Angelique Extrait de Vanilla

I love this perfume! To me, it is very witchy and mysterious and I am all about it. I have the Fragrance World Elysia Sugar Patchouli and this is so much prettier in my opinion. Angelique is smoother and the Patchouli is less in your face and more elegant. I think this is what I was hoping Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper would smell like, it's less rosy too(rose gives me mega scent migraines). I love the orchid and plum together in this fragrance as well. This is definitely going to be in regular rotation as it gets cooler in the fall. I got it for $18 on Amazon and loved it right from the first spray, so excellent blind buy for me. It's definitely on the gothic and dark side so take that into consideration if that's not your thing

The notes are wrong here. On the Riffs website the notes are; TOP: VANILLA ORCHID AND JASMINE; HEART: BROWN SUGAR AND TONKA BEAN; BASE: PALO SANTO, TONKA BEAN, GUAIAC WOOD, AMBRETTOLIDE, PERU BALSAM, PATCHOULI AND HAITIAN VETIVER. I've have not smelled the original however I really enjoy wearing Angelique a lot in the cooler weather cause its toasty and warming. I think you have to like the note of Palo Santo to enjoy this fragrance as it is quite prominent here as it does give a strong woody/incensey quality. At the top and mid there is a strong creamy sweet Vanilla almost custard like in texture but as it dries down you lose some of that creamy texture and get a more woodsy balsamic powdery sweet Vanilla scent.

For £23 this just might be my blind buy of the year 😍😍 amazing dupe of Vanilla Royal Sugar Patchouli - I adore that scent, but now I can spray this Riiffs version with wild abandon all day, every day. Sillage and longevity- monster on me- lasts all day and projects all round my room -love to use this as a layering base for so many other perfumes. Gets a ton of compliments, I have one back up bottle already but am tempted to pick up another, that’s how good this is

I love Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli, so I was hoping to get a good inspired by and Riffs did not play, however the initial spray is a bit alcoholic for me the first few minutes and then the dry down is there and aaaahhh the sugar, vanilla and rose come thru ever so lightly. I do say I get more of maple and amber as the base.This is not my favorite, but for the price I paid, it's not bad.

I’m still not sure how I geel about this fragrance. I blind bought it because I love patchouli but I’m used to a fruity patchouli, less sweet than this. This is dark and mysterious. It’s warm and cozy but at the same time kind of unsettling. Which probably only means it smells niche and distinctive. I don’t know that I will wear this but I like it as a personal scent around the house. It’s earthy, warm and weird. Kinda boozy even. Supposed to be a dupe for the kayali patchouli scent but I’ve never smelled that so idk. Lastly, I have to add that I don’t often write reviews but this is such a different scent I had to add my 2 cents in case anyone is looking for more comments on it. It’s extremely well blended and to my nose It leans equally feminine/masculine if you care about that sort of thing.

I can't compare to the OG, but this smells exactly the same as Fragrance World Elysia Sugar Patchouli, but 20% denser (as in it's like you sprayed 20% more juice). It's mostly a dense, creamy vanilla, a sharp/piercing rum well-blended into the vanilla (hence not overtly boozy), and a very mild earthy patchouli in the background simply so the composition isn't too silky smooth and boring (like how Bianco Latte and Amore Caffe can be too smooth and boring, for example). If you're confused, this is really just a creamy vanilla made to be dense and fall-appropriate. Seasonality: Fall/autumn appropriate as mentioned. Unisex, slightly leaning feminine considering it's a vanilla scent. Perfectly suitable for men who like vanilla scents. Date night and clubbing appropriate. Either this Riiffs or the Fragrance World clone are very high recommendations if you love scents like Billie Eilish Eilish 1/Lattafa Nebras or Aromatix X Xandal. This is one of my absolute favourite vanillas on the market, along with the Fragrance World clone. The Paris Corner December Vanilla clone excludes the well-blended rum accord, and is slightly more tame as a result, ultimately being only a dense, creamy vanilla with mild patchouli; very similar to Aromatix X Xandal without its moderate chocolate nuance (X Xandal also coincidentally excludes the rum accord from Van Py Rhum according to one reviewer). I much prefer the Riiffs and Fragrance World clones over the Paris Corner clone because I love boozy accords, even if this rum accord is not so obvious.

Do note that the box and bottle write 'Extrit de Vanilla', not 'Extrait'. There's a spelling error for a reason. The box says Eau de Parfum on the front. And the sticker underneath the bottle says Eau de Parfum 80% Vol., which I think implies 20% fragrance oil? Just FYI. The juice is excellent, though.

I have December Vanilla, but I find it kind of overly creamy, kind of... goopy? How is this one compared to that? I noticed this one skips the creme brulee note...

Hmmm...no vanilla, no creme brulee...I'm skeptical about this. It can't possibly smell close to the original OR "December Vanilla" without those two core notes...

This took a good month to develop after opening but the wait was worth it. Really enjoying this now.
