Rebecca Minkoff Blush

This is my absolute favorite perfume. It's so soft, pretty, and feminine. It's very faintly sweet and gently floral, with a a slight powderiness that rounds it out so beautifully. It's also not especially warm, but has a coziness that's hard to describe. It's a very mature, clean, and elegant scent that's perfect for daily wear, or for a date night. I don't really get a ton of citrus from this, and tbh although I also love Libra, I don't get the comparison between the two. They're both stunning scents, but I wouldn't really compare them since Libre is much brighter and bolder.

This is my signature scent, even though I didn’t like it at first. I thought my sample smelled old and stuffy, but every time I wore it I smelled a new, beautiful note. It’s pretty, it’s comforting. I love it and I ended up buying both the perfume and body mist.

Just a bundle of fairly simple happiness and light, maybe the warm last rays of the sun reaching across the sea to you as you stand on a terrace in Santorini. Fun, sexy, and delightful. Lasts a bunch, too. I'd like to have a full bottle of this.

The original Rebecca Minkoff is a favorite of mine, so I picked up the body spray of RM Blush at TJ Maxx. I really like it, although it doesn't seem related to original Rebecca Minkoff (black cap bottle) at all! But I just did a side-by-side comparison of RM Blush body spray on one arm, and YSL Libre EDP on the other. Blush definitely reminds me of Libre, I agree with other reviewers who pointed this out! They are related compositions. I personally love Libre, so will use the RM Blush body spray as a companion to it and consider a bottle of EDP when my body spray runs out. I also love Libre EDT and while I haven't done a side-by-side yet with that, from my memory it could be even more similar to Blush than Libre EDP. So, in short: If you love the OG RM, don't expect Blush to be anything like it! ... If you love Libre EDT or EDP, you might like this too as a cheaper alternative or companion for layering! ... If you're a Libre hater, you'll probably hate RM Blush almost as much! (BUT, if you hate Libre because of the lavender, this could be your non-lavender Libre, so check it out if you see it!) :)

Rebecca Minkoff Blush is a gorgeous fresh, clean, bright perfume. Blends well with my skin on this 70F evening to produce a fresh clean floral. Gives the feeling of white florals like lilies and jasmine. Not sweet (perhaps more so in summer). Lasts fairly well on my skin and much longer on clothes. No complaints here. Respectable, everyday, easy to wear signature type scent. If you like Issey Miyake and Lanvin florals, this will be a good fit. I've had this perfume for almost 2 years. It was hiding in a corner but now that I've recovered it, it smells very similar to Libre. Not as long lasting.

Opening is soft citrusy musky rose that is slightly sweet. Very pretty. Blush dries down to a lighter version of Libre, like the lingering scent of Libre on your clothes.

I opted for the body mist which I got for a great price at TJ Maxx. It’s a nice, crisp fruity floral which I keep in my ballet bag. I get compliments every time!

I just can't fully get into this perfume. It has potential but there's something missing to ground this perfume but I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe a touch of sandalwood or a bit more tonka bean would make it more well-rounded and complete. It's nice and pleasant but just too basic. I would describe it as a fresh floral. It's not complex and is basically linear and doesn't develop the longer you wear it. I kept thinking that it would evolve into something beautiful in the drydown but it never did. I'm going to challenge myself to layer this with something since it was so cheap at $7. If that doesn't work then I can gift it or exchange it. I rate it a 3.5/5. Edit: It's growing on me a bit more since I've accepted that it's a basic clean, fresh, soapy floral. It's not bad at all. My senses were just expecting it to evolve into something different because of the tonka bean and Moroccan cedar notes. I don't detect those two notes at all, even after the dry down and letting it settle in for a bit. Overall, a good scent to wear out of the shower around the house, to work or for running errands. PERFORMS BEST IN WARMER TEMPERATURES!

On paper definitely smells like Libre. However on skin it's a tiny more smooth, I'm actually surprised there is no lavender in this? Definitely mature though. Edit: good longevity and sillage, it actually smells like Libre Intense, like almost 100%.

I don’t smell any citrus, woods, or vanilla in this. Based on the notes, I should love it. But on my skin, it’s all soapy floral. Almost like laundry detergent. I like my scents a little dirtier so I will be giving away my sample.

It's a nice, soapier version of Libré EDP but not as sharp as the EDT. It would be nice if it's had longevity but it doesn't last... I'll be letting it go and the EDT since I already have the rest of the Libré collection

The opening is nice and bright, but it quickly brings to feel like a heavy, white floral. I haven't smelled the original so I can't compare it, but it's a bit too "mature" for me

I could not stand this It smells like Michael kors wanderlust And it also reminded me of the Prada paradox another fragrance I couldn't stand or abide by. Some of these new aroma chemicals are really hard to get past. The pear blossom in here comes off extremely synthetic. You can tell it's pear blossom But it just doesn't smell natural at all. Very headache inducing and overpowering. It just doesn't smell like its name blush. A fragrance name blush should be softer more gentle not so heavy-handed with heavy woody aroma chemicals and heavy fruity floral notes.

Ridiculously light fragrance can barely smell it. Did not like this one at all..

Run-of-the-mill floral. It smells like someone ripped a dandelion out of the ground and smeared it all over the wrist and neck.

This starts with more of an open chord of orange blossom. This is an autumnal type perfume formula. The most similar perfumes that I have smelled to this would be the chemical reaction that Safari by Ralph Lauren has, when it is first sprayed (the perfumes do not smell the same, but they have the same type of immediate aldehyde-like expansion of the chord from the very first spray). Come to think of it, this is also very similar to how Beautiful by Estee Lauder opens, not that they smell similar in any way - but the general perfume chord reacts in a similar way when first sprayed. This is beautiful on from the git go - there is no waiting period for this to move from a cold/aloof beginning to blossoming later. About 20 minutes into the wear of this, this turns into the smell of a French milled soap. This smells comforting, clean - but I'm not one to typically fall for soapy type floral perfumes. However, if this is YOUR THING and you like soapy type clean perfumes, this is probably the very best one that I have ever sampled. (Kim Kardashian's signature perfume also smells like a French milled soap after about an hour into the wear of her perfume). An hour into the wear of this, it is still French milled soap. It is pleasant, clean, and obviously soapy. I could see this being worn while hanging out at home after an evening shower. This seems like a bedtime fragrance. It is clean and cuddly. ----------- As far as a signature perfume - this is not my thing, maybe it is yours.

So I bought this because I saw it at TJ Maxx on clearance for $7. I knew I had sampled this one before, 2x actually, and was on the fence with buying both times....so 3rd time I saw it, I went ahead and purchased since it was so cheap! Well, turns out I bought Blush instead of the original, which is the one I had really liked before. I actually didn't realize there was more than one Rebecca Minkoff until I sprayed this and couldn't figure out why it didn't smell amberish/animalic like before! This one is definitely a nice, feminine, woody, sweet floral. It "smells like..." something I've had or tried before, and as soon as I pinpoint it, I'll make an update--it's not one I see already listed. Right now it's not coming to me. Blush is a nice perfume, and it does have descent longevity. However, it is also not really my style, as I don't have many florals...so I'm not sure I'll keep it. It's listed for men and women, but IMO this is a women's perfume only.

The opening reminded me of Libre instantly, most likely due to the shared orange blossom. It had a similar candied vibe, while still being daily wearable. Since I already have Libre it didn’t really hold my interest, but I think it is a better fragrance than the original from the line. It is a completely different vibe so I don’t consider it a flanker.

This is YSL Libre fraternal twin- a tad softer, a tad less long lasting. It’s a pretty, easy wearing Spring/Summer scent. Libre is a confident boss woman punch in comparison to Blush, but in my opinion if you have Libre you don’t need this and vice versa.
