Turquoise

I wore Turquoise by Sage fragrance oil on my travels, which were mostly in tropical, beachy, humid places. For this reason, it's a very comforting scent to me and brings back memories. I own other aquatic scents, including Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, Replica's Beach Walk, and Sailing Day, and I find I still prefer Turquoise. As others have said, it does have this 'cooling' quality that feels very nice on a hot day, like a nice breeze coming in through the palm trees on the pathway to the beach or the refreshing feeling of getting out of the beach water after walking around in the heat. It's not overly salty or like seaweed at all and has no suntan lotion smell. It's clean, refreshing, calming, and it has a unique free spirit vibe. I will always have this in my collection for summer as long as it's made. I would consider this an everyday beach town or a tropical adventurous scent. I would wear it on a hot summer day anywhere.

Turquoise is so refreshing and pure-smelling it seems to cool my body temperature. It's hard to describe: It feels sharp and cold in my nostrils, like mint, but it doesn't smell like mint. It reminds me of spring water, fresh air, and light spicy flowers. Turquoise is an outstanding fragrance for those who are uncomfortable in heat, and want to smell like a splash of icy water. Lasting power is very good.

Turquoise smells like rain to me. Cooling rain. Not really like an oceanic blue but a blue grey cloudy day rain. Very cooling, refreshing. I usually hate aquatic scents but this one I like a lot. I can see wearing this in the high heat of summer or when I'm having a menopause hot flash. If you like fragrances that smell like cool water over light citruses and musk this is a good one to check out.

This perfume oil is pleasant, but lacks character, and I find it leans more masculine. It smells like any sort of light and breezy beach-themed men's cologne one might find at the counter of a mall.

The opening is definitely aquatic but other quickly dries down to that playdoh smell everyone refers to. On me it's more tobacco and cigarettes , which is too bad.

Pungent green and sharply fresh. I don't consider this to be floral at all. Tovah describes it very well. It's icy cold and sharp. I find this to be more of a summer scent than spring one. Lasting power and sillage are quite good for this type of scent. Updated August 2022: I brought this with me on my summer trip to a tropical country where temperatures hovered around 38-40 Cel and the humidity level was 95% This type of weather really brings out the beauty of Turquoise Sage. I enjoyed it much more when I used it there.

The perfume oil version of Sage Machado Turquoise perhaps does not do it justice. Or perhaps it does--judging by other reviewers' reactions! It smells vaguely citrus, vaguely floral, vaguely green, and ever-so-slightly sweet. "Oceanic beauty" is nowhere here to be seen, but perhaps should be relieved, than aquatics often do not agree with me. I am a big fan of turquoise, the stone, but maybe this is closer to magnesite.

A bit sharp initially, then warms up. I want to love it as Turquoise is my birth stone but I'm just no there with it. I too got the oil sample, but it didn't last very long on me and has the typical Sage Machado play-doish smell to it. Could be my skin, but I have purchased 2 of his scents and have every sample that he has made and they all share that scent.
