Reef 31

These simple three note releases seem to be flourishing for Reef and its offshoot Osma. I find most of the Saudi fragrance houses to be much better compared to the other ones around the rest of the Gulf region. Less synthetic IMO. Starts off with saffron, fresh and earthy, the middle note is amber and the base note vanilla. A no-brainer sort of scent, which is neither fresh or sweet and equitably balanced. A safe reach for every day use, feasible for use at the office, for days out and other events. This is not a clone of Br 540 by any means, at least to my nose. All seasonal scent? Yes, an all year scent Unisex? Yes Blind buy worthy? Yes, a safe inoffensive scent, all in all. Performance? Longevity, around 6 to 7 hours on skin (and longer on clothes), with good projection and sillage. Maceration should improve the good performance to much better.

Reef 31 by Reef smells similar to BF540, with that sweet saffron, amberwood and musky vibe, but I think I actually prefer this one a bit more. I don't usually buy these cheaper Arabian fragrances as I'm admittedly a bit of a niche snob, but this one is genuinely worth it. The box, bottle and presentation as a whole is really nice for the price too. Longevity is solid and sillage is moderate. I was going to give it an 8/10, but considering the quality and how inexpensive it is, it's probably closer to a 9/10. Definitely worth the money.

It doesn't have any fruits in it, but weirdly enough all i smell is pineapple from beginning till end. Its a very refreshing and pleasant fragrance. To me it's more a summer fragrance because of that fruity notes I keep smelling for some reason.

I bought this in Saudi while Reef was having a huge promotion - buy two bottles get three free!! 😍 this one is so nice. The opening is so pretty and smells nothing like bacarat rouge, but the dry down definitely has that DNA except this one is a touch more masculine to me. It’s got pretty good longevity but not a huge sillage. But I don’t mind respraying because the price is right and the opening is just so gorg

Saffron, vanilla, amber and sandalwood - these are the notes I smell in a linear fragrance that does not change from the opening to the dry down. Neither a clone of BR540 nor Erba Pura. A like for the books.

Smells like YSL Libre/ the intense minus the lavender, with a lil bit of Instant Crush . Unimpressed

Yikes, not a fan. Severely feminine leaning. Bright metallic saffron, so much so that it almost smells like a yellow hard candy. Note pyramid is extremely misleading. This wears floral and sweet. Not thick and ambery, and there is definitely no vanilla to be found. To my nose, an icy geranium note dominates the whole fragrance and gives it this floral and minty vibe. It’s also got that “shampoo” effect going on. If I had to paint a picture, I would say this smells like your typical womens designer floral fragrance lost a fight to erba pura. At least it’s strong though.

smells weirdly fruity. cant really put my nose on what is in it exactly but its a very pleasant smell, defo mass appealing
