The hammam, also called Turkish bath, is a traditional bathing culture that dates back to the Ottoman Empire. It was a very important ritual representing cleansing, relaxation, purification and social sharing during this ritual. Considering that I love doing it, I love this collection inspired by this wonderful tradition. I find it delicate, elegant and very pleasant. With Efil we have a wonderful and very clean rose surrounded by fruity, floral and ozonic notes, which give it a wonderful sense of cleanliness, velvety, fine. I love it . I came across this "masterpiece at first sniff" when I was travelling abroad last September. don't even remember how I found myself before the brand's counter but WOW is this a super realistic and potent rose scent!! I LOVED it so much I took a photo of the bottle so that I don't forget what it was. it's like crushing rose petals in your hand that have an intense and classic scent to them. I love a well done rose and I really really want to have this in my currently very minimal collection. truly aiming to get a bottle before the year ends. just WOW

At Zorlu Mall in Istanbul, they told us the story behind this fragrance. It was inspired by a special water traditionally prepared by women after a Turkish bath, feeling fresh, elegant, and beautiful. It has a wonderful story.

The wet Turkish rose interpretation, the magnificent combination of carnation and lily, the feeling of walking in an avant-garde flower garden.

Very airy citrus fruity opening leads to an airy rose all the while maintaining a dense musky soapy undertone, ending in a soapy rose, ending in a just barely perceptable ambery quality. The rose has a very airy quality about it. Masterfully done. Never qloying, always ethereal. The apple is crisp and fesh but it fades and gives way to the beautiful rose supported by the lilac mainly and then carnation. The carnation is floral as opposed to peppery. The soap aspect is very strong. For me, stronger than in Hammam. It's very high end soap. You know, the triplle milled, superfine kind. It's nostalgic for me, my grandmother had rose and lilac soaps back in ye olden days. Is this fragrance a "granma" perfume? Not to me. But I like "granma" perfumes. Objectively, the young folk may percieve it as such. I rather think it's understatedly elegant because it may be nostalgic but it doesn't smell dated. There's a density to the dry down, not from the rose as it is airy throughout but from the soapyness, so it may become a little much if oversprayed in extreme heat. Other than that it's a clean, freshly showered, floral soft soap. Lovely. Longevity is about 8 hours for me and excellent sillage. Good stuff.

I had been eyeing this for a while, and I was delighted with the scent when I finally got to try it in store. As the hammam theme suggests, this rose has a soapiness, but not the bland kind of soapiness commonly found in rose perfumes. This has the district potency of traditional turkish hammam "white soap". It's a scent that has an invigorating kick to it. The ozonic notes are perfectly counterbalanced with carnation and a base of white musks. The overall effect is a rose that somehow manages to be both soothing and invigorating. Projection is medium, and longevity is on the upper end of medium too: around 5-6 hours. In my mind this is beautifully suited to spring, and absolutely a daytime scent then. But I can also see myself wearing this year-round for a cozy night in after a nice shower, to get those rosy spa vibes at home.

No rose or fruit was to my nose. Several other people agree. It does smell good but don’t expect any rose or fruitiness. I got a soapy white soap and very linear. Performance above average. Was going to gift it to my wife who loves rose scents but I ended up giving it to my mom who smelled the test spray on my hand and loved it.
