Update: It's a "love." The longevity is there, I'm just anosmic after a few hours. I'm not a heavy sprayer (2 max). Workout partner picked it up at the end of the day, so it's performing like a "sport" fragrance and reappearing with higher body temps. Recently, this was met with, "mmm, you still smell nice," the morning after a (very) good night when the other party came in close. Skin scent for sure, but that was almost 24 hours after applied. Solid.

Great juice from Ralph Lauren. It will transport you to somewhere warmer and better as soon as you spray it so if you don't think you will holiday this year just buy this instead. Starts really quite tropical with the Mango and the Citrus Fruits combining to give a really beautiful opening that doesn't come across as too sweet - the citrus is quite piercing in fact but very smooth and in no way synthetic. After about 10 minutes Clary Sage and Geranium start announcing themselves to the party but sit in the background whilst the aquatic side of the fragrance starts to really take centre stage. I don't know what RL have used here but this is probably the best aquatic I have smelt - really you can picture yourself sitting at a beachfront cafe or strolling along a promenade on that special holiday. The Ambroxan gives the juice a load of freshness in the drydown and that bit of staying power along with the Musk lurking in the base which just adds to the aquatics. That Mango note in the opening stays for the duration and is probably the dominant note - which is good because it's also the best note. Easily one of the best Ralph Lauren releases of recent years. This will be my summer juice of choice in 2021. 8.5/10

Finally a Polo Blue flanker that is worth owning. I suppose from the outside looking in at the fragrance space you'd assume Ralph Lauren would be making higher end designer scents but they're not. Most are generic and forgettable. While this isn't anything groundbreaking it is very good for what it's trying to do. Ofcourse it's still a shower gelly "blue" ambroxan aquatic/marine scent. But this has some interesting elements. The mango note helps set it apart from other blue scents. Gives it a little bit of a tropical fruity vibe in addition to the citruses. But for me the cypress is the underrated player here. On my skin this goes green sometimes rather than blue. For a blue scent it has subtle nuances. The performance makes it even better. I'm getting about 8 hours, maybe even 9. I like how Polo went straight for a Parfum with this one, it helps fits the Deep Blue name. This might be my favorite blue fragrance right now. I wore this alot last spring and summer. Looking foward to wearing again. I'm happy for Polo.

In all honesty the normal shopper will smell this, and all the other aquatic blue fragrances and think they all smell the same. This is a good fragrance despite all the intentional hate it’s getting on here. Is it a good fragrance? Yes it is! Nothing groundbreaking by no means, but anyone who says it isn’t shouldn’t say they like any of the other blue fragrances either and that’s just facts. I purchased this one and ADG profondo at the same time, they smell similar but also have distinct differences at the same time, I enjoy them both. Yet I have gotten pretty much the same reaction to them both and about the same amount of compliments. This one I wore to work one day and a person standing about 5ft away from me was like “oh wow! What are you wearing!?” And that was easily after about 7 hours into the work day. So yes it does perform very well. The mango is there in the opening and it drys down to a woody (not a “heavy” Ambroxan either) aquatic musky scent! Masculine, deep and fresh. An easy 8/10

First impression, on a hot summer day sprayed on clothes and skin. I really enjoy the scent profile. The dry down smells great. For a polo scent Im kinda impressed. Aquatic in the opening with the shower gel but then drys down greenish blue and man it smells great. Im really digging this and for the price on discounters this could be a really easy dumb reach and a great inoffensive blue. This projected for 1-2 hours but it's 10 hours later and it's hanging around as a skin scent. It's no beast but if you let the trigger go I think this could have good performance. I agree with @Ointmeal that this doesn't overpower and does wear light but still sends out some wafts! This is no mind blower. It's in the shower gel blue space with a slight greeness and it does a great job at it. I'll see where my second wear leaves me but Im pretty sure this will be in my summer collection. Definitely recommend trying a sample cause it scratches a blue itch hard.

Overlooked by many and it shouldnt be. This is a blue/green scent thats great for warm weather. Even better, it works when its cold as well. Its crisp, refreshing, and enjoyable. It is a little on the synthetic side once the drydown comes around due to the ambroxan oil being a tad on the screechy side. Its not as bad the ambroxan in Sauvage EDT though. Deep blue is balanced just right at the end of the day. Everyone should check this one out especially if you can pick this one up for under $50. I bought a bottle last year for like $38. The price has came back up currently for a reason but it will go back down in a few months and thats when you need to grab it if you are on a budget because this is one that I feel that the price is going to go back up every summer as long as its still being produced. Edit: Discontinued Id purchase by the end of 2025 if you want to snag it for a good price. This one is still worth buying guys don't pass on it.

This could very well be my favorite scent. It’s a version of the AdG Profundo DNA with some tropical, sweet nuances (with, of course, some of the Polo Blue DNA. Can’t forget that). The mango here is not super heavy or syrupy like it can sometimes be in other fragrances, but is a little greener and a little more subtle and nice. The ambroxan is very nice here as well. Even though it’s a very overdone note it works really nice when it’s used a little more discreetly like it is here. It blends well with the mango and sea notes and just sort of enhances them rather than overpowers. I especially love the aromatics from the cypress and fir. The performance is also really great. I got around 8 hours or so, and it projects far and for quite a while. I see this as a good mix of old and new. It’s got a little of that older-fashioned sensibility along with some of the better trends of some modern scents to make it fun and noticeable.

I used to be a huge fan of Polo Sport, which was my signature scent throughout my high school and most of the university years too. I haven't smelled Polo Sport in at least a decade but this one gave me a very nice mental image from my Polo Sport years. At first this smells like I just got out of shower, but not the regular cheap shower gel smell. Just very fresh with subtle hints of mango. The drydown is fantastic, with musky and ambroxany notes but still maintaining the freshness thanks to the sea notes and patchouli. Longevity could be better but in my use that has not been a problem, I get around 6 hours of projection. This is of course nothing very unique either. Just an excellent everyday fragrance which i'm sure offends no one. Girls aren't dropping their pants but they do say I smell "nice". This has quickly become my go-to fragrance for office days and definitely my favourite of the current Polo line.

There is nothing special or unique here but if you are looking at Polo then you are looking in the wrong place for that. What it is is a very fresh clean shower gel that most people will enjoy. I have gotten alot of "you smell great" compliments but more importantly, I enjoy it. Certainly not the most unique smell I own, but its good. It is easy reach for most casual occasions and great for work. The citrus goes away quick, but the dry down is pleasant mix of aquatic, the cypress, sage and woods. With regards to the entre Polo Blue and Deep Blue line, which all very mass appealing easy shower gel types, Deep Blue Parfum has the best performance for me. Its still not great. But good. Maybe 6 hours, so not beast mode but for the price its not terrible and especially compared the other Polos.

This is the perfect work scent for the warmer weather, as soon as the sun starts to come out, this will return to my rotation. It’s a very safe fragrance, nothing offensive in the fragrance notes and generally very pleasant without being too over the top. The mango, grapefruit and ambroxan comes through and you can smell the citrusy sweetness deep into the dry down. I don’t work in an environment where I can really respray but it’s a pleasant surprise when 8-10 hours into my day I can turn my head and still get the scent coming through, this lasts so long on my skin. I’d highly recommend this for any work environment in the warmer weather and even as a general day wear fragrance. At the price I got this (45 for 75ml) it’s quite good value and I’ll be buying a replacement bottle.

Having worn this for a few months now I have just bit the bullet and ordered another large gift set to see me through until next year and beyond. This for me is the best Designer Citrus Aromatic Aquatic currently on the market and by some distance. The mango really gives this the edge over something like Profondo. The performance is also great - strong projection for the first couple of hours but the sillage here is off the charts, you can be moving about 5 or 6 hours after applying this stuff and you and others will still get strong whiffs of this stuff. Even in cold weather this stuff just works. Grab it because I feel it maybe won't stick about for too long, if it's reduced I will buy another bottle in the festive sales because I can't have enough of this juice.

Absolutely love this fragrance! The initial brightness gives way to a unique unripe mango note, creating a refreshingly deep experience. The star of the show, the green unripe mango, gives it a green vibe, but the overall scent profile feels uniquely blue to me. Best enjoyed on a hot, sunny day, it lingers, periodically reminding you of its lively presence, a fragrance that transports me to a scorching summer day in the Pacific Northwest. In terms of Polo fragrances by Ralph Lauren, this one stands out as the best. My only gripe is with the bottle. While the design is lovely, I find the chrome on the sides unnecessary. Additionally, the cap could have had more weight to it. Nonetheless, these are minor drawbacks in an otherwise fantastic fragrance experience.

This is a fragrance that follows the “Blue Rules” yes it has some similarities to the Blue type of others, but this is a new genre and people love this type not only the wearer, but the surrounding people. I think every fragrance name has a blue line. This one has a unique opening and a more typical ambroxin dry down that creamy fresh clean smell. This is not a beast and for me that is good. It performs very well and has a nice scent bubble for a good part of the day on me last about 8+ hours and people will notice it at more than an arms length for a few hours, but it will still be noticeable in closer encounters after that pretty much the rest of the day. My favorite out of Polo’s blues. And is right near the top with the rest of my blue fragrances.

Got this from FOREVELUX one or two months ago now. Love the smell and how it develops off skin, also the way it stays in the air for the heavier oil concentration. A gem that not many give light to, since it's overshadowed by others in the line like the EDP and Parfum of the original Polo Blue. This being "deep blue" I don't see it being a true blue fragrance though it's quite versatile and easy to pull off. The mango note gives it fruitiness and it is similar to the one found in Polo Black imo. This is was a blind buy that I can't recommend enough. Aquatic, easy to wear, and crushing on the price. Think I got mine for close to 55 bucks. Reminds me of Chrome Extreme in the opening, as well as Blue EDP, but nothing like the ADGs.

Love at first sniff, almost. I semi blind bought this. I absolutely loved the smell of it. The opening I find very typical and boring with little to it, but as it sits for a while it becomes simply wonderful, almost makes me want to drink it. It's so good. I believe I'm starting to become nose blind to it as well, though. I often apply two sprays and quickly don't smell anything. Then sometimes a long time later, maybe even the next morning and 1 shower later I would get a sniff of the otherworldly smell and it reminds me why I so so love the fragrance. So I don't really know if the performance is eternal or terrible! I can't smell it 30 minutes after spraying but I can sometimes smell it +20 hours after spraying. Wild.

This was one of the two cologne I picked out of a sample set, the other being Dior Sauvage, so you can see I have a preference for fresh blues. Dior is the more fun playful “outing” type smell with more fruitiness detectable, while Deep blue is more down to earth, clean and smooth for the office or daily. Huge ambroxan/ mango and fresh spicy blast that gives me the most perfect “blue” scent I’ve smelt to date in my opinion. I prefer it over Dior Sauvage, just isn’t as unique and doesn’t last as long, maybe an hour or two less; so you’re still getting 7-8 hours easy. Way more affordable and the performance is good for the price. It’s my daily coming back from work in a CA sun . Probably my first “signature scent”.

I have to re-evaluate my previous review from 2020, when I recieved a complimentary small bottle with a bag purchase. That one was pretty average performance-wise, but I liked the smell. I therefore decided to give Deep Blue a new chance in 2024 because it's getting harder and harder to find and I found a good price for a 125ml. The design has changed from the classic Polo blue-shaped bottle to a squared-like one. And this one is definately a stronger performer, I get around 12 hours and even longer on clothes. Like has become Love. Gourmand-lovers will bash this for not being unique, but it's for sure a compliment-getter, and that's what counts for me. Fizzy mango and sea notes - I'm ready for summer!

Well, despite the note makeup this after 30 minutes or so is for all intents and purposes is Blue EDP. Somehow it has just a little more punch in sillage. The opening presents with a smooth brininess that definitely reminds me of Bulgari Acqua or very much Bulgari Acqua Marine. It drops away leaving just a tiny note so that anyone that might be a Polo Blue connoisseur might just be able to identify it from the EDP version. Other than that it’s seems to have a slightly stronger dark base giving it that extra performance ooomph. Cooling and refreshing I think this is a better buy than the other EDP versions as it gives the same signature scent with some twists for a period plus better performance.

* 2ND REVIEW * Wasn't much of a fan of the "unripe" green mango note; didn't think it was citrusy enough. Ended up getting the Blue Parfum, which was a bit more citrusy but got bored with it. I still enjoyed the overall Polo Blue DNA so gave this a second shot. Expecting this to be a citrusy aquatic scent may have been my mistake to begin with. It's more of a green aquatic with a citrusy background, a bit like Profondo Lights. This makes the DB the most unique within the family. It has the most character IMO. Still, no similarities to the Profondo to my nose, but now just as good. If you like aquatics, rotating between these two just may cover your summer. Changing my preference to LOVE.

I can smell the ocean as the sea breeze jumps off the cap, waves crashing around the SS Minnow. Slight mango and citrusy open (I get ruby red grapefruit) with a bit of a pop rocks feel to it refreshing the senses, feeling the mist from the sprayer which I inadvertently pointed at my face. Unlike the Coach Blue it's a lot more complex as the heart notes develop with sage, parsley, patchouli, and soft florals. By the time the waves subside into the base the oak, vetiver, and patchouli rise in prominence, with a quiet musk tying it together into a calm glassy stillness on the water. Keeping with the original analogy, thanks to the professor (Carlos Benaïm) this Minnow won't be lost.

This is a bright, fresh, embracing and unique fragrance that is a safe blind buy and easy to wear everyday scent. It’s sad that this has been discontinued because it really is one of Ralph Lauren’s best blue fragrances. It truly shines in the warmer months of spring and summer, but I wear this year round. The fresh, sweet fruity mango opening is intoxicating, drying down to a slightly woody aquatic mix that emphasizes the cypress and fir notes while staying sweet from the geranium. I get about 8 hours of longevity, which is better than other aquatic fragrances that come with a higher price tag. Definitely grab a backup bottle or two while you still can. I rate it a 10/10.

Wonderful! Different than a lot of the other blue scents I've smelled. This is probably going to be my signature scent for the warm weather. I really don't know how to explain this scent, but there's something in there that I couldn't quite put my finger on, when I smell it the first thing that pops into my head is Soda Water. Then I did a little research and found out there's a note that Ralph Lauren calls "Crystal Fizz" in there. One spray and I got about 7 hours out of it. I'd say it's mostly a spring/summer scent, but warm fall days also. Although this is a very versatile scent that can be worn whenever, I definitely feel this as a warm summer night scent.

Better than I expected TBH, my buddy had a bottle so I tried it out and it was not bad at all on a cooler (67°F / 19°C) early May late afternoon An "extra herbaly" leafy note in a marine blue scent. I can see how it can be weird on some ppls skin chemistry. The dry down seems a bit funky at times then you get a quick glancing whiff of yourself and your like... is that me who smells that good??? But my lady loved it on me so I got a full bottle for like $50, I wore it again yesterday (63°F) to dinner outdoors and it shined again. So I'm sold on it during cooler summer nights A cheapie that situationally works

Finally got to try this, and WOW. This is a really nice sophisticated blue fragrance. It is a little aquatic (ocean vibes) with blue (clean shower gel vibes). You'll get some citrus and ambroxan, but everything is just superbly blended. I have tried a plethora of everywhere from cheapie to niche blue/aquatic fragrances, and this is easily in my top five, if not top three. I generally do not even like Polo fragrances, but this is a great one. I will confidently say this is a safe blind buy unless you are very young. It may seem a little more on the mature side to folks that are very young.

Just got my 125ml for 50 quid, first impressions from my first full day of wearing: The review saying this is like a tropical fruity ADG Profondo is bang on point, also the openning was surprisingly beautiful, a blast of bright juicy mango with aquatic freshness, so satisfying! As it dries down it goes in a very similar direction to AGD Profondo but maybe less aromatic instead leaning more fruity and blue. Basically, I would say it is a better smelling and performing fruity-tropical ADG Profondo, I'd give it a 9/10 so far. P.S. Are the rumours true this is discontinued?

Blind bought this as a newbie collector and I must say I am pleased with this purchase after waiting more than 2 weeks on delivery. Opens up with a very pleasing mango note on top with the citrus playing as a supporting note for the sweet mango. As it dries down after 1-2 hours you start to get the sage and sea notes as the fragrance turns to a more shower gel kinda smell while smelling aromatic at the same time which makes it enjoyable. That being said the opening is definitely the star of the show here and I would definitely keep wearing Deep Blue.

I dont care what anyone says and my xase is exacrly why you should NOT try something just because if doesnt work for others. I tried blue edt, edp, parfum... all okay, al nice but even in simple fresh frags I want to find that wow. Deep blue has that for me. It just works when no other polo does. Its simple... the notes should behave weird on my skin but they dont. I get an oceanic green vibe slash profondo without the mineral notes and whifs of profumo. It just works so I sold all others and got a few bottles of this. The end.

I'm wearing this today, and what really stands out is how surprisingly clean it smells. It's not loud at all and totally safe for casual day use. Maybe too strong for an office day - the same problem that I have wearing Monblanc Explorer and Ralph's Club EDP. It starts bright, then settles into light aromatic notes that feel super fresh every time they hit the nose. It smells soapy but not powdery, just clean and modern. At today’s price, it’s a steal. I’m really thinking about getting another bottle just to keep and save.

I’ve reviewed this before but I have to leave another. This is the best fragrance in my collection it’s my personal favorite and to top it off it’s also my most complimented fragrance! The mango note in here is Damn good. It projects real nice and it’s longevity is really good its about 11+ hours. It’s super affordable I’ve seen it for like 50-60 bucks online and for those thinking of getting it just pull the trigger and grab it you’ll love it. Update did this fragrance get discontinued ?

Mr. Benaim always delivers. I love the woody-oceanic blend in Polo Deep Blue. It projects nicely for the first hour and sticks around for a few hours on clothes. It is an improvement of the original Polo Blue edt and a nice replacement for ADG Profondo or even L'eau Bleu D'Issey, which is my favourite herbal blue fragrance. A+ - Great for warm or cool weather. Excellent for a walk by the water on a breezy day. My woman loves it on me too (any of these herbal Blue scents).

This juice is fantastic, can't believe I'm just now discovering it. Came to it via Polo '67, which is very nice as well. But deep blue - smells gorgeous, great performance, and the price is silly cheap right now. It's a damn shame this scent was discontinued, because it's an absolute summer banger! I plan on rocking this one all summer and bought a big bottle. It will have a permanent place in my summer rotation for as long as I can keep a bottle around.

I love the original but this is even better! By far the best in the line. It still has the original dna but this is more citrusy/fruity especially in the opening. The dry down is when you get most of the ambroxan along with the aquatic notes but the fruity notes are still there just not as strong. This lasts forever on clothing and anywhere from 4-6 hours on skin and id say about an arms length of projection during the first 2 hours.

I got this for my boyfriend in the 3 fragrance gift set. The EDT blue is awful, it smells like toilet spray. The regular blue is okay, it would work in a pinch but I wouldn't spend money on it over the Deep Blue, the Deep Blue lasts the longest and has the most pleasant scent. I just bought the 125ml bottle for him for Christmas and he is spraying it everyday and I love it. Suitable for daily work wear and also in the evening

Nothing special, but I didn't expect to like it so much. To me it's like a cross between Cool Water and ADG. It's a fairly generic blue shower scent with just the right amount of green fruitiness thrown in. A regular in my gym scent rotation. Doesn't last very long or project much, but it does exactly what I want it to do. To me it's rounded well enough with the green, salt, and sweetness to be able to wear year round.

Gorgeous! One of the nicest Laurens. A fruity, green aquatic refreshing perfume with a good performance. This Parfum has the most beautiful bottle (which, now, is the same shape as Polo Blue Parfum) An absolutely classy gem for Summertime. My wife said it smells like gents toilets in a pub....oh well. Update....I have just had a long sniff at this over 20 minutes and in my opinion, this is a special perfume, lovely

This is an absolutely beautiful fragrance. Opens very fresh, very pleasant and the dry down is just heavenly. I have been looking forever for an aquatic fragrance that doesn't have the usual woody dry down but more of an aquatic fresh dry down and this does the trick. The projection is brilliant and so is the longevity. I put two sprays the first time and it lasted for more than 8 hours. Very safe blind buy.

Macy's had a sale this week. I was able to get a 4.2oz bottle for $52. This is a love at first spray for me. Right away I get ADG Profondo vibes. You will know when you spray it that it will remind you of other blue/fresh fragrances. So what. I can tell immediately that this one is going to get compliments. I love it. My wife immediately loved it too. If you can get this on sale I highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite polo blues. I wish it was the main one rather than a flanker because I feel like if the original smelled like this one it would be much more popular. the Ambroxan is definitely there but it's not offensive and the green mango is a great scent. It gets lots of compliments and my wife loves it. I think this is my favorite of the blue series, dethroning the Gold Blend.

@Scotty123 explained it perfectly. Don't expect too much from this one. It is an easy-to-wear, nonoffensive, fresh scent. The stated mango is not a bomb; more like an unripe fruit that you'd wait a few days before cutting into it. It's interesting and unique but doesn't quite work for me and a bit weird. Definitely try before you buy. Lot of comparison to ADG Profondo but not even close IMO.

Deep Blue Parum smells like the ultimate blue fragrance: longevity was great about 10 plus hours, looking at the performance votes on here for this fragrance, I can see many voted this with weak performance, I didn’t find that to be true at all, In fact it is one of my favorites from the Polo line, it’s a very underrated frag with a nice salty fresh vibe to it, perfect for the summer. 9/10

Definitely the best of all the modern day Polo fragrances for men. It's like an amalgamation of of the best features from Polo Blue, Polo Sport, and Polo Black. Those three scents being in my opinion the best fresh sporty type fragrances ever created by the Ralph Lauren company. Also performance is above average. Very nice considering most new releases from Polo are rather weak.

I am honestly surprised "Salt" is not one of the notes indicated in the note breakdown. I think people make the mistake of smelling this for the first 15 minutes and assuming, "Oh, this is just another juicy, fruity, BLUE scent." Where this is different from even the other Polo Blues as well is in the pronounced SALT note which appears (and, I believe, dominates in the drydown).

Quality ingredients by a great perfumer (Polo Deep Blue Parfum). Good value but not the greatest. Good design. Don't believe everything you read online. Definitely an amber bomb but citrus forward opening for max 10 min on me. Doesn't last on my chemistry. 3 hours maxxx on my skin. Maybe a couple more on clothes. Great scent though. Wouldn't buy again. -hypermarketed
