Harrods Parfum Pour Homme

Animalic opening and stays extremely herbal and piney throughout the ride. Very bitter herbal, oakmossy, vetivery. This is the way I would describe it. It is definitely not a crowd pleaser, but it is an acquired taste that might first seem very unique and challenging to those who are not accustomed to smelling the aforementioned descriptions. The citruses are 100% not the star of this show, as they only add accents to the bitter herbal pineyness. It gradually becomes more addicting after every wear despite my not-so-appealing description. It's a love. Edit: Seems like my juice is quite dark brown, and my description of the scent does not quite match up with my fellow fraghead compatriots. Part of me believes that my bottle may have been mislabelled and I might have gotten the Harrods Aoud, but who knows? Never put my nose to both side to side!

This has become one of my favorites from Roja! It's a stunning masculine fragrance that really gets noticed. I get a large blast of citrus in the opening and that stays around for the life of the fragrance. It is not sharp but very much makes it's presence know. In the dry down the wood in the fragrance becomes more prevalent as does a very clean vetiver. It's a classily masculine fragrance that is capturing from the first spray. I must say I look forward to wearing this fragrance every time I pick it up! It also preforms on my skin exceptionally well. It's one of the few citrus heavy fragrances that I get outstanding longevity. Overall great fragrance and another stellar offering from Roja!

Lemony-limey opening, like cracking open a sprite - then settles into a soapy, warm woody vaniliic scent. Really, really nice and perfect for summer nights. I'll be honest, I'd never have bought this ordinarily even thought I like it, but I was in Harrods for the first time on a trip to London, and my ex had bought loads and I'd bought nothing, and being a fragrance fanatic I ended up at the smelly counters. Bought this purely to remind me of being in London and at Harrods specifically. Everytime I look at the bottle now, I'll remember where I was at that moment in time. I can't say that about 90% of the bottles I own. This is like a souvenir I can wear.

This was a blind buy for me straight from Harrods. I got it due to the comparison to Oceania. I own both Oceania edp and Parfum. I can tell that at least 50% of it is Oceania based but is different enough not to be redundant. As outlined above it has a balsamic and amber accord that the Oceanias do not have. Which comes off more mature. Also slightly green in nature. More blue green than Oceania which is blue to me. I love it! I plan to wear it on different occasions than Oceania but both are work safe. If I could only have 3 fragrances this and Oceania would be in that selection. Probably with Imagination

Roja has created the kind of scent I want to luxuriate in during summer days and nights. It has wonderfully strong citrus and fruity element, but also has some great additions such a neroli, oakmoss and vanilla. This is not one of Roja's beasts, but it is just what I want in warm weather weather in a formal or informal setting. Silage is moderate and it last for about 5 hours on my skin. It definitely leans masculine. I can't see why anyone would hate this fragrance. The high quality notes and subtle blending make it well worth a sample.

Update after a few weeks: It is one of these Rojas you like and think is good at first but really grow to appreciate more and more as you wear it. Amazing! Just got it today and wow, it is incredible! I know what i am going to say next will be seen as an outrageous shortcut but it does feel like a mix of Elysium, Scandal and a bit of Diaghilev. What an incredible scent!

This has flown into my top ten easily! Was finding it hard to come across an absolute love but harrods pour homme came my way from a little sample and was an instant love! To me this is a beautiful citrus fougere with a slightly resinous base. This sparkles!! Very long lasting too which is rare with this type of dna. Amazing

Harrods is a unique masculine and mature fragrance. Starts out with bitter citruses. I do detect violet, oakmoss and geranium. The fragrance has almost a soapy quality. This is a great year-round scent. However, Harrods Parfum Pour Homme is better for warmer weather. In addition, this has surprisingly good performance.

This unheralded 2019 release has slowly become a favorite among my most recent haul of discovery atomizers. Vaguely, vaguely reminiscent of Scandal, it's a classy barbershop fougere, wrapped in a bone-dry lemony concrete accord. Do not sleep on this one!

A really grown up and mature citrus frag. Brilliant longevity on this one as well that is usually lacking in roja citrus frags. Similar to Oceania yes but more grown up with far superior performance

One of the best versatile scent I have smelt. It is lemon/lime mix with orange and laundry detergent powder in the background that makes it easy to wear. A very professional scent profile.

blind buy came today and im in love all rojas so far are total hits, roja harrods pph is a clean cut juicy lime with a nice barber shop aspect to it

Wooooow that is a luxurious, regal, bold version of Elysium. I love this 😍😍😍 I just tested it yesterday at Dubai mall and have to purchase it soon.

A very smooth and classy fragrance, reminds me a bit of a classy barbershop fougere with accents of vetiver, bergamot,lavender and orange.

Searching for a bottle, I live in Sweden.

This is a Gorgeous Chypre perfume. Opens with an almost candy like lime and bitter orange. Juicy, realistic and slightly sweet. The opening is very different to the mid and dry down in my opinion. It still has a candy like smell, but with soap and moss mixed in there. As the citruses calm down, the violet and labdanum starts opening up, followed by a rosey geranium. There are some flower notes i can't identify, and isn't a listed note. Could be an unlisted note or it could be a combination of the notes listed. I don't know. But it's Good. It also turns pretty soapy. The dry down is as good as the rest. It never leaves the citruses behind, but the citruses are now taking less space and givet room for a floral note, and an earthy accord, likely from Patchuly, vetiver and oakmoss. The earthy accord grounds the otherwize energetic scent and makes it feel like you're charged up and ready to spring into action, but you don't have to. The "Ambrarome" is supposed to be musky, ambery, and animalic. I don't get any animalic notes from it, but amber and musk i can identify some of. All in all, i'd call this a soapy scent. Very clean, fresh, citrusy, and vibrant scent. I do get a "beachy feel" from it. But that's just a place i go to in my head when i smell the dry down if this. Just a real laidback feel. Problem free, no rush and relaxed. Projects and performs great. This has an amazing scent bubble for a long time. I don't know if it's a fragrance i will wear a lot. I got a decant, and i only pick it up when i need a real blast of relaxed energy, which isn't often. Score: 8.5/10. What takes points away is: 1. The "candy like" scent, is a flavored hard candy kind of smell, and not something i gravitate towards. I never really want to smell like a child's candy. 2. The price is a definite knock on it. 3. It really doesn't smell like a mans fragrance to me. Unisex would be more accurate.

This was an instant love for me. From the first spray of sample I knew I had to have it. Then I put my nose to my wrist and instantly changed mind lol. This is one is all about sillage. As it settles I get whiffs of something sweet powdery and piney that's almost resinous (which I assume is a combination of the citruses with the juniper and vanilla) that has the vibe of a barbershop fragrance. As it continues to develop the violet becomes more prominent and it acquires a dryer sheet freshness similar to Portrait of a Lady or Oud Satin Mood (which leads me to believe there's some unlisted rose in here) that lasts for the duration of the fragrance. The lasts for hours. Potentially even a full day. I caught whiffs for 12+ for sure. It's subtle yet not a skin scent. It's sitting there waiting to catch some wind. To me this is special. Original Aventus level special. I would describe it as the perfect gentleman scent. It can be dress up or down and worn year round day or night. I would call it a masterpiece. Also there's something nostalgic about it which is a plus. 10/10 for me. I had to have a full bottle. The price tag is through the roof tho and I still suggest sampling first.

I sprayed 2 sprays in my elbow and on initial spray, I got a spicy and sharp saliva kind of smell in the air. After a few minutes, it calms down and smells good. After the 2-3 hour mark, it smells really really good. Goes down a classic chypre style with a slightly sharp green powdery scent. I was expecting something like Burlington but this stuff smells like less citrus and more green powdery scent. Projection is moderate to high in the first 2 hours and then it becomes a bubble. Doesn't become a skin scent till the 9-10 hour mark. It fits the old money character pretty well tho. This is definitely a decant first. It's not something that you should buy based off the notes. If you like old school slightly sharp green powdery scents then this might fit your preferences.

It's beautiful but performs weakly and projects intimately on me, unless i spray very very generously, both on skin and clothes, like about 15 sprays. The packaging and flacon are gorgeous, though.

Lovely aromatic chypre from the master perfumer. The perfume opens with a flurry of citrusy notes surrounded by aromatic notes of juniper. The heart is geranium, neroli, violet, vetiver and patchouli. The perfume settles on an ambrarome (labdanum derivative) and vanilla base surrounded by oakmoss, cashmere, vanilla and synthetic musk. The regal masculine leaning perfume has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Not his best work, but still very nice and immensely wearable. Enjoy!

HPH - elegance embodied. Roja Parfums is nowadays my favourite house; no other seems to do. I was, initially, eminently unwilling to get into this house owing to the almost exorbitant pricing. I get, I really do, that very few on this planet seek to spend sizeable sums on scented water - alas, I do, although I very much love doing so! Roja offers something different to the conventional fragrance house - say Xerjoff. Both brands offer luxury, they flirt with this idea of opulence bottled, but what sets Roja Dove apart is his affinity for his work and his continued desire to put out fragrances of the most extraordinary quality. There is not, to my nose, a bad Roja Parfums, PDV, or Semi-bespoke creation. This is not to say they are all mass appealing! However, the quality is oh so discernible, every time. HPH is stunning. It opens with this lemon and lime mix - remarkably fresh in this concentrated, punchy, manner. It undergoes remarkable change from here. On me, it turns very powdery and almost animalic. Officially, there is no cumin in here - I could attest to there being some, I swear. I think this creation is helped immeasurably by the inclusion of violet - it works as this ethereal rounding agent, which offers another dimension to an already excellent offering. I, typically, really do avoid fresh perfumery - there is more to be discovered, and loved, in heavier and more classical families and styles than the conventional men’s blue perfume. This, though, is neither blue nor conventional.

This a modern take on a classic men’s fragrance style. It’s easy to discount this one at first sniff. Unlike other Roja’s, the opening is a bit lackluster. Most Roja’s open with a blast of fresh, natural citruses, that really draws you in. This opens with a slight citrus but quickly moves to the floral heart. The first few wearings were unmemorable. But I eventually came around and realized what an interesting fragrance this is. The heart is dominated by geranium that’s almost has a menthol quality about it. Very eye opening! There are hints of other florals but the geranium is the prominent note coming through. At the same time juniper comes up through the base, first peeking though but becomes more prominent as time goes on and the geranium fades. The vibe I’m getting as the fragrance progresses is the classic Polo Green or TF Italian Cypress. In addition to the juniper you get a spicy quality. Projection/silage is moderate and longevity great. This fragrance seems to be under the radar and I suspect the limited availability and lackluster opening is responsible. This is a fragrance that won’t have that “wow” factor but if you give it a chance you will grow to appreciate and then love.

Harrods pour homme is an excellent gentleman's fragrance, traditional and barbershop like in its development, starts citrusy with lime being the stand out top note, however the opening is also enveloped in a spicy woody feel, if bois du Portugal and maybe guerlain heritage had a baby it would smell a bit like this, the usual Roja quality is here in abundance and each note feels suspended in the air, you can really pick out the notes in the composition, the vetiver never feels overdone like the patchouli, they just sing soapy harmonious tunes together, sometimes I catch the geranium giving a minty touch which is very clever and well orchestrated, performance is good and it projects well for a couple of hours but then sits close to the skin offering a sophisticated soapy feel, this would make a fabulous formal fragrance if budgets permit.

Pour Homme? Depressingly so in these metrosexual politically correct times. This manages to be a floral aquatic with some peppery bite. It is so well blended, so harmonious that you don't mind smelling it for that reason until you realise the title is misrepresentation. If you wanted to smell like a woman you'd look for a feminine leaning unisex or one for women. Then it starts being cloying. So nice smell but not if you want something that lives up to Harrods Pour Homme. A reluctant thumbs down. A neutral to up if it was given a more gender appropriate title. The sheer quality can't make up for the fact that this is just an excellent version of "nice". And at these prices etc etc... And to think they discontinued Danger pour Homme EDP What planet are they on?

I get pinaud clubman and aqua velva - very American barbershop products scent But overall the closest match for this is timeless Clive Christian not exactly identical but it does take you to that comparison, the citrus notes are the same - but I did also get a very strong resemblance to Aberdeen Lavender Creed. Got that same feeling. Great fragrance but I do believe it could have been better and unique.

I don’t know if a gentleman walking into the Harrods would be wearing this(as per the site) 🙂 but this one does smell very classy! An aromatic woody-citrus with good dosage of oakmoss, labdanum and geranium, that really intrigued me. And yes as always the bottles especially the caps steal the show 🙂 This Harrods exclusive is surely not what I deserve but the one I needed and hence got it 😉

Fresh opening from Bitter Orange, Lime and Juniper, as far as I know, Pine, Cypress, Juniper have the same conifers and same shade, if you know one of those types, the scent is sour, the cool is like that. A very smooth and classy fragrance. No wood notes, Ambrarome as described.

Very classy fruity chypre for men, very old money, sound vintage but it is not. Younger and better performance than Oceania. However, I love them both. Suitable for summer but versatile enough for all occasions. Love it ❤️

Smells exactly the same but a bit more nuanced and less loud than Roja Oceania and for twice the price. Personally I’ll stick with Oceania.

This smells like an easier to wear Jicky to me without the bad breath and mothballs lol.
